In SNAP appeal, Trump administration says it faces more harm than people who can't buy food: ANALYSIS

    excerpt:

"There is a paragraph on page 22 of the Trump administration's appeal of a federal judge's requirement that it make full November SNAP payments that has to be seen to be believed.

The opening sentence asserts that "the district court's order threatens significant and irreparable harm to the government which outweighs any claimed injury to plaintiffs."

In plain English, the Justice Department is telling the court that it would hurt the federal government more to comply with a judge's order requiring full food stamp payments than it would hurt millions of low-income Americans to potentially starve."

Trump robbing Peter to pay Peter.

Trump says he will give back to people some of the money he took from them because of his tariffs wars.

People against tariffs are fools: Trump announces $2,000 dividend for Americans

    excerpt:

US President Donald Trump on Sunday doubled down on his aggressive tariff policy, promising that every American -- except the wealthy -- will soon receive at least $2,000 from tariff revenues collected by his administration.

In a post on his Truth Social account, Trump lashed out at critics of his trade policy. "People that are against Tariffs are FOOLS!" he wrote, boasting that his administration had turned the United States into "the richest, most respected country in the world, with almost no inflation, and a record stock market price".

A grand jury rejected the felony charge that Trump wanted for the sandwich throwing incident.

A trial jury acquitted the man of a misdemeanor charge.

Jury acquits D.C. 'sandwich guy' charged with chucking a sub at a federal agent

    excerpt:

WASHINGTON — Jurors showed no appetite for the Justice Department's case against "sandwich guy," the D.C. resident who chucked a Subway sandwich at the chest of a federal officer, finding him not guilty Thursday after several hours of deliberations.

The jury — which feasted on sandwiches for lunch Thursday, according to a person familiar with jury lunches — deliberated the charges for several hours Wednesday and Thursday before delivering the verdict.

The resident, Sean Dunn, a former Justice Department paralegal, faced a single misdemeanor count after a federal grand jury rejected more serious charges over the encounter, which took place in the nightlife area of U Street in August.

How much injury to themselves are people willing to incur to support Trump's agenda.

    https://www.politico.com/news/2025/11/08/poll-trump-taxes-inflation-prices-00643212

    excerpt:

"In a polling experiment, POLITICO and Public First modeled how Trump can shape voters’ opinions of legislation that would cost or save them money. The typical Trump supporter would overlook having to pay about $65 more per month in taxes to back their leader, while anti-Trump voters would forego about $33 in savings if it meant opposing Trump’s agenda."

The president of Argentina was at Trump's party and dancing.

This is occurring after Trump gave Argentina $20 billion in bailout money and while Trump has cut off food assistance to the public and has appealed to the U.S. Supreme Court to keep the cuts going.

    https://www.cnn.com/2025/11/08/politics/anti-trump-vote-virigina-new-jersey

    excerpt:

"It showed 41% of registered voters said that if they were voting for Congress today, their vote would be meant to show opposition to Trump. Meanwhile, just 21% said their vote would be meant to show support for Trump.

So about twice as many anti-Trump votes as pro-Trump ones.

That’s not normal. While unpopular presidents are not exactly uncommon these days, that was actually the biggest such gap in CNN polling in nearly 20 years."

Judge bars Trump's use of National Guard in Portland indefinitely.

‘Huge victory’ in Portland as judge’s final order bars Trump from sending national guard

    excerpt:

A federal judge in Oregon on Friday blocked Donald Trump from deploying national guard troops to Portland, ruling there was no evidence of widespread violence to justify federal intervention.

The US district court judge, Karin Immergut, a Trump appointee, delivered her final order in the case on Friday. She found that protests near Portland’s Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility were “predominately peaceful, with only isolated and sporadic instances of relatively low-level violence”.

Trump is trying to circumvent a previous court order that said he couldn't use the Oregon National Guard in Portland, Oregon.

Trump has been trying to use the California National Guard in Portland to circumvent that order.

    He lost in court again.

ICE facing fierce backlash after video apparently shows unconscious man clutching child during arrest

    excerpt:

"US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is facing fierce questions after a video that appeared to show a man falling unconscious during an arrest while clutching a small child went viral, and officials accused the man of faking a medical emergency to stop the arrest of his wife.

The footage, obtained by the Boston Globe, shows a frantic commotion inside a vehicle in Fitchburg, Massachusetts, on Thursday. A desperate woman in the passenger seat tries to awaken the man in the driver’s seat, with a crying child in the middle. People can be heard shouting: “He’s having a seizure.” An officer can be seen trying to pull the passengers from the vehicle, while a Fitchburg police officer orders the crowd to “back up” repeatedly.

“They’re trying to rip the baby out of [his] hand,” another bystander says."

Trump pardons 77 people who were involved in his fake electors scheme to overturn the 2020 election.

Trump pardons Rudy Giuliani, Sydney Powell and others involved in fake elector scheme

    excerpt:

"The White House announced late Sunday evening that Donald Trump had issued pardons for members of his 2020 campaign legal team including Rudy Giuliani, Kenneth Chesebro and Sydney Powell, among others, for their involvement in a scheme to alter the slates of electors chosen by states that voted against Trump in that year’s presidential election.

A statement announcing a list of 77 people who were pardoned was tweeted out late Sunday evening, at 10:54 p.m. local time, by Trump’s “clemency czar” Ed Martin. It included a number of Americans who participated directly as members of the slates of false electors, whose purpose was to supplant duly-elected state electors bound to cast their states votes in the Electoral College for Joe Biden, after Biden won states including Georgia, Arizona and Michigan in the general election."

Men with weapons and masks on roaming the streets in the US terrorizing citizens? And hauling them off to detention centers? Get serious--that can"t happen here. If something like that happened, it would obviously mean that something very , very bad had happened here. So move on please. Pay no attention to wild rumors. :flushed: Go to work. Watch the ball game.
