Of course it's natural to be cynical about a politician who switches views all of a sudden. If MTG is being sincere she's gonna have to work hard to convince many people, myself included.
On the other hand someone who spent so much of their time falling in line with the toxic T---- mandated Republican bullshit when they didn't have to (like, say, Mitt Romney or Lisa Murkowski didn't) and even added weirdness like Jewish space lasers is not someone that should be trusted, or normalized, immediately.

 

I completely agree! I think too that she’s making these appearances to sway voters, and I’m talking about the voters who were republican but voted democrat during the last election. She’s clearly up to something. People have every reason to not put their faith and trust in her, and I don’t doubt that she’s laughing at these people behind their backs after these interviews - and if it’s found out that she’s being a two headed snake, she’s done. She could very well be a mole, or, could be doing it for personal political ambitions. The possibilities are endless. Remember, first and foremost- she’s a grifter!

To reiterate, Margie has come to realize that the Republicans will be annihilated in the mid-terms next year unless things change, and if she wants to be re-elected she needs to stand up to Trump and the GOP. With the blue wave we just experienced more and more members of her party will join her, and in order to win the voters back they may have to go as far as getting Trump to step down.

 

I don't see that likely. The people who support T---- loooooooove T---- and worship him, a lot of them literally. He is the only reason the Republicans have so much power right now. (Ironically this MAGAT crap has little to do with Republicanism, but they made his charisma and narcissism fit, and benefit it.) As long as he's around and bloviating, thanking people for their attention to his little matters, his cult will eat his bullshit up with a fork and spoon.
And any Republican on a national level who wants any level of success knows they have to kiss T----'s fat orange diapered ass, and realize he has to stay in power in order for the party to keep Project 2025 and all their other disgusting sociopathic agendas going, or at least give the appearance he's in power. Without him his cult doesn't really have a cause to rally around and the MAGAT movement falls apart. Maybe that's what MTG is preparing for. But as long as he's alive and able to grunt, the idiots will keep on blaming his fuckups on Joe Biden, Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton and her emails, Jimmy Kimmel, Blacks, Jews, Hispanics, Muslims, Trans, you name it!

 

Perhaps, but his cult of personality is unraveling. The Republicans who stop supporting him will start out as a trickle, then a flow then a flood. This will escalate if Trump's dementia becomes more obvious.

 

I see this with the Machiavellian politicians and business types. This useful idiot is starting to become less useful. I agree.
But somehow his dementia will be understood as martyrhood by his cult. He could put them all in concentration camps, rape babies and have diarrhea run from his diaper and they'll be lining up to lick his asshole until they die out.

 

He will “never” step down, never. Remember, he’s in competition with Obama, and at a minimum, he wants to be put on an even playing field with him. Elected for two terms, awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, etc., but he can never, EVER, compare himself to Barrack Obama. Nowhere near the same level!

Yup, his whole approach in life is comparison to others...and trying to make himself better than others. His assumption is life is a pie and he wants to have the biggest slice. Correction: he's entitled to the biggest slice. Maybe he desperately wants to prove something to his parents. If only he learned to let go. America and the rest of the world would be in a better place. He certainly would be.

 

We will definitely be in a better place come midterms and after this presidency. I just wish I could go to sleep and wake up 3 years into the future!

I haven't seen her warm up to the LGBT community either, or express concern for the environment, so there's that. We'll see!
