He’s telling us that Climate Change is not going to end humanity after 20 years of gaslighting us.

I would like to take this moment to remind everyone to read through my entire participation in this thread since 2023. Scroll through the pages.

You can do as much mental gymnastics as you want (which you certainly will), but this is a damning moment for Climate Change Alarmists.

Why on Earth would I waste my time reading the blitherings of a climate change denialist who's delusional enough to think that they're smarter than 97% of the world's climate scientists?

More than 99.9% of studies agree: Humans caused climate change

It seems your argument is that since Bill Gates tells us he believes we should reprioritize using funds to fight climate change to feeding the poor, due to Trump's cuts to The United States Agency for International Development; climate change is a hoax.
Further you seem to think that science claims the human effects of climate change will cause the extinction of mankind.

I know of no reputable scientific claim that the human effects of climate change must lead to the extinction of the human race.
Nor did bill Gates ever say that the human effects of climate change must lead to the extinction of the human race.
In fact on Oct. 28, 2025. Bill gates stated:
    You made that up.

What science tells us is that the ocean level will rise one foot, and possibly higher by 2100, hurricanes, storms, droughts, heat waves, and wildfires will increase and become stronger. Precipitation patterns will change. Growing seasons will increase and the Arctic may become ice free.
That doesn't mean that humans will become extinct, only that the poorest will be the ones who will be most affected.
    Not the "end humanity".

It means an increase of heat related illnesses, an increase of refugees from storms, flooding, and famine, and an increase of people migrating to more habitual sites.
And here's the point Gates is making:
Gates is telling us that since Trump has cut U.S. aid to those areas, we need to redirect funds to those areas as a priority to save the lives of the poor now.

Oh you’re really gonna play that Gaslight card?

None of the Climate Alarmists have EVER been saying for literally decades that Climate Change is Apocalyptic? That people shouldn’t have children? That we only have so many years until a breaking point that leads to our mass extinction?

You people are truly insufferable. Either that or you’re a bot.

Extinctions and climate change | Research Starters | EBSCO Research

Extinctions and climate change are closely linked, with historical patterns showing that global warming has contributed to significant species losses in the past. The phenomenon of mass extinctions, defined by the loss of at least 30 percent of species, has occurred multiple times throughout Earth’s history, often driven by complex environmental changes rather than a single cause. Climate change, through mechanisms such as habitat destruction, rising sea levels, and increased temperatures, poses a significant threat to both terrestrial and aquatic species. For instance, polar bears are endangered by the reduction of winter ice, while warming oceans create thermal stress for marine life and reduce oxygen levels, leading to further extinctions.

Climate change: Potential to end humanity is 'dangerously underexplored' say experts

Climate change: Potential to end humanity is 'dangerously underexplored' say experts

Global heating could become "catastrophic" for humanity if temperature rises are worse than many predict or cause cascades of events we have yet to consider, or indeed both. The world needs to start preparing for the possibility of a "climate endgame."

This is according to an international team of researchers led by the University of Cambridge, who propose a research agenda for facing up to bad-to-worst-case scenarios. These include outcomes ranging from a loss of 10% of the global population to eventual human extinction.

Please cite the instances of a scientific consensus that human caused climate change will lead to the extinction of the human race.

Also please quote Bill Gates saying the same...and provide links please.

I don't know what this is? Is this how you have a serious debate?
Where does it say that humans will become extinct resulting from human actions in under 250 million years?
Yes it should be explored, so should the threat of nuclear war, a global pandemic, an alien invasion, a super volcano eruption, carbon eating bacteria, an AI uprising, a asteroid strike, a gamma ray burst, a solar super flare, a collusion with a black hole, runaway nano technology, etc.
All possible causes of the extinction of mankind, all have been expressed by scientists, all deserve to be studied.

None of them mean global warming caused by mankind isn't real.

View attachment 388190 Here is the correct quote:
    Nothing about humans was said.
The WWF estimates that today the extinction rate is between 1,000 and 10,000 times higher than the natural extinction rate.*
And let's remember that speech was given when Greta was 16 years old, she is not a scientist.
    View attachment 388191

Not a scientist. Hyperbola, doesn't mean global warming caused by humans isn't real.

Modern extinction rates are alarming, with current estimates suggesting they may be 50 to 100 times higher than background rates, primarily due to human activity. This current wave of extinctions is unprecedented, being the first mass extinction event primarily driven by biotic factors related to human actions like habitat loss, pollution, and climate change. Studies indicate that if global temperatures continue to rise, the world could face a mass extinction, potentially affecting all mammals, including humans. To address this crisis, experts advocate for stronger environmental protections and preservation efforts to safeguard endangered species and biodiversity. Understanding the interplay between climate change and extinctions is vital for developing effective conservation strategies.

I’m not going to bother playing your Gaslighting games any further. You will just continue to dig in your heels over petty points.

I will just pin you to admitting that you have to now forcefully adopt the position that Climate Change will NOT lead to humanity’s extinction.

Therefore, I am not going to give two more shits about Climate Change. Bye.

Gaslighting is psychological abuse wherein someone tries to get another to question accepted reality or their sanity.

Do my responses to a debate about climate change cause you to question your sanity?

    Gaslighting employs:
Questioning a person’s memory. Have I done that?
Pretending not to understand the conversation. I'm not pretending, I'm offering data and counter arguments.
Belittling or disregarding how someone else feels. Do you feel I am disregarding you or belittling you. I have tried to be polite and listen to your arguments.
Denying responsibility for actions. I stand by my posts.
Changing the focus of a discussion by questioning the other person’s credibility. I have politely asked for sources I have not questioned your credibility.
Intentionally using negative stereotypes about your gender, race, ethnicity, sexuality, nationality, or age. Not me.

I agree that climate change will not lead to the extinction of the human race in the foreseeable future.
Never said it would and neither did Bill Gates.

Too bad you don't wish to debate or discuss this topic anymore, an exchange of ideas can lead to knowledge.

I just won the discussion. We are now at a place where you have to adopt the position that Climate Change will not lead to Humanity’s demise. Therefore, it’s not Apocalyptic like you all pretended it was, or believed it was.

Since you refuse to consider that you got utterly conned and scammed by Bill Gates, your only other alternative is to follow his latest whim and do an about-face on what Climate Change is really all about.

Either way, we’re not all gonna get wiped out. You’ve lost the debate officially. ✌️

I wasn't aware that this was a contest.

But when did I ever claim that climate change due to humans would result in the extinction of the human race?
Who is this "you all" that are pretending it will? Are you talking about main stream climate scientists? Who are they?

It seems that you are declaring that "you all" claim that climate change will lead to humanity’s demise, without offering any reputable scientific consensus by reputable climate scientists that it will, then you claim "victory" because climate change leading to humanity’s demise was never a scientific consensus to begin with.

Make up a fictional outcome then claim victory when I agree that it is, in fact, fictional.

And what's in this argument for you, Chinacat? I have never listened to anything Bill Gates has said and don't give a shit how he feels about anything. Or much of what anyone anyone else thinks for that matter. Including you. I can read. I can see where various natural scenarios are being affected. I , personally have never claimed humanity will go extinct, merely that there may be some rough times coming.

The oceans have already risen dramatically in temperature, the ice everywhere is melting, volcanoes are exploding, and the oceans are turning green, as everything in them dies.

Call it Global Warming or Suicide, but we are killing ourselves, and nobody's actually talking about it. Greta Thuneberg is simply spitting into the wind. Our children are dying in record numbers, and young men as well, while all of modern civilization has been diagnosed with Stockholm Syndrome, and academia refuses to do the research.
