Don't expect Trump to abide by the authority of Congress.

The U.S. had devolved to the level where the White House is doing podcasts for someone like Kirk.

Senate confirms Stephen Miran for seat on Federal Reserve board as Trump’s bid to oust Lisa Cook foiled by court - as it happened | Charlie Kirk shooting | The Guardian

    excerpt:

"JD Vance guest-hosted the late Charlie Kirk’s podcast today live from his office in the White House complex. Vance was joined by key conservative voices, and members of the Trump administration, including Stephen Miller, Trump’s deputy chief of policy and architect of the administration’s hardline immigration policy, press secretary."

Vance hosts The Charlie Kirk Show from the White House.

    excerpt:

"It featured appearances from several key Trump administration officials, including White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles, Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller, press secretary Karoline Leavitt and Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy. They were joined by Kirk's former colleagues and friends, who reflected on the activist's legacy and discussed how leaders can sustain the movement he built over the past 13 years."

Racism, Rhetoric, and Charlie Kirk: A Reality We Can’t Ignore

    excerpt:

"But the problem I would have in affirming this life at an end-of-life ceremony is that he evidently did not care in his living about the security and comfort of others. He did not show empathy. Whether he believed what he espoused, or it was simply a marketing ploy for influence and money, I don’t know, and no one will ever know for sure. But Charlie Kirk expanded hatred, marketed the vile speech of old racism in new wineskins, and further jeopardized the lives and security of others.

The right wing is working hard to make a political martyr of him. The President has ordered flags to be flown at half-mast ahead of any remembrance of 9-11. Donald Trump talked about lowering the temperature of the political language that is used, but in the next breath criticized “the radical left” for castigating the hate language of Kirk.

If we are going to be truthful in this moment, the hate that Kirk put out came back on him, and the violent political language that continues to fly in this country will continue to manifest itself in ways where we will continually be praying for victims and their families."

The puzzling patience of US politicians towards Trump’s unmaking of Indo-American ties

    excerpt:

"That most have been too cowardly or distracted to do so says a lot more about where the United States really stands than the public lamenting of former American diplomats and politicians. More than Trump’s obnoxious, if not unhinged, behaviour, the failure of hundreds across Washington to stand up is really the tragedy that Trump’s turn exposed. India has every right to be offended."

Appeals court says Cook can stay on Fed board, leaving intact a lower court order that reinstated her.

Trump has been trying to fire her and keep her off the board ahead of a interest rate hearing.

Appeals court says Lisa Cook can remain Fed governor for now, rejecting Trump bid to remove her

    excerpt:

"The Federal Reserve Act specifies that the president can only remove a Fed governor "for cause." While the term is not defined in the law, Cobb found "for cause" refers to in-office conduct. Because Cook's alleged misrepresentations on mortgage documents predate her tenure as a Fed governor, Cobb ruled that Mr. Trump lacked "cause" to remove Cook."

Trump's remark on second U.S. strike on a Venezuelan boat that reportedly killed three people:

“We have proof. All you have to do is look at the cargo that was spattered all over the ocean – big bags of cocaine and and fentanyl all over the place.”

Trump is once again talking about sending the military to Chicago. He said it may be next after Memphis.

Trump sends National Guard, more federal law enforcement to Memphis

    excerpt:

"The task force, Trump said, will be a "replica" of the federal deployment seen in Washington, D.C. — a mixture of troops from the National Guard, agents from the FBI, Drug Enforcement, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Homeland Security and U.S. Marshals Service. It also will see more federal prosecutors in Memphis."

Trump's speech sounds slurred in that video compared with years past.

He should be at his best diction when he's in the White House and under the best controlled conditions.

    Trump threatening America's own cities.

Chicago in particular. He said they would find out why it's called the Department of War.

Anyone else would be charged with inducing panic and making terrorist threats.

Likewise, don't expect the conservatives on the Supreme Court to abide by the authority of Congress.

They give preference to their perceived authority of Trump with labels such as 'conclusive' and 'preclusive', as they did when they gave him immunity.

    excerpt:

Most notably, the White House and Intel CEO Lip-Bu Tan announced in August that the government would take a 10 percent stake in the company. After Trump said Tan had too much exposure to China and called for his firing, the executive went to Washington to try to appease the president and signed off on the government’s acquisition.

“They said it’s a passive stake but with this administration, does it stay that way?,” said Stacy Rasgon, senior semiconductor analyst at Bernstein Research. “What happens if Intel needs to do something that’s misaligned to what the government or, frankly, what Trump personally wants? The government is now picking winners and losers — the whole thing sets a bad precedent.”
