A couple weeks ago, Trump said he was upset about Putin not ending his war on Ukraine. Last Friday, Trump met with Putin, took orders from him, and told Zelensky that Putin won't return Crimea and that Ukraine can't become a member of NATO. In what was supposed to be pressure on Putin to end the war, Trump now says it's up to Zelensky to end the war by accepting Putin's orders.
Trump says Zelenskyy can end Russia war 'almost immediately' before hosting seven European leaders excerpt: After meeting with Putin, Trump said the Russian leader was willing to end the war in exchange for key Ukrainian territorial concessions. He added that Kyiv should take the deal because "Russia is a very big power, and they're not."

That's another order Trump is taking from Putin. Trump vows to end use of mail-in ballots ahead of 2026 midterm election excerpt: "Trump's comments follow his meeting with his Russian counterpart on Friday, after which Trump said Vladimir Putin agreed with him on ending mail-in balloting."
The public considers those attributes to be virtues. Trump approval rating surges after Putin summit. Donald Trump's approval rating surges after Putin summit

The $232 million is funding the Army is putting up, however, Bloomberg reported that the Fort Bliss contract is worth $1.26 billion. According to the U.S. Department of Defense, the center will be completed on Sept. 30, 2027."
Angry Trump Accidentally Blurts Out Unnerving New Plot to Rig Midterms excerpt: "Trump appears prepared to have a second run at such an executive order. But what’s critical about Monday’s post is he connected this scheme directly to the midterms, inadvertently revealing the real aim behind it. Trump’s new rant says he’s going to “lead a movement to get rid of” mail balloting, then later says this “movement” will begin with his new executive order—a strong indication he will try to ban vote-by-mail by executive order. Voting rights advocates have long expected him to attempt something like this, perhaps by arguing that vote-by-mail is a threat to national security. That’s because Trump’s argument for his previous executive order failed in the courts after judges affirmed that the Constitution authorizes states to set the “time, place and manner” of elections."

Tiger Woods Reportedly Wants To Say 'I Do' In The White House After Donald Trump's Blessings excerpt: Tiger Woods and Vanessa Trump seem to want to say their vows the most American way possible! The couple reportedly has a very symbolic venue in mind for their upcoming wedding following the confirmation of their relationship on social media months ago. Tiger Woods and Vanessa Trump are on smooth sailing towards forever since President Donald Trump, Vanessa's former father-in-law, endorsed the relationship.
Trump says his attorneys are currently writing up the executive order carefully. It's an attempt to rig the 2026 election so that the GOP keeps control of the House and Senate. The GOP in Texas will be gerrymandering its districts to garner up to 8 more seats so that the GOP can retain control of the House. The GOP is also talking about gerrymandering other states such as Ohio, Missouri, and Florida ahead of the 2026 election.
It looks like it's getting to the point where the GOP will gerrymander every two-year election cycle to try to maximize power. Redistricting used to be done every ten years after the census. In what amounts to another election-rigging attempt. Trump is talking about re-doing the 2020 census before the 2026 election. He wants to not count people who are in the country illegally or who have questionable credentials in an attempt to disenfranchise groups in a way that will give the GOP more power.
It will end up as a fierce battle in the courts. Trump can hope that the upcoming court battles will be reviewed in a cursory manner by the Supreme Court intially and that the conservatives on the court, like they have recently, will let Trump do what he wants until the courts decide later (perhaps years later) if what he's doing is Constitutional.
A partial list of Trump's power grab actions or potential actions that he hopes the Supreme Court will allow at least temporarily. Deporting hundreds of people of questionable legal status out of the country. Trump has done this already with the deportees receving no due process. Bullying legal visitors by, unbeknownst to them, revoking their visas and having ICE arrest them (a Tufts U. student was in jail for six weeks because she co-wrote an op-ed critical of the Israeli government) Arresting people by claiming they somehow broke the law by allegedly being sympathetic to Hamas or because they allegedly interfered with Trump's foreign policy. Redo the 2020 census and make the numbers in force before the 2026 elections. Dispose of all mail-in voting and voting machines, possibly by declaring yet another national emergency. Gerrymander Texas and possibly others states like Ohio, Missouri, and Florida before the 2026 mid-term elections. Effectively take control of blue cities using federal agents like he has done in DC, although it will be more difficult legally compared to DC. Declaring a national emergency is a possible approach.
So....Trump's big beautiful bill for the most part does not go into effect till AFTER the midterm elections. The Republicans are scared if it goes into affect before the elections. And people are suffering from it. That they won't get re-elected.
