Glitch in the Matrix

So last week I went back to my exes house in a different state to visit my kids, go to the doctor and dentist and see my dad. While I was there I packed a small box with some odds and ends I wanted to bring back to my camper that I have been living in since most of my stuff is still being stored at the house. I had wanted to grab the tin of pre-rolled cones that I had but I couldn't find them anywhere, I finally gave up looking and took the pack of rolling papers that I never use instead. (I use them for smoking mugwort to help with dreaming, in case anyone was wondering, lol) I finished packing the box and put it in my truck, when I traveled back to my camper the box stayed in the truck, untouched for a few days. Today, I finally brought it in and began to unpack it. The tin of cones was inside it. No one had known that I was looking for them and had no reason to put them in the box when I wasn't looking. I have no idea how they got there but at least I have them now, lol.

What's the strangest incident you remember?

 

I keep my SS card in a business folder. One day I needed it, I looked inside, and it wasn't there. So I dumped the contents of the folder on the table, I shook it and looked inside. It was completely empty and I'm 1000% sure. I even ran my hand down inside and was cursing. I took each individual paper and placed it back inside and still, it was not there. I start looking elsewhere, and you know how when you can't find something, you begin circling around and around looking in the same places. Finally, I open the folder one last time and there it was. Just sitting right there. That's what made me wonder, but I try to stay logical and think about the most likely first.

 

@MeAgain Those are all very interesting stories, thank you for sharing them. Although I would probably classify them more as synchronicities than glitches, like when things just line up perfectly. A glitch is more like knowing you only had one of a certain mug but then you suddenly have two appear, you know you broke a mug but weeks later you find it in your cupboard without any damage, or you know you had the last cookie but suddenly there is another one in the package...things like that.

There was one time I was sitting in a restaurant outside of a mall, I was looking out the window, it was a warm sunny day, not a cloud to be seen. A couple walked by , going into the mall, they were wearing heavy coats and boots and carrying an umbrella. I thought it was strange and was commenting to my companion about it when about 10 seconds later they walked past again heading into the mall, they had not turned around and there was no time for them to get to a different exit and circle back around.

 

Very glitchy, lol.

 

Oh, I was just reminded of another time this happened. This was probably some 15 years ago, but this guy wrote me a check for his rent and I held it in my hand to the car then I literally put it in my pocket and got straight in my car and went home. I walked inside, took all of my clothes off and got a shower. After that I went to look for it and it was gone. I walked out, traced my path looking everywhere on the ground just to be sure and looked in my car. I walked back and forth, back and forth like 20 times and that check was just gone. There is no way for that check to be anywhere else except either in my car, the ground leading to my front door or inside my house.

To this day, I have never seen that check ever again. It's like it vanished into thin air. That guy had to cancel the check and write me another one, but I thought that was super weird because I'm very thorough when I look for stuff.
