Anxiety issues I went through in 2007 was tough and I got through it. It was after I was sexually assaulted and raped by a fellow male soldier in the unit I was in during my time in the Marines. I get full disability military benefits from it to this day. He would not take no for an answer and that is when it happened. I had anxiety issues after it happen and nothing was done about the sexual assault and rape after I reported it. Good thing my husband, family and friends were there for support during the recovery and it was one step at a time. I overcame it and the VA paid for the therapy sessions.
I am so sorry that this happened. Sadly, you are not alone. This type of crime is so damaging. I am glad you sought help and got it. Many are too afraid or ashamed. I am glad you were brave, got help and have VA benefits
Never been able to figure out why anyone would want to force someone to do something that they did not want to do. Especially something as personal as forcing sex on an unwilling person. It's so violent and personal. I'm sorry you had to go through what happened to you. Men get by with this way too often.
It was and he was making sexual advances towards me before it happened which I reported it. Nothing was done about it too. I do have a panic attack once in a while I watched something on HBO on this, a documentary on the rapes and sexual assault in the military. It was not pretty watching the interview on some victims and was this one, The Invisible War
