Good question. Is it exhibitionism if everyone is naked? I can see it seeming so for some since not all people are built the same. Perhaps they're exhibiting what they have, but when you think about it, it isn't very different than a room full of clothed people with some looking sharper than others.

 

In the defined psychological sense of the term, no. Exhibitionists create a sexually charged atmosphere exposing themselves to unsuspecting people. It's the shock and awe scenario that exhibitionists are drawn to. Nudists are sans clothing in a social environment among likewise people. It is the thought of interacting without the restriction of clothing while comfortable their complete body is on display that nudists enjoy.

 

I’m not the type who wants to surprise people who do not want to see. You can get arrested that way.

I do think nudist have an exhibitionistic aspect to their behavior. This difference is that the nudist is in a consenting environment with other nudists.

I’m not saying ALL nudists enjoy showing their bodies to other nudists. But I believe there is a significant percentage! I know a nude beach/club has great appeal to the aspects of my personality that are part exhibitionistic, part voyeur and part candaulistic.

even my sexually repressed wife has been turned on by the environment. She rationalized it as “just a sexy environment.”

 

This is such a true observation. As much as those who engage in social nudity want to separate nudity from sex there is still that exhibitionistic / voyeur aspect that happens when people remove their clothing.

 

Oh yes. I posted pictures in the past, videos too of me finishing. Even videoed people a few times! I love going out without underwear too! Love the thrill

 

I definitely have exhibitionist tendency’s, I blame a few girlfriends and my wife that. No shortage of fun however.
