The way Trump ranted at Zelensky yesterday is how he should be talking to Putin! Especially pointing at him while accusing Putin of starting the war.

Did Trump just betray Ukraine by telling Putin about the arms shipment from the UK in container ships?

Russian missiles just hit two container ships bringing the latest weapons to defend Ukraine. He probably finked to Putin to do him a big favor and own Zelensky.

This means American intelligence is now compromised indefinitely to serve the personal egos of Trump and Musk.

Trump will do anything to retaliate against people he thinks wronged him.

SNL should do a skit where Zelensky is at the White House meeting with Trump and at the end Trump pulls off his mask and it's Putin underneath.

Possible new tariffs on Canadian lumber.

    https://www.cbc.ca/news/world/trump-lumber-imports-1.7472500

    excerpt:

"U.S. President Donald Trump on Saturday ordered a new trade investigation that could heap more tariffs on imported lumber, adding to existing duties on Canadian softwood lumber and 25 per cent tariffs on all Canadian and Mexican goods due next week.

In his third new tariff probe in a week, Trump signed a memo ordering Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick to initiate a national security investigation into U.S. lumber imports under Section 232 of the Trade Expansion Act of 1962. The trade law is the one Trump also used to impose tariffs on global steel and aluminum imports."

Vance berated Europe when he visited before the meeting at the White House with Zelensky.

JD Vance attacks Europe over migration, free speech – POLITICO

    excerpt:

“The threat that I worry the most about vis-à-vis Europe is not Russia. It’s not China, it’s not any other external actor. And what I worry about is the threat from within,” the vice president said. “The retreat of Europe from some of its most fundamental values, values shared with the United States of America.”

    https://www.politico.com/news/2025/03/01/trump-zelenskyy-meeting-lisa-murkowski-00206874

    excerpt:

“This week started with administration officials refusing to acknowledge that Russia started the war in Ukraine,” Murkowski said. “It ends with a tense, shocking conversation in the Oval Office and whispers from the White House that they may try to end all U.S. support for Ukraine.”

Trump and Vice President JD Vance’s dressing down of Zelenskyy in Washington on Friday marked a notable turn in American foreign policy. For weeks, the administration has indicated that aligning with longtime allies in Europe was no longer America’s priority, with Vance chastising them on their doorstep in Munich in February in a speech that sent shockwaves across the globe.

Russian lawmaker predicted Trump and Vance ambushing Zelensky.

Russian Lawmaker Predicted the Trump-Vance Ambush of Zelensky

    excerpt:

One day earlier, Zelensky’s Oval Office ambush was predicted by State Duma member Oleg Morozov on 60 Minutes, a state TV show. Morozov said that the meeting would be a lesson in humiliation, designed to condition Zelensky to capitulate to the United States—and later to Russia. The lawmaker said that the Ukrainian president was flying to America “to sign an act of capitulation,” referring to the rare earth mineral deal Trump was determined to get as a “payback” for previous aid to Ukraine. Describing Trump as Zelensky’s “Daddy,” Morozov predicted, “They will rub his nose into everything, like a messy puppy… Then he will sign whatever he is told to sign.” Host Evgeny Popov chimed in, “But first, Daddy will flog him.”

During the same show, Vitaly Tretyakov, Dean of the Higher School of Television at Moscow’s State University, praised Trump by explaining, “I really like what he is doing right now… I like his revolutionary approach… He did our job for us that we did not dare to do.”

Popov pointed out that Trump is strangling America’s friends and allies. Tretyakov noted, “He is pursuing policies that are beneficial for Russia.” He surmised, “With respect to Ukraine, he is ready to give Russia everything it wants to take.”

Zelenskyy seeks support at emergency European summit after bruising Trump encounter

    excerpt:

Most European countries came out in support of Ukraine, breaking with Washington as differences in the trans-Atlantic alliance built over the past 80 years burst into public view.

“Today it became clear that the free world needs a new leader. It’s up to us, Europeans, to take this challenge,” European Union foreign minister Kaja Kallas said.

Vance played the role of attack dog for Trump instead of trying to calm the situation.

Vance took the lead attacking Zelensky. Why?

    excerpt:

"Vance's remarkable attack on a visiting head of state is not typical for a US vice-president.

Their job is often - but not always - to help get the president elected and then sit quietly at their boss's side. To be a loyal lieutenant representing the president on foreign trips - standing by, one heartbeat, so they say, from the presidency.

The contrast with Trump's first VP, the much more mild-mannered Mike Pence, could not be greater.

But Vance - who is widely seen as serving to articulate the rationale behind Trump's foreign policy gut instincts - has long been outspokenly sceptical of US aid to Ukraine.

When he was running for the Ohio Senate in 2022, Vance told a podcast: "I've got to be honest with you. I don't really care what happens to Ukraine one way or the other."

The vice-president derided Trump as an idiot eight years ago, before a political evolution that culminated in him becoming heir apparent to the president's Make America Great Again movement."

Stephen Miller talked about the Trump-Zelensky meeting as if it was a UFC fight with Trump being the winner.

‘Bewildering’: US media and politicians react to Trump’s televised attack on Zelenskyy

    excerpt:

"The White House deputy chief of staff for policy, Stephen Miller, called out what he termed Zelenskyy’s “impertinence” and described the showdown as “one of the great moments in the history of American diplomacy”.

“Millions of American hearts swelled with overflowing pride today to watch President Trump put Zelenskyy in his place,” Miller said, without elaborating on what public opinion information he had to justify that belief."
The French president, Emmanuel Macron, said if someone is gambling with the third world war – as Trump accused Zelenskyy of doing on Friday – it was not Zelenskyy.

“If anyone is gambling with World War III, his name is Vladimir Putin,” said Macron, after Trump complained that Zelenskyy had been overly negative about the Russian dictator.

‘Bewildering’: US media and politicians react to Trump’s televised attack on Zelenskyy

    excerpt:

“It is bewildering to see Mr Trump’s allies defending this debacle as some show of American strength,” the conservative-leaning Wall Street Journal editorial board said on Saturday, noting that US aims of limiting Russian expansionism without the use of US forces was now “harder to achieve”.

The outlet warned that “turning Ukraine over to Mr Putin would be catastrophic for that country and Europe, but it would be a political calamity for Mr Trump too.

“Friday’s spectacle won’t make [Putin] any more willing to stop his onslaught” after invading Ukraine in 2022.

    Trump fired her.

She fell for Trump's promise about IVF.

    https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2025/02/27/fired-federal-worker-trump-voter/

    excerpt:

"Trump, at a campaign stop an hour and a half south of her, had promised to make IVF free. She knew that from a video clip she saw on TikTok. And she had believed him.

She also believed him when he said that Project 2025, the conservative blueprint for the next Republican administration that suggested mass cuts to the federal workforce, was not his plan."

Where has sh been for the past nine years.

Perhaps it's not wise to trust and vote for someone who has 91 criminal charges against him, federal and state, in multiple jurisdictions around the country, who's a convicted felon, who was convicted of defamation and sexual assault, who was convicted of financial fraud in both the civil and criminal dockets, and who said he had the right to grab women by the crotch.

If someone is behaving in that manner with others, he will likely treat you the same.

Boxes of trump property have been returned to Mar-a-Lago using Air Force One

In what had initially appeared to be an easy case for the DOJ to win, Judge Cannon in FL dismissed the documents case entirely in July 2024 about two weeks after the U.S. Supreme Court granted Trump presidential immunity and Justice Clarence Thomas opined that he thought Jack Smith didn't have the authority to prosecute Trump.

It was another fringe benefit Trump garnered from the immunity ruling, even though the stray opinion by Thomas about Jack Smith didn't have anything to do with the ruling.

The debate about the authority of special counsel is an issue in itself and isn't contingent on the immunity ruling. Legal maneuvers to try to dismiss the powers of special counsel have failed numerous times in the past.

FBI returns records from Mar-a-Lago search to Trump, White House says

    excerpt:

"The White House said on Friday that the FBI had given President Donald Trump boxes stemming from a search of his Florida property for classified documents that were taken after Trump left office during his first term.

It was not immediately clear whether the boxes included classified materials, but Trump celebrated obtaining them in a post on Truth Social on Friday night."

Sounds like an act of war. The ship was carrying a Panama flag and was owned by the Swiss. Putin claims it was carrying NATO goods from Turkey and the UK.
They offered no proof and Ukraine says it carried 'completely civilian cargoes'.

At least 20 foreign merchant ships have been damaged in previous strikes by Russia, according to Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky.
