Yes, as amatter of fact, it does! Didn't you say one of the things you liked about Trump's policies was "defining sex as based on biology"? Seems to me that's a whole lot broader and vaguer than ther particular reservations. The experts in the field agree that sex isn't gender, but you and other Retrumplicans seem to think it is, so we impose your view by political fiat. Lord Pembroke used to say "Parliament can do anything except make a man into a woman," Henry Herbert, 2nd Earl of Pembroke Quote but I guess the Trump Administration has the Brits beat on that one! The policy you favor supports a practice that currently denies passports to folks who would prefer to go by a designation in keeping with their present anatomy instead of their birth certificate. Customs officer looks at passport stating "female" and then looks at the bearded, masculine-looking person in line and what--waves "her" thru? Or person with beard and male genitalia is told (s)he must use the ladies room cuz that's what it says on "her" birth certificate. I've been called politically incorrect for saying we should go by what's currently between our legs, but that seems sensible to me. Anyhow, all the fuss about sex and gender takes the focus off critical issues affecting the economy, foreign policy, and a looming constitutional crisis with the courts--which I suspect is the whole idea.

Yes, I suppose that was your whole idea. I remain consistent-- In large part I don't care about someone's sexuality (gay-straight). And yes, check what plumbing you were born with. Simple.

But you care about insisting on the aforementioned policy of "defining sex as based on biology" (which of course nature defined already, in a non-binary way.) We're talking about sex, not sexuality. And going by past rather than present plumbing doesn't make sense. And it wasn't my idea. It was Trump's--and yours!

Yes. The "equipment" one was born with. If a man cuts his penis off it doesn't make him a woman. It makes him a man that had his penis cut off.
Yes--It's your idea to keep dragging this on and on.

As the saying goes, it takes two to tango. If he or she has the equipment of the sex he/she transitioned into, complete with hormones, boobs or lack thereof,, etc., I'd say it makes that person whatever the functioning new equipment says he/she is. The Reagan Republicans of yesteryear used to make a big deal about keeping the government out of our lives . I can't think of anything more intrusive than telling someone who has undergone a sex change that (s)he has to go back--or be treated as a second class citizen . Why? If it looks like a guy, acts like a guy, and pees like a guy, or a girl, and they like it, what difference does it make to you what they were at birth? You haven't explained that yet. And my point about making an issue of something essentially trivial is that it's a distraction, whether or not intentional, from more pressing concerns--like Social Security, the price of eggs , terrorism, etc. And a wedge issue for dividing and conquering.

    There is no discussion needed.
Putin invaded a sovereign country, killed, raped, and abducted it's citizens including 16,221children; and bombed it's cities, infrastructure, and hospitals.
And he remains in Ukrainian land killing, raping, and bombing at will.

All he has to do is leave.

Meanwhile Trump is demanding "$500 billion worth of rare earth," (natural resources) from Ukraine or he will stop supporting them and he wants to give Putin part of Ukraine.

Past atrocities do not mean we can't object to present atrocities.
As a nation we have committee many foul deeds, that doesn't mean we can't object when other countries do something abhorrent.

Are you telling me that just becasue we condoned slavery at one time we have no business objecting to it now?

correct however it gives much less credence "do as I say not as I do ( or did)"
we can object until the cows come home, expecting a country to give up the spoils of war is kinda silly and does not happen often, the end of wars are negotiated, negotiations start with discussion

Countries give up the spoils of war many times.
Just in recent history Germany gave up France, Poland, portions of the Soviet Union, the Sudetenland, Austria, Southern Denmark, Norway, Belgium, the Netherlands, Britain's Channel Islands, and Italy.

Japan gave up parts of China, the Soviet Union, Mongolia, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Brunei, Micronesia, Indonesia, Kiribati, Korea, Malaysia, Marshall Islands, Myanmar, Nauru, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Singapore, Solomon Islands, Taiwan, Thailand..
and, parts of Alaska, Guam, Wake Island, and various other United States Pacific Islands.

Note we went to war with Japan after they invaded the last places and they gave up the spoils of war to us.

    So negotiate by all means.
Start by demanding Putin leave all occupied Ukrainian territory and then discussing what reparations they will make for their actions.
