Americans are split over Biden's performance as President. Personally I think he did a good job of cleaning up the mess that Trump left behind (and will leave behind). Others blame him for the lingering problems in the economy and immigration. If you're one of the blamers you should post it, but it seems you already have.
It was a simple question. Why go back to Eisenhower but not Biden? Even Carter is missing, but out of respect for the recent dead, that can be overlooked.
I have already voted BUT by what metric is the worst judged? Bush jr lied about a war Nixon was nuttier than a fruitcake at the end of his term Carter screwed up the economy something fierce Trump is also a liar and an asshole Clinton violated the oval office I mean they are all humans with faults that get magnified by virtue of the position. Nixon and trump are the only ones that did shit with malice so
I didn't know anything about trump. Didn't know he was in real estate. Didn't know he was on tv. Had no idea how he was regarded in New York when he announced he was running for president. I thought--"ok --let's give this guy a chance and see what kind of a person / president he will be. THEN following the happened and right then I knew that this person was rotten to the core! I am posting it as follows now--------.
Among the many lessons I tried to impart to my children as they were growing up was--"never make fun of or mock those less fortunate than yourselves." Obviously the fuck head above did not get the word in his household. Disgusting behavior!!
I don't think that Biden was a great president---BUT---no president in history is / was such a lousy, crooked, lying, asshole as trump!
You have to remember that just because most people here are against Trump, doesn't mean we think Biden was great. There is a large gap across that spectrum that most fall into. I also want to point out that this poll was made in 2006 and may have been updated to include trump during his first term, before Biden was president
You may be correct about why Biden isn't on the poll, good catch. I would also agree that many Democrats deep down don't think Biden was a good President, however they seem to be loyal to the Party to a fault in defending him. I have yet to see a Democrat criticizing him, or Harris.
We need to consider that Donald Trump spent 4 years intimidating the Republicans in congress to block every effort to solve, some of the major problems through bipartisan cooperation. He lied to the people about Biden's record and threatened to get subservient candidates to run against honest congressmen and block any progress on Immigration and inflation. He blamed Biden for inflation, but actually the inflation was caused by Trump's unfunded tax cut, and his forcing Oil Companies to raise their prices and increase transportation costs. In addition Trumps surrender to the Taliban, and the irresponsible collapse of the Afgan Government . The U. S. Policy was to never negotiate with terrorists, especially when you do not include the affected country in the negotiations. Now the Pathological LIAR is claiming that he negotiated the Israeli cease fire. He has just been in office for two weeks and the country is in free fall chaos. If The Republic laste for 4 years it will be a miracle. I have not got time to include the illegal hiring of Elon Musk the grandson of a WW2 Third Reich Nazi.
I have yet to see a Republican criticize Trump, how is that any different? If you look at things purely by the numbers Democrats way outnumber Republicans on this site, so the chances of a Democrat saying something negative should be much higher. --More Democrats more posts, both positive and negative. QUOTE="Moon Goddess, post: 9502738, member: 327243"]I have yet to see a Republican criticize Trump, how is that any different?[/QUOTE] Then you have a post like Wally, and others-- The mere mention of Trump brings out the same old tired half-truths and name calling, of course no one's going to say anything bad about their Party when posts like that are frequently made. Yes, Trumps not perfect-far from it. But Biden, and every other President have done a lot wrong as well.
There are very few politicians that I think are decent, worthy people but there is a vast difference between what every other president has done and what trump and Elon are currently doing. At least before we still had a constitution and a country when other presidents left office. Right now our country is in peril and everyone's rights are at risk, so why are you acting like this is just business as usual. They are dismantling every system we have in place to protect our own people, are you ok with that? Do you really want to live in a dictatorship? I don't understand, regardless of your stance on any of the issues or what party you identify with, how anyone can look at what is going on right now and say that it's ok.
The Trump apologists need to stop. It's okay that the law-and-order party elected a 34x felon. It's okay he's ignoring the constitution and gutting the government without congressional approval. It's okay he's started a trade war with our three closest trade partners. It's okay he is using his hate for DEI to weaken an FAA that is already weak from his policies. It's okay he has threatened to annex land by force. It's okay that he is using the government as a tool of retribution against his enemies--real and imagined. It's okay that he has rolled back any protections against LGBTQ+ folks and all but declared war on the trans community. It's okay he wants to ethnically cleanse Gaza. It's okay he failed to end the war in Ukraine. It's okay he hasn't brought down the price of groceries. It's okay he is purging the government of independent referee like watchdogs. It's okay he is threatening war with our long-standing allies. It's okay. All the hate, the bigotry, the withholding of federal funding to non-trump loyalists. It's all okay. And it's all okay because democrats aren't perfect either.
