I have had kids say that to their parents and the parents looked at me and said yes he is and that was it .
Yes it is a little bit awkward especially from the parents. And I have also had positive comments from parents to .
I had to go to Walmart and then Sam’s club and I went in barefoot like always and I had people look at me and I had a guy say wow you must love to go barefoot and I said yes I do I hate wearing shoes and flip flops! And he said wow your feet must be use to the cold and I said yes they are I even walk barefoot in the snow he was amazed !
I went today and got my monthly pedicure and it has been raining here and the rain feels so good on my bare feet and toes. Here’s a couple of pictures of my bare feet.the girl that did my pedicure she was barefoot and she is always barefoot when I get my pedicure I love seeing someone working barefoot.
It was a pleasant day in Ky the temperature was in the low 60’s most of the day. Had an eye doctor appointment, I drove there barefoot but did not go into doctors office barefoot. But, I did visit three new stores barefoot bringing my total to 80 for the year. I am more comfortable and bolder about going barefoot in public, but it still feels odd being the only person barefoot.
Went into a Dollar General store that I have gone into many times barefoot with no issues. Today a “Karen” confronted me and said I couldn’t be in the store barefoot. I asked why and she gave me the standard reasons; health department regulation, store policy posted on door (she lied about sign, no sign on this store or other stores). She then explained because they sold food it was unsanitary for me to be barefoot. I pushed back asking her how my barefeet were unsanitary and her dirty filthy shoes weren’t? She had no answer. I called the stores corporate office and explained that I was embarrassed and offended by this employee. The person said they would send my complaint to the district manager for resolution and he also said he could find nothing in the company’s policy and procedure book addressing customer dress code. I don’t know if their DM will respond or not Speed Way’s DM never did. I am glad to report that I have visited over 80 different stores and businesses barefoot this past year and only had 4 pull the health department can’t be barefoot in here. I have found the vast majority of businesses are tolerant to bare feet, though they might give your weird look.
Most businesses are ok with people being barefoot it’s people that think they know the rules but they don’t.
I got the the response of "we serve food here" once in a Walgreens' drug store I asked how my feet would affect the food being sold there. .again, no answer. It's just a very flimsy excuse. No connections whatsoever. It's very interesting how people still continue to accept that as factual. The food is all packaged and our feet are cleaned by bathing. People rarely wash the bottom of their shoes anyway..Crazy, just crazy.. It was one of those ploys of the 60's to keep "undesirable" people out of stores. Sadly that stuck with society, even today.
Shoes are really dirty but people don’t understand that. And bare feet are cleaner than shoes because you wash your bare feet everyday shoes or never washed.
I went and got my truck oil change and it’s warm today here it’s 55 degrees Fahrenheit here great barefoot weather.
I got to work out at the gym baredoot for a little while. Had someone come over while I was using the leg press barefoot and continued to do so. Slipped on my sneakers but then removed them again while doing any leg execises. No apparent issue. Then when leaving, I saw a guy in the free weights area who was barefoot with no shoes in sight. Now, I'm hoping that's a green light for me to lose the shoes for the entire session.
Well we just got hammered with a winter storm in Ky snow, ice and cold 26F today. So for me going outdoors barefoot is very brief just long enough to confirm my feet are not cold hardened. But it was fun I like my barefoot print in the snow. So barefoot all day and night indoors and barefoot in my shoes outdoors.
