I’ve offered no invectives. “Maladaptive deviants” was chosen for its conciseness and accuracy. It is not an invective. It is an accurate assessment. Calling people homophobes and transphobes is clearly meant as a devaluation/insult and is also inaccurate. As I’ve stated in an earlier conversation, we don’t fear them so the notion of a phobia of them is incorrect.

And yes, I’m more than happy to let other readers here decide which of us is trying to be demeaning or insulting. Outside of the little mutual admiration society that the four of you have going on, I have no fear of being perceived of as the insulting one. You four paint quite a picture of yourselves that I suspect miss moon goddess may have made you stop and take stock of for at least a moment.

It is an accurate description of them as well as many other peoples that the left have nurtured into grievance. But that is all it is: a description. It “inflicts” my choices on no one.

That might work if they were not trackable psychological conditions listed, some as psychopathic, none as stable.
You want to insult everybody that is not messed up any way you want to and then have a big fit when somebody fits the dictionary definition or try to deny the literal meaning of a "coo gang name"

Actually, I have had many things I wanted to say to you and others that agree with you as well but honestly, you are much more extreme in the way you talk than meagain has ever been and it makes me hesitant for back lash that I don't have the energy to defend. The way you talk about others, is abhorrent and you seem to think that you are better than everyone else. I really just want everyone to figure out that we are all being manipulated and lied to so that we end up doing exactly what you all are doing in this thread, attacking each other, hating each other and arguing over whatever each of your particular sides say is the "real" problem. They want us all divided so they can control us. The sooner all of you realize that the better.

@MeAgain , I want to apologize, I never meant to single you out, I was just feeling particularly attacked by you that day but I never wanted you to just stop talking. I want everyone to begin having respectful discourse so we can begin to heal this massive rift in our society.

I often see people on either side complaining about the exact same things(not everything mind you). But everyone is so busy pointing fingers at each other that they fail to see where it all really stems from. Please, please, open your eyes, be objective and communicate in a more neutral way to allow an exchange of thoughts and potential solutions that aren't just blaming each other.

 

Thanks for sharing. I'm sure your heart is in the right place. I share your concerns about the rift. But I'm afraid "both sidesism" has its limitations. We do need to insist on reasoned arguments and evidence in place of memes, Youtube posts, and whatever we might call the playground antics of Bocci & Co. I think it's best at this point just to let folks experience the Brave New World we're entering for themselves, and draw their own conclusions. It will soon be clear.

 

Yes I understand. War is Peace, Freedom is Slavery, Ignorance is Strength, and Big Brother is Watching Us. Repeat those lies over often enough and I'm sure some suckers will believe them. Thank you. I enjoy hearing your perspective and, more so, I like the way you express it. Very genuine and thoughtful and idealistic. I wish I could share your perspective. I think my time and experience is just too different from yours so that almost all of my idealism is gone. I recall having it though and it’s enjoyable to see it in others.
