Will Trump hush money case get tossed? Juan Merchan to decide – NBC New York

    excerpt:

"The Manhattan district attorney's office says the judge in President-elect Donald Trump's hush money case can hold off on sentencing pending the resolution of other legal challenges, though they oppose any effort to toss the conviction, according to court papers filed Tuesday.

New York Judge Juan M. Merchan, who presided over Trump's historic trial, had been scheduled to decide last week whether to toss out the jury verdict and order a new trial — or even dismiss the charges altogether. The judge's ruling was also expected to speak to whether the former and now future commander-in-chief would be sentenced as scheduled Nov. 26. Both the prosecution and defense had asked him for more time. Merchan gave them a week."

JD Vance vice presidency attacked in home newspaper: "List of horrors"

    excerpt:

"Even setting aside the ludicrous stuff about people eating other peoples' pets, he did only harm. For example, he raised legal issues about the presence of the Haitians where no such issues really existed. He was an ogre, apparently for purposes of political advantage," Gottlieb wrote.

Gottlieb contrasted the Vance seen on the campaign trail this year to the Vance who wrote his bestselling memoir Hillbilly Elegy, published in 2016, in which he thoughtfully addressed the struggles facing Appalachian communities.

"Those were the days when he was using the word 'Hitler' in categorizing Donald Trump," Gottlieb wrote.

Turns out America elected Elon Musk, too

    excerpt:

"Money and politics have always been connected. But we've never seen anything like this.

American voters re-elected Donald Trump this month. At the moment, it also looks like they've elected Elon Musk.

That's because the world's richest man, having endorsed Trump, campaigned for him, and pumped a reported $200 million into Trump's campaign, now seems to be acting like a shadow president."

Turns out America elected Elon Musk, too

    excerpt:

"He likes this place. I can't get him out of here. He just likes the place," Trump joked in a speech Thursday night. "And you know what, I like having him here too. He's good. He's done a fantastic job."

Trump may not be sentenced until after January 2029.

In the meantime, Trump while serving as president could appeal the conviction and try to have it dismissed.

If Trump turns out to be sentenced after leaving office in January 2029, it will have been nearly five years after he was convicted.

Gasoline prices have risen slightly the past few days to above $3 per gallon.

When they dropped to below $3 just after the election, Trump supporters attributed it to Trump's reelection and said that it meant that they could sleep again.

Now that the price has gone up slightly0, they will attribute it to Biden.

Trump is nominating two unqualified people to handle an annual $2.4 trillion of spending.

Oz being a physician doesn't make him qualified to handle a yearly $1.6 trillion Medicare and Medicaid spending by the government.

Hegseth being a former platoon leader in the army doesn't make him qualified to run the entire Pentagon whose annual budget is about $800 billion.

IMO, he will not pay any debts, he will not be incarcerated, but he WILL set out to completely change the world order. Bad will become worse and worse will become worst. He may surprise us---but I doubt it.
