Lack of artillery ammo, and Western allies not delivering on their promises forces Ukraine to rely more on FPV drones, but these are no substitute for the real thing. Still, it's not a complete waste: "If Ukraine keeps attriting at this rate and Russia keeps sending in more tanks to replace the destroyed ones at the rate it has been, the Kremlin could lose its numerical edge in tanks, which could make it more difficult for the Russians to carry out offensive operations in the future."

It looks like Ukraine's second largest city, Kharkiv is about to fall to the Russians thanks to the Repugnants.

Also Russians completely destroyed Kiev's largest power plant. It was the equivalent of 2 nuclear power plants. 1.8 GW.

    FUCKING Ass Repugnant Republicans!!!

Regarding Kharkiv, ruϟϟian troops, based on currently available maps, are yet to reach that far, but their efforts to turn the city into an unlivable mess is certainly them making preparations and paving the way for an eventual, attempted takeover in the future. Kharkiv is a whole 'nother ball game, though. It's a big city with a million+ residents. A much bigger job trying to take over something of that size, and they already failed at this before in 2022. Right now ruϟϟia has only managed to take over small villages of less than 1,000 people with no real defenses. All at a cost of hundreds of their own troops per week. Just imagine what the price of taking Kharkiv is gonna be like.

I think this is an overstatement. Kharkiv is definitely in trouble, it doesn't have enough air defense and it's getting pummeled by drones, missiles, and glide bombs. However, it's still about 29 kilometers from Russian lines and its supply lines are still intact. One could see Kharkiv falling in the coming months, but it's not yet on the verge of falling.

The Republicans... I think many, close to half would support the Ukraine aid bill if it were brought to vote. The "Putin Wing" of the Republican party seems to be principally responsible. Trump's opposition, and in particular MTG's threat to oust Johnson if he brings the bill to a vote, seem to be the biggest problems. I think you could reasonably accuse the Republicans who support aid to Ukraine of being cowards, unwilling to sign a discharge petition for fear of angering Trump.

Oh gee, one patriot system from Germany. Lotta good that'll do. Zelensky said they need at least a dozen more.

And the F16s are nearly useless now. Russia will knock them down with hypersonic missiles plus jamming.

It's sad indeed. But the F-16s could still prove useful. Israel just now, over the weekend, demonstrated that with the right armaments, they could be a major asset in air defense, shooting down the enemy's missiles and drones.

And again with the fucking gas prices? It seems that the Americans, when it's all said and done, are a bunch of useless, whining, self-serving pieces of shit as allies.

"When Vice President Harris met privately with Volodymyr Zelensky at the Munich Security Conference in February, she told the Ukrainian leader something he didn’t want to hear: Refrain from attacking Russian oil refineries, a tactic U.S. officials believed would raise global energy prices and invite more aggressive Russian retaliation inside Ukraine. Zelensky brushed off the recommendation, uncertain whether it reflected the consensus position of the Biden administration, these people said. But in subsequent weeks, Washington reinforced the warning in multiple conversations with Kyiv, including by national security adviser Jake Sullivan, who traveled to Ukraine’s capital in March, and other senior U.S. defense and intelligence officials."

Just fucking outrageous, taking the bully's side like this.

As Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) has held many strange views in her life, her findings on Ukraine should come as no surprise:

“So here’s the part that really should bother everyone out in the country,” Greene said. “There is some kind of sick mental illness in this townan obsessionit is an extreme obsession with funding Ukraine. The more you look at it, it makes no sense whatsoever. Ukraine is not a NATO member nation. They are not our ally that we are contractually bound to protect them. And, Russia is beating them. There is no way for Ukraine to win. Everybody knows that — pro-Ukraine or against the funding for it. Everyone knows Russia is winning. Funding that war is continuing to murder people. That’s it. It’s all it does. It’s killing more and more.”

Greene also said that nobody in Washington is talking about peace in Ukraine, and desperately wants the war and the killing to continue.

You can fund the war and kill hundreds of thousands of more young Ukrainian men and wipe out that generation and leave children fatherless and have no workers and have widows and mourning parents,” Greene said. “That’s really the truth of that war. I can’t comprehend why the one thing that never gets talked about and I demanded to know at our conference meeting on Monday night is why doesn’t anyone ever talk about peace for this country or a peace deal? It makes me literally sick to my stomach. It’s so evil. No one could answer me. Isn’t that crazy though? Even if I got off the phone with you and marched my way down to the House floor and got recognized and called up that motion to vacate, I’m telling you the obsession and the sickness in Washington, DC, for funding for Ukraine would override any of my actions. They will pass it no matter what.

I urge US citizens to contact their representatives in the House and request that:

1 They support aid to Ukraine

2 If Speaker Johnson does the right thing with regard to Ukraine aid (eg, he brings a reasonable bill to the House floor for a vote), he should be supported by both Republicans and Democrats against attempts to oust him by Marjorie Taylor Greene and other members of the Putin wing of the Republican Party

3 Tiktok should be shielded against malicious influence, in particular the mailicious influence of the Chinese Communist Party which has used the platform to manipulate political content, spy on journalists, and promote Russia's war in Ukraine

This link will help you find contact information for your representative in the House:

Only Putin and his cronies in the Kremlin and US Congress believe Russia is winning.

Ukraine just hit a Russian air base in Crimea last night. Destroyed another S400 anti missile system, probably a dozen or dozens of helicopters that were based there. And guess what? The Russians stored their Zircon hypersonic missiles right next to that S400 unit. I read that 5 hours later the base was still on fire and secondary explosions were still on going.

Reports say there was no warning before they hit with long range ballistic missiles, possibly US supplied ATACMS.

It should be noted that Marjorie Taylor Greene has publicly endorsed the view that California's wildfires were started by a space-based laser, controlled by the Jews. A member of the House of Representatives that believes that the movie Space Balls was a documentary is unfit for office.

When Russia invaded Crimea, people said, "let him have Crimea, then he'll be satisfied". Then he invaded the Donbas, and people said, "let him have the Donbas, then he'll be satisfied". Then he tried to take all of Ukraine, but was thrown back, and now people imagine that he'll be satisfied with just the parts of Ukraine he's taken so far? He's already made public remarks indicating his desire to reestablish control over the countries of the former Soviet Empire, there's every reason to think he's going to continue invading countries until someone stops him.

Not defeating Putin is what is going to allow war to continue.

If he conquers and absorbs all of Ukraine, he'll be in a much stronger position to threaten NATO countries. Because of that, the US would be forced to choose between defending Europe from Putin and defending Taiwan from Xi. A Putin victory would likely mean another, and much bigger war to follow.

Beyond this, if Putin wins, the credibility of the US, NATO, and international law is completely shot. This means we should expect massive nuclear proliferation, since every country in the world will realize that they have to have nukes in order to defend themselves.

Not fighting against Putin also rewards his attacks on our elections and the ongoing disinformation and propaganda campaigns being waged by Putin. The fact MTG is regurgitating Kremlin talking points verbatim is only an indication of how deeply the Kremlin has penetrated US elections, policy making, and public opinion, and of how dire the situation has become.

Ukraine can win, we just have to give them the support they need to do it.
