Trump's chance of winning that one are near zero, even lower than his questionable claim that he has presidential immunity after being out of office for actions he committed while in office (which he has lost multiple times already both while in and out of office). Impeachment is a political process, not a criminal court process. It's been generally accepted that a president be impeached first and removed from office so that he can be indicted later and put through the criminal justice process after leaving office. Even that tradition is questionable and hasn't been rigorously tested in court. The fact that a president wasn't removed from office during an impeachment doesn't mean that he's immune from criminal charges forever for acts he committed during his presidency.
The U.S. Supreme Court has an opportunity to hear and rule on both of Trump's claims. It could reject the case and let the DC Appeals Court continue with it, only to be faced with it later in 2024 (after the losing party at the Appeals Court appeals it to the Supreme Court), possibly during the heat of the autumn campaigning and having to rule close to the 2024 November election date. It could reject hearing about it indefinitely, which would make an upcoming DC Appeal Court review of the case the final one. It could take the case as early as possible and rule by about early to mid-summer before its term ends, leaving Smith time to conduct the trial before the 2024 election, assuming it rules in favor of Smith. If it rules in favor of Trump, he is immune from such criminal cases indefinitely and so are future presidents for behaviors like those of Trump.
Why young voters are bailing on Biden and considering giving Trump another chance. . Young voters explain why they’re bailing on Biden — and whether they’d come back excerpt: "Voters cited a number of policy areas that disappointed them, including insufficient moves to address climate change and Biden’s inability to fully cancel student loan debt or codify Roe v. Wade, as the president deals with a closely divided Congress. However, Biden’s response to the Israel-Hamas war may be having the greatest effect on his relationship with this voter bloc. The NBC News national poll, conducted more than a month after the start of the Israel-Hamas war, shows 70% of voters under 35 disapproving of Biden’s handling of the war."
Polls the last few decades have shown that voters tend to have made up their minds by the summertime before the November election. Few presidential candidates have been able to overcome a significant loss margin seen during summer, Trump being the most recent example in 2020. That time is about 6 to 7 months away, which isn't much for Trump and Biden to alter their image Some grievance issues like inflation and Covid have been subsiding. Others, like the wars in Ukraine and Israel likely won't be gone in 6 months. Interest rates are expected drop but not greatly in the next 6 months. Wild cards in the 2024 election include Trump's four criminal trials expected in 2024. A good scenario for him is if he can delay them until after the election or be acquitted in at least one of them before the election. Other uncertainties include significant health ailments occurring in the elderly Trump and Biden and new conflicts and crises arising around the world.

Have you seen this? Trump Sells NFT Trading Cards With Bits of His Mugshot Suit (nymag.com) My God, help us! This reminds me of huckster evangelists working their loyal viewers. I used to have a client that I visited on a monthly basis to help with her bills etc. Each time I went she had the Trinity Network on her TV, and she had me write checks to certain evangelical TV hucksters. She had her "diamond" encrusted Jesus pin and she ordered a prayer cloth from one of them. I tried to caution her, but she wouldn't hear of it. She would send her last dollar to these hucksters. Now, as I drive through some rural roads nearby, I see similar things - flags with Trump's name stapled to sides of garages or people's homes - and the home is dilapidated, yet they spent money on this crap. It is so sad, so disturbing. so evil... I have wondered if I could find any references in the prophesy networks I used to look at and read - if anyone thinks Trump is the antichrist. Every leader that rises to power is at one point or another called the antichrist, but is he? Is that even a real thing? Will there really be an antichrist? But, the ironic thing I find in this is how the evangelical community has embraced this man as their icon, worthy almost of worship, and the ideals that Jesus Christ actually promoted are the complete antithesis to this man. To me, it is a judgement from God on this particular brand of Christianity.

Analysis: Trump is putting every racial, ethnic and religious minority at risk at a time of angry political polarization | CNN Politics excerpt: "Rather than the historically loaded analogies from the 1930s, a more likely template for Trump might be an autocrat of the present, like Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, a hero of the “America First” right of whom Trump spoke admiringly over the weekend. Orban is part of the ideological connective tissue that links Trump, Putin and other leaders who espouse White nationalism, authoritarian rule and orthodox Christianity. They erode political and electoral systems to enhance their own power and weaken the press and the courts — institutions that hold their anti-democratic impulses in check. Orban is Putin’s top ally inside the European Union, and is campaigning, like Trump, to shut off Ukraine’s financial and military lifeline to make it helpless against the Russian leader’s unprovoked and brutal invasion, which he has styled as a proxy war against the West."

Trump could have recorded that video as a long-term patient inside a psychiatric ward and half the U.S. would still vote for him to be president.
Giuliani is now saying that he won't stop defaming Ruby Freeman because she wants to make him 'lie' about her not being part of a plot to steal the election from Trump. Giuliani thinks he will be defaming himself if he states the facts that Ruby Freeman didn't steal the election from Trump.
