Trump's criminal problems stem from his volition and with ample knowledge, They weren't situations where he accidentally was caught in another person's schemes.

He didn't have to funnel the money to Stormy Daniels. He chose to do it and initially claimed he didn't know about it.

He could have conceded the 2020 election. He didn't.

Trump didn't have to call Raffensperger and Ducey and pressure them.

He didn't have to let the riot at the Capitol ensue for hours.

He could have returned the government documents. He declined and later said he was too busy.

He didn't have to keep the borrowed Israeli ceramic candles since 2019.

In short, Trump's problems don't stem from him hanging out with the wrong type of people.

Trump IS the wrong type of people.

Hopefully, I do not want to sound too dramatic - but this was chilling, and it is clear to me this country, and possibly the world, is at a turning point - democracy vs autocratic rule -

The QAnon shaman now talks like would like an apology from the judge.

And maybe have the judge pay the shaman for damages for what he did to him (similar to how Trump said he might plea bargain with Jack Smith if Smith awards him damages for prosecuting him, as if it was a civil case and Trump was the plaintiff trying to make a deal with the defendant for a private settlement).

Just want to say, @egger I appreciate all the time and effort you put into reporting here. There is so much that happens every single day that most Americans are completely clueless about - if only more people were as informed as you. It is astounding.!

If the shaman is involved in any more riots, he can expect no mercy from the courts.

If Chansley somehow had his trial-conviction thrown out, he could potentially be tried again. He could receive a stiffer sentence, especially considering how he retracted his apology for rioting at the Capitol and said he thinks he didn't do anything wrong.
