Trump praises Cannon in an attempt to win her favor. A court session with Cannon is scheduled for tomorrow in the documents case. Trump praises judge overseeing his classified documents case, saying she ‘loves our country’
The law in the U.S. isn't based on Trump's appeal to buzzwords like 'smart', 'strong', 'love', and 'courage' that he thinks should be administered onto the country via a stilted judicial activism in a way that favors him. Judges are obligated to adjudicate the law properly.. In autumn of 2022, Judge Cannon showed high favor to Trump instead of properly adjudicating the documents case. She was overruled twice by the 11th Circuit and received a lengthy scolding. Currently unknown is whether the legal spanking she received has loosened Trump's grip on her mind. If she steps out of line from Trump, his current praise of her will likely turn into a scathing criticism, similar to what he did to Bill Barr for supposedly being weak and Pence for not having courage when they upheld the law by refusing to overturn the election for him.

How dare Emperor Orange be mentioned in the same article as FDR. Isn't this how Hitler started around 1939? Like when he had all the radios retrofitted to only tune to German radio stations.....
In addition, Trump has already said that in a second term he will use the DOJ to go after people and groups he doesn't like instead of it holding him accountable. He also has the option of pardoning himself should he be reelected. He has effectively absorbed the legislative branch by psychologically conditioning the GOP Senate so that it's unlikely to cast enough votes to convict him of an impeachment no matter how corrupt he behaves. Normally, a president would be first run out of office by Congress and subsequently prosecuted by the justice system. Consolidation of power is the goal of dictators. Putin did it in Russia, Orban did it in Hungary. Trump admires them for it, referring to them as smart and strong.
By Trump's metric, 'smart' and 'strong' mean the ability to form a dictatorship, not a democracy. 'Courage' is the willingness of your VP to violate the law and overthrow a legitimate election. 'She loves our country' refers to a judge who gives Trump what he wants during a criminal prosecution by the DOJ (in other words, she loves Trump).
Another Giulani crackpot event. In addition to his passing gas during a MI hearing alongside stolen election 'star witness' Mellissa Carone, he's known for the infamous press gathering at the Four Seasons Landscaping company company instead of the intended Four Seasons luxury hotel. This has been a common thread to Trump's dozens of losses from local courts to the U.S. Supreme Court, from his 'stolen election' cases to the DOJ's government documents case against him: Lack of evidence by Trump to justify intervention and relief. Giuliani, who's now fighting to not have his law license in NY and DC revoked, said himself in late 2020 that he had a lot of stolen election conspiracy narratives but no evidence. Mike Lindell, who admitted recently that his business has lost $100 million which he blames on 'woke', who is currently defending himself from defamation lawsuits by Dominion and Smartmatic. He said the U.S. Supreme Court would reinstate Trump, couldn't produce evidence for Trump, and eventually said it's now in God's hands. Trump received a couple breaks in autumn 2022 from Judge Aileen Cannon in the documents case. Those were overruled by the 11th Circuit and included a judge writing a lengthy, scathing rebuke of Cannon.
Cannon will eventually have to respond to Trump's request to delay the DOJ's documents criminal trial indefinitely. Trump wants it delayed until at least after November 2024. The DOJ wants the trial in December 2023. Judge Aileen Cannon said she wanted it in August 2023.
