Yah ain't no way my queer ass is gonna count the dems out because of the injustices they've committed, they're the only ones protecting my rights. Doesn't mean I won't call them out on them, but there's no way that I'm about to live in a Trumpian nightmare fascist state. It's one party or the other, unfortunately. No way around it.

Protecting? They're more than protecting your rights... They're pandering to them (from their previous positions), and actively pushing an LGBTQ agenda. All the problems in the country and the world, this is one of the most important issues to them. I disagree. But just sharing my opinion on Biden, not on Dems as a whole.

Because there is one side that wants to eliminate any trace of queerness from our culture, and one side that allows us to exist. Ain't nobody bending over backwards for us, that includes Biden.

 

I'm trying to figure out how people being gay affects my life. THEY FUCKING DON'T!! People just have to shove their noses in other peoples business. At my age , I've come to realize about 30 to 40 % of the humans on earth are SHITHEADS.

It's sad that many people live in a world of absolutes, when generally speaking humans aren't absolute about much of anything. I think it's called stereotyping. I never said one party is the same as the other. I more believe their intent is to divide, where we generally all have more in common than these absolute worlds politics tries to box us in to.

 

Absolutes are more important right NOW, than ever. There are some big, BIG choices to make in this era of Donald J. Trump. IMO, the voters of this country need to ABSOLUTELY reject him , his cult members and ALL republican sycophants.

 

My apologies, this is an opinion forum on Biden, and I may have gotten off track. I think I understand the definition of agenda, and the importance that the Biden administration has placed on the LBGQT community.. I believe he's issued a couple of EO's in support of his agenda. I don't think I've heard of anyone trying to eliminate queerness, but this all opinion and perspective. Thank you for letting me understand what is important to you and your perspective. I was more commenting on my opinion that I don't agree with it's priority... but that's just based on my perspective. Peace!

 

I think Trump & Biden are equally bad, and I'm optimistic of another choice. I've continued to vote the other choice in protest of the candidates offered. I don't believe in absolutes and believe they're a slippery slope.

 

Who would you rather have in charge of the affairs of the United States? Trump or Biden? I hope / wish the dems could / would find a better choice, but it doesn't seem to shaping up that way.

They're equally shit to me scratcho. I'm sorry to say. I've grown into a Libertarian, conservative leaning Moderate... I wouldn't go as far as being a curmudgeon... as I try and embrace sufferings, but I believe as a country we can do so much better than these two train wrecks. I haven't lost hope, but after serving my country for my entire adult life (and continue to serve), I've come to embrace limited government. I'm slightly too young to qualify as an actual hippie; But - Fuck the man!

 

Well. that's the good thing about our country---we can disagree and also not be thrown in jail or worse for words. We are on opposite sides of the political spectrum, however , we can carry on a polite conversation, it seems. Not always the case these days.

 

Well said. I have real concerns that free speech is threatened by our current political environment. If I consider myself a moderate, and your on the opposite side of the spectrum, would you consider yourself extreme? Seeking understanding.. as I see alot of reference to extremism in this thread. All or nothing thinking..etc. There are extreme views on both sides of the spectrum of course, and I've literally served to defend those rights to each POV.

Sorry to hear you're not a believer in moral relativism... I sort of linked it to tolerance (but maybe you only tolerate those who have the same beliefs as you?) As a Muslim, or Christian or *insert any opposition* in this country their positions are just as important as yours my friend. Thank you for your service, you proud social justice warrior. Please teach me how to "right think" ... because we're apparently getting into the realm of cultural revolution and you're ready to "fight" ... for what again? Laws that are unenforceable?
