Im sorry but I have never heard of such a thing nor have I seen any evidence what so ever that is true, sounds like a made up story, affidavits work very well to prove up the story, got any?

No example beats 2020, where despite all those covid deaths, the total mortality in the UK was lower than in 2017.
I do not entirely blame the media, since without medical training, they did not know that the current virus is involved in 95% of ALL deaths. Both they and many doctors did not differentiate the primary cause.
In a nutshell, in most of the 800 daily covid deaths, it took the world health authority to point out that statistically these people died twice.
Needless to say, the government have gone very sheepish on this one. However, I do not blame them, because they could not be expected to understand virology. They were all just as scared as the public.
