Trump's associates have generally lost in their attempts to shield themselves from testifying about Trump.

Giuliani and Corcoran have tried attorney-client privilege and lost.

Graham tried Speech And Debate Clause and lost all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court.

Pence has also invoked the Speech And Debate Clause to protect himself and Trump (who he says history will hold accountable instead of the law for the Jan. 6 insurrection).

Mark Meadows is an exception. The DOJ decided to not pursue him further, at least temporarily, although Meadows did voluntarily provide emails and other information before he chose to no longer cooperate.

Trump keeps making the same remark that he got more votes in the 2020 presidential election in FL than DeSantis did in the FL governor election in the 2022 midterm election.

About 77% of FL voters took part in the 2020 election compared to only about 60% in the FL 2022 midterm election.

That's a factor of 1.28 (77/60=1.28).

Multiplying the 4.6 million FL votes DeSantis received in 2022 by 1.28 gives him an effective 5,9 million votes (had as many people in FL voted in 2022 as they did in 2020).

5.9 million is higher than the 5.7 million FL votes Trump received in 2020.

Trump actually did worse than DeSantis when adjusting for voter turnout in 2022 compared to 2020.
