    While you’re right the cold weather does cut back on the insect population, there are some species that are extremely adaptable such as the Deer tick which locally spreads Lyme Disease, named after Old Lyme Connecticut where the disease was first discovered.

    It could be hiding under the pile of leaves or in the wood pile where it can keep warm enough to survive even a brutal winter.

    They have no teeth and eat the tiny bits floating in the water. Vegetarians they are... :)

    Today in La Paz we have the same boring sunshine and warm temperatures.

    But perfect for some winter gardening in the granja. The aloe vera is looking happy after being potted. I'll take pics later when the sun hit the garden spot.
