"Honey, I know what we're doing the next time we visit your Mother!" (Granted something tells me it wouldn't be her first time :D)

Amazon drives me nuts at times, I was all set to hit "proceed to checkout" when I realized stock had dwindled on the 6 grow lights I was about to order for the new space(s) (6 veg, 3 flower)
Well I guess 1 more for now beats none for now

Here's some photos of marijuana plants in the 1920s and 30s.

    Wake and Bake...

Just did a few bong hits of Panther...

Rolled a joint for later. (Panther, Sunny Diesel, Oregon White CBG, with some D8 and THCv distilate added)

By the way... That Panther 20% THCa is one of the best buds I've ever smoked. From looks, smell, taste, effects... all spot on.

Today is 10/20, half a year away from 4/20. So by my logic, today is 420 1/2. Today at 10:20 everyone must take a big toke. My logic may be askew, but WTF, do it anyway. :yum:

I tried looking up Panther on Leafly, only found Sex Panther and S3X Panther. Is there more to the name than that?

Nope, That's all they are calling it. Not sure how it relates genetically.

It's a great sativa high, though. Whatever it is.

Speaking of which... I just ordered some more, before it's gone. They just did another drop and that may be the last of it. (This may all end in January 2023 anyways... DEA is going to require samples to be decarbed before testing which converts the THCa to D9 THC and these same buds would then be illegal again... So much for loopholes.)

Not having been a part of the whole "strain" thing, I'm at an immediate disadvantage when looking for what I need vs what I don't want. (What I don't want is couch lock...) A different vendor made a drop yesterday of about 6-7 strains with all these weird names that I'm supposed to know how they hit before buying... It was all sold out before I even had a chance at deciphering genetics.

That being said, when you do find stuff that does the job well for you step 1 is going to be making a study of its terpene profile and comparing it to others you like, the same with what gives you couch lock, so you'll know which terpenes get you rolling and which put it in park.
Strain names are sadly little more than a word salad dreamed up by a breeder putting no more effort in nomenclature than is used when naming candy bars.
I mean sure you can find some breeders that try keeping lineage straight BUT sadly seems to be in the minority.

But for the sake some might know those new strains, can you c&p the list over here?

The "list" is a constantly evolving group of strains sold by a handful of vendors and the product sells out almost immediately thanks to a reddit subgroup... Sometimes they will restock the same strain, but it will be a different grow, so slightly different. This Panther I bought today was a second drop from the same vendor... Probably a slightly later harvest from the same grower. (maybe)

Sometimes the reviews can clue me in as to sativa/indica leanings... usually the vendor relies on the buyer already knowing everything posted on leafy... Saying it's a cross between "such and such" and "whatever" means nothing to me.

As I said, I've missed that whole "strain" thing that everybody else was involved with over the last 10+ years. I'm supposed to automatically know that "diesel" or "kush" or some other genetic is going to be a wake up or a knock out. I have no clue, it's all a foreign language to me.

And.... I'm not going to spend the next 10 months studying what's on leafy... I've never even been to that site.

zoap... garbage plate... animal cookies... ?

This will probably sell out before I can figure out what might be what...

Leafly is a good site to find out what great deals are available in your area. It doesn't help if you're not in a state where pot is legal.

Not legal here, so that wouldn't apply.

Hippie Crippler High THCa Hemp Flower

Miracle Alien Cookies High THCa Hemp Flower

    These people are strange...

Anyways. I have these two strains and some Panther on the way. I should be set for awhile.

I was looking at another vendor that was doing a drop today, then found out a different vendor just did a restock. The first vendor's website went down. The second site won out. Oh well.

I was on vacation last week. It was nice to smoke on the beach and the roof top of the place we stayed at :)
