I’m very thankful for this thread. This has helped keep me dialed in to what the hell is going on. I’m surprised at the number of folks that are totally clueless about any of this stuff, most of them being Trumpers themselves. Some are friends I’ve known for a very long time, others are people I’ve had random contact with in passing, that have decided to talk politics. I shake my head at them, laugh, and tell them what they absolutely don’t want to hear, which is everything against Trump. Freaks!!
As former president, Trump contends the oil reserves were empty for decades and he filled them. No, Former President Trump Did Not Fill The Strategic Petroleum Reserve
After his partner Putin invaded Ukraine in 2022, Trump claimed that he had made NATO great again during his administration after disparaging it for years and even talking about the U.S. leaving NATO.
Trump made a similar falsehood about Covid. He claimed Obama left the cupboards bare for him. Did Trump Inherit a 'Depleted' Stockpile of Ventilators From Obama?
Did Trump Inherit a 'Depleted' Stockpile of Ventilators From Obama? excerpt: The discrepancy continued well into 2020. Some references: On April 19, Trump referred to the U.S. as the “King of Ventilators,” yet continued to attempt to deflect blame for the nationwide shortage of breathing machines: In a May 6 tweet, Trump said that ventilators in the SNS were “few & in bad shape.” During an interview with Fox Business on May 14, Trump said that when his administration took over, it “didn’t have ventilators” and that “nobody knew what a ventilator was.” The following day, during a vaccine roundtable at the White House Rose Garden, the president reiterated to attendees, “if you remember where we started, we had no ventilators.” Then again, during a jobs report meeting on June 5, Trump again said that his administration “didn’t have ventilators” when it took office, adding that the “cupboards were empty. The previous administration left us empty cupboards.”
Another problem is Mitch McConnell not permitting the Senate floor to vote on Obama's federal judge appointments and not allowing a vote on Supreme Court nominee Merrick Garland. After Trump became president, he said it was Obama's decision to leave him all those vacancies.
For McConnell and the GOP, nine months before a presidential election was supposedly too close to allow a vote on a Supreme Court nominee during the Obama administration. Yet a few weeks before an election was not too close for the GOP-controlled Senate to vote on Amy Coney Barrett to replace Ginsberg during the Trump administration.

A theme song and a finger to the sky. QAnon song plays and MAGA supporters give unusual finger salute as Trump speaks at JD Vance rally in Ohio, video shows
The 'finger to the sky' craze in the U.S. became popular in the NBA when making a long shot. Years later, baseball players finally caught on and did it incessantly during games for even the most trifle of incidents, such as making it to first base. They're still doing it about 15 years later. NBA players have finally moved on to another gimmick: pounding their chest (followed by pointing to the sky).

Trump brags about 'sold out' Ohio rally - but arena is two-thirds full just before he takes stage | Daily Mail Online excerpt: Trump said he's campaigning in Ohio because he was asked to do so by JD Vance, who he endorsed for US Senate against Democrat Rep. Tim Ryan The former president boasted about the 'massive crowd,' but the stadium was uncharacteristically thin right up until the time when Trump took the stage Vance told the crowd: 'We need to get back to the policies of the real Donald Trump, not fake Tim Ryan pretending he's someone he's not' While the crowd does not fill the entire 7,000-seat Covelli Centre, the Trump supporters who made it to Youngstown on Saturday were wildly excited Ohio is home to more Trump-endorsed federal and gubernatorial candidates than any other state except for Texas
