One of the comments on Youtube to that is "She probably doesn't care she's risking national security." Oh, she will....when they have her removed from the bench, re-file charges, and possibly arrest her as a co-conspirator. What Trump did is blatant, and if some judge he hand picked (who has a conflict of interest right there!) helps him get off, then they need to go down with him.

Remember, trump once said that if he ran for president he would run as a republican. Something to the effect that it would be easier to fool republicans.

Republicans especially those on the far-right are easily manipulated because they're already predisposed into believing the irrational.

It doesn't take much to convince people who are already paranoid and xenophobic that the sky is falling

Judge throws out Tina Peters recount challenge

    excerpt:

"A judge on Tuesday threw out a lawsuit challenging a primary election recount lost by an indicted Colorado county clerk who alleged voting fraud in her failed bid to become the state's top election official.

Mesa County Clerk Tina Peters filed a lawsuit objecting to the methods used to recount ballots on Aug. 3 but did not ask for the recount to be stopped until the following day, after the recount was completed and several hours after the recount results had been certified by Colorado Secretary of State Jena Griswold. Judge Andrew P. McCallin ruled that election law only gives him the authority to consider recount challenges while a recount is underway and his jurisdiction stops once it is over and is certified."

Judge throws out Trump's lawsuit against Hillary and DNC that are part of his panoramic RICO suit.

Trump's claims about various other targets in the suit have already been thrown out.

You're half correct. The criminal charges are not at the federal level, but they are at the state level (Colorado v. Peters). As in most of the US, in Colorado, the criminal justice system under state law is administered through county-wide court systems. If you are indicted following a county grand jury proceeding, your case will be prosecuted by a district attorney elected by the voters of your county, but he or she acts on behalf of the people of the state, as does the judge who will preside at trial. Similarly, if the defendant requests a trial by jury, the jury will be chosen from among county's adult residents, but the prosecution is at the state level (the only practicable and constitutional way to administer state criminal law).

In Colorado, as in most states, the attorney general of the state has a very limited role under state criminal law, and almost no prosecutorial authority. The office of the attorney general is involved almost entirely in civil and administrative law, not criminal law.
