Details about the signature audit that was conducted in Cobb County Georgia. Only two problem ballots were found.

Cobb County was selected because there was some evidence that fraud may have occurred.

This wasn't enough for Trump. He wanted an extensive, retrospective audit of the same group of people's signatures in Fulton Country, which contains Atlanta, spanning years.

3rd Strike Against Voter Fraud Claims Means They're Out After Signature Audit Finds No Fraud | Georgia Secretary of State

    excerpt:

"On December 14, 2020, Secretary Raffensperger announced a signature match audit in Cobb County following credible allegations that the process was not followed in the June primaries. The Secretary of State’s Office partnered with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) to conduct the audit. Of the 150,431 absentee ballots received by Cobb County elections officials during the November elections, the audit “reviewed 15,118 ABM ballot oath envelopes from randomly selected boxes,” or around 10% of the total. The sample size was originally chosen to meet the 99% confidence threshold.

The audit found “no fraudulent absentee ballots” with a 99% confidence threshold. The audit found that only two ballots should have been identified by Cobb County Elections Officials for cure notification that weren’t. In one case, the ballot was “mistakenly signed by the elector’s spouse,” and in the other, the voter “reported signing the front of the envelope only.” In both cases, the identified voters filled out the ballots themselves."

Tina Peters wants to be secretary of state of CO.

    https://www.courthousenews.com/gop-race-for-colorado-elections-head-features-indicted-clerk/

    excerpt:

"DENVER (AP) — Republicans in Colorado will decide Tuesday whether to nominate — as their candidate for the state’s top election official — a county elections clerk who is under indictment for a security breach spurred by conspiracy theories related to the 2020 presidential election.

Mesa County Clerk Tina Peters announced plans earlier this year to run for the Republican nomination for secretary of state on the podcast of former President Donald Trump’s adviser, Steve Bannon. In recent months, she has been issuing various reports — discredited by officials and experts — that claim vulnerabilities in voting equipment used widely in Colorado and across the country.

Also running in the Republican primary is Pam Anderson, a former county clerk who previously led the state clerks’ association, and businessman Mike O’Donnell. The current secretary of state, Jena Griswold, is running unopposed in the Democratic primary."

I don’t think the secret service would do anything against Pence’s wishes or safety

A Secret Service agent is supposed to protect the president from others, not protect himself from the president.

In Pence's mind, it could have been a diversion orchestrated by Trump to temporarily keep Pence away from the Capitol.

Considering the events that were taking place the day of the riot and the behavior of Trump, Pence had to be suspicious of everything.

Trump says he hardly knew Hutchinson.

'This is a bombshell': Trump aides left speechless by Hutchinson testimony | CNN Politics

    excerpt:

"“When she requested to go with certain others of my team to Florida after my having served a full term in office, I personally turned her request down,” Trump said on Truth Social during Hutchinson’s live testimony.

Trump attempted to cast Hutchinson’s testimony on Tuesday as revenge, claiming she was “very upset and angry that I didn’t want her” at his Palm Beach residence.

The former President’s attempt to distance himself from Hutchinson, whom he described as “bad news” on Tuesday, came after the committee showed renderings of the West Wing to demonstrate just how close she was to the Oval Office as an assistant to Meadows. Multiple former White House aides also publicly vouched for Hutchinson’s proximity to Trump and his chief of staff before and during her appearance on Tuesday.

“Anyone downplaying Cassidy Hutchinson’s role or her access in the West Wing either doesn’t understand how the Trump [White House] worked or is attempting to discredit her because they’re scared of how damning this testimony is,” former White House deputy press secretary Sarah Matthews tweeted."

Trump's legal exposure may be growing – and 4 other takeaways from the Jan. 6 hearing

    excerpt:

"Trump had a penchant for throwing dishes. Hutchinson recalled going into the presidential dining room on Dec. 1, 2020, after Bill Barr had said in an interview that there was no evidence of widespread fraud in the election.

Hutchinson found ketchup dripping from the wall and a shattered plate on the ground. The president was "extremely angry" with Barr's interview. Trump, Hutchinson said, had thrown his lunch against the wall. Hutchinson grabbed a towel and helped staff clean the wall.

Hutchinson said there were "several times" throughout her tenure with Meadows, when Trump threw dishes and flipped the tablecloth in the dining room so contents of the table broke or went everywhere."

Trump's legal exposure may be growing – and 4 other takeaways from the Jan. 6 hearing

    excerpt:

"With Trump pushing hard to be allowed to go to the Capitol with his supporters, as many White House aides testified, Cippolone was concerned that he and others at the White House could be charged with crimes if Trump did go.

His message to Hutchinson and Meadows when it came to Trump wanting to go to the Capitol: make sure it doesn't happen.

"We are going to get charged with every crime imaginable if that happens," Cippolone said, per Hutchinson.

She noted that Cippolone said it would look like Trump was inciting a riot and there could be charges related to obstruction of Congress and conspiracy to defraud the United States because of blocking the counting of electoral votes.

The committee also revealed on Tuesday that the potential crimes committed weren't just in the past. Toward the end of the hearing, Vice Chair Liz Cheney, R-Wyo., warned of potential witness tampering."

Trump's legal exposure may be growing – and 4 other takeaways from the Jan. 6 hearing

    excerpt:

"A CBS/YouGov poll conducted last week found that while almost seven in 10 Democrats are following the hearings some or a lot, just a quarter of Republicans are and less than half of independents.

Overall, half of respondents said they think Trump was trying to stay in office through illegal means. More than eight in 10 Democrats and 51% of independents thought so, but just 13% of Republicans did.

And while 80% of Democrats think the Jan. 6 committee should recommend Trump be charged with crimes, 44% of independents feel the same and just 8% of Republicans do."
