The inspector general is an independent entity tasked with rooting out waste, fraud and abuse within the Justice Department. IG investigations examine the conduct of current or former department officials, and the office’s role in this case suggests it may be reviewing the contents of Eastman’s phone as part of a criminal investigation into Clark or others who once worked at the department.

In court papers seeking the return of his phone, Eastman argues that because he was never a Justice Department employee, he is “outside of the OIG’s jurisdiction.”"

 

This has been an ongoing issue. Trump has utilized people from the outside like Giuliani and Eastman to conduct intimate operations within the White House, all the way up to overthrowing an election, but who claim immunity from the DOJ because they were not officials of the Trump administration.

A perverted stance is the claim by Mo Brooks who want the DOJ to defend them from criminal and civil suits because they are members of Congress and supposedly were acting in their Congressional capacity when they appeared in non-Congressional activities, such as helping Trump incite a riot against Congress at a gathering at the Ellipse.

 

Trump-endorsed Mastriano, who won the GOP PA primary for governor, is now saying that the abortion issue is a distraction.

Trump-endorsed Mastriano is trailing Shapiro slightly.

Mastriano was a promoter of Trump's quest to overthrow the 2020 election.

How Doug Mastriano promoted election lies between Election Day and Jan. 6

"Pennsylvania Republican state Sen. Doug Mastriano has been identified as a key figure by the House Jan. 6 committee in their investigation into the Capitol insurrection and efforts to overturn the 2020 election.

Mastriano repeatedly supported Trump’s election-fraud lies, including staging a policy committee meeting in November 2020 that gave Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani — and Trump, who called into the meeting — a platform for disinformation. Mastriano spent over $3,000 to bus over 100 Trump supporters to D.C. on Jan. 6.

During the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol, Mastriano was seen crossing police barricades. He said he did not cross any lines established by law enforcement.

Mastriano has denied a subpoena from the committee, but recently agreed to an interview in lieu of a deposition. He has also voluntarily handed over some documents — but the committee said it was not requesting documents involving his work as a Pennsylvania state senator.

From Election Day to Jan. 6, Mastriano promoted baseless conspiracy theories. The Jan. 6 committee has said he worked with the Trump White House to undermine the results of the 2020 election."

 

Like the issue of the overturning of Roe vs. Wade that he now doesn't want to discuss, Mastriano also used the distraction ploy when he said that internet sleuths who caught him red-handed breaching police lines at the Capitol were trying to distract from issues like inflation and should be dismissed as ruling elites.

With the help of Trump's endorsement, Mastriano has since won the 2022 GOP PA primary for governor, and polls show him running near the Democratic challenger, Shapiro, in the November general election.

After Donald J Trump's appointees on the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade; and ruled that school staff can engage in prayer on school grounds, the Republican wet dream is about to become a reality. I have said for many years --right here on Hipforums-- that the Republican Party Platform is identical to that of the KKK. I connected the dots by looking at their political theory ... that is what they stand for. Both the Republican Party and the KKK stand for state rights, and the original interpretation of the Constitution. Right after Roe was overturned, John Cornyn of Texas started calling for the overturning of Plessy v. Furgeson, and of Brown v. Borad of Education. So, now it is clear. Republicans do not want their White Children to go to school with Black children. I have always suspected the same to be the Republican motivation behind school vouchers and charter schools. Now I noticed something new and more dangerous: The Republicans are calling for the re-affirming of The Dred Scott Decision. The Dred Scott case of 1857 said that a Negro is not a United States Citizen and consequently is not entitled to any constitutional protections or the rights which accompany citizenship. When the Negro has no citizenship under the eye of the court, the Negro has no standing in court and cannot advance his cause in court. The Dred Scott decision also concluded by declaring that on states have the right/power to decide what to do about the status of a Negro, and the Federal Government had no right to interfere in these state matters. Now we can see the striking similarities between Dred Scott and last weeks overturning of Roe V. Wade ... which was sent back to the states by Trump's appointees.

If Dred Scott is re-affirmed by Trump's judges, Republicans controlled states will not allow Black people to vote.

 

Henceforth ,there will be official government installed photographic light meters at the entrance of all designed voting locations in all states to determine voting eligibility. Voting while white: all right. Attempted voting while being too dark: Move along, please. Nothing to do here.
