Oh, Lindell will do his best Donald Trumph impersonation - go bankrupt - and not just screw over Dominion, but all that work and supply to him.
Secret Service considered options to get Trump to Capitol on January 6 - CNNPolitics excerpt: "The Secret Service says former President Donald Trump’s call to supporters to walk alongside him to the US Capitol on January 6, 2021, led the agency to consider options to secure a motorcade, but ultimately found that transporting the former President to the Capitol unfeasible. A minute-by-minute accounting of the President’s movements has been a central focus of the House select committee investigating January 6, and sources tell CNN that several members of the Secret Service have testified. “Secret Service personnel assigned to the President’s detail told administration officials that proposed travel plans to visit the Capitol on January 6 would not be feasible,” Secret Service spokesman Anthony Guglielmi said in a statement Tuesday. Guglielmi says after Trump publicly expressed an interest in traveling to the Capitol during the January 6 speech, the agency asked the Metropolitan Police Department to figure out if a motorcade route would be possible. “After further discussions at senior levels, no motorcade route to the Capitol was selected or secured by the Secret Service,” he said."
'Better than President Trump': DeSantis' clout swells in the West excerpt: "TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis is building momentum in the West, a region that’s home to a series of upcoming GOP primaries that will test Donald Trump’s hold on Republicans there. Over the weekend, DeSantis topped Trump in the annual Western Conservative Summit’s straw poll, with 71 percent of participants wanting the Florida governor to run for president in 2024 compared to 67 percent for Trump. The next closest was 28 percent for Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas). It was the second year in a row DeSantis bested the former president at the summit, an annual gathering of around 2,000 party activities just outside of Denver. That straw poll comes on the heels of DeSantis also running neck-and-neck with Trump in a new University of Nevada, Reno survey asking voters in the state to rate potential 2024 candidates. DeSantis received the highest favorability score of any Republican with all voters — 48 percent compared to Trump’s 42 percent — but was bested by Trump, 73-69, when just Republicans were counted. “There is no real party standard-bearer at the moment, and DeSantis in many eyes is starting to define the post-Trump party,” said Tyler Sandberg, a veteran Republican GOP operative, based in Colorado. “He fights more about policy and less on his Twitter account.”"
Pressure is on Trump to declare his candidacy earlier than expected to thwart DeSantis' climbing popularity.
Article from June 2021. MyPillow Guy’s Bizarre New Lawsuit Invokes Sci-Fi and RICO excerpt: "By invoking the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act, or RICO, passed as part of the Organized Crime Control Act in 1970, Lindell appears to be likening the voting machine companies to a sprawling organized crime syndicate. The law contains a criminal offense used by prosecutors to take down organized crime groups, but also contains a provision that allows plaintiffs to sue entities allegedly engaged in the same criminal conduct. Lindell also alleged that the two companies are guilty of defamation, abuse of process, and depriving Lindell of his civil rights under color of state law. The lawsuit is littered with ominous-sounding quotes from sci-fi dystopian fiction like the Terminator franchise—one section of the 80-page suit is dubbed “Rise of the Machines”—1984, Shakespeare, and Fahrenheit 451. But despite the rhetorical flourishes, the suit mostly reiterates the same allegations Lindell presented in an April lawsuit, namely that by suing MyPillow and sending cease-and-desist letters, Dominion and its lawyers have deprived Lindell of his free speech rights and harmed his business."
Perhaps it's time to ding Lindell a million bucks every time he delivers one of these little gems that end up getting blown out of the water. Enough is enough, give your crazy a rest.
‘Frivolous’ Mike Lindell lawsuits against Dominion and Smartmatic tossed out of court Brian Niemietz, New York Daily News May 20, 2022 ‘Frivolous’ Mike Lindell lawsuits against Dominion and Smartmatic tossed out of court excerpt: "A federal judge reportedly dismissed MyPillow CEO salesman Mike Lindell’s defamation lawsuits against election technology companies Smartmatic Corp. and Dominion Voting Systems, ruling the cases were “frivolous.” That judge in Washington, D.C., also ordered the conspiracy theory spouting executive to pay some of Smartmatic’s legal fees Thursday. Lindell’s home state paper, Minnesota’s Star Tribune, reports that U.S. District Judge Carl Nichols found Lindell’s claims against Smartmatic “asserted at least some groundless claims.” According to the court, Lindell’s legal team did not demonstrate that there was a conspiracy against their client or that he was defamed. The 60-year-old conservative is a loyal supporter of former President Donald Trump and insists the 2020 presidential election was somehow rigged. There’s no reason to believe that theory is true."
Thune easily wins primary after Trump threatened to primary him out of existence. Thune glides to victory in South Dakota Senate primary | The Hill excerpt: "At the time, Trump dubbed Thune a “RINO,” or Republican in name only, and predicted that he would be “primaried in 2022.” But Thune faced only token opposition in the primary and ultimately coasted to victory on Tuesday over his four Republican rivals. Thune’s victory in the primary sets him up for a race against Democrat Brian Bengs in November. Bengs is running unopposed in the Democratic Senate primary in South Dakota."
Top Trump White House lawyer in active talks with Jan. 6 committee to testify publicly excerpt: "The House select committee investigating the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol is in active discussions with former White House counsel Pat Cipollone regarding a potential public appearance in one of their upcoming hearings, according to sources familiar with the matter. Cipollone and former deputy White House counsel Pat Philbin previously met with committee investigators for an informal interview in April. Cipollone was one of the few aides who was with then-President Donald Trump in the West Wing on Jan. 6. ABC News previously reported that in the days following the attack on the Capitol, he advised Trump that Trump could potentially face civil liability in connection with his role encouraging supporters to march on the Capitol."
The way he talks about elections, Lindell's brain seems like chopped up scrap mattress foam stuffed into a skull.
Ever see Lindell's pillow ads? They're evangelistic. PLEASE buy my pillows....and my sheets....and my aluminum siding......
I've never seen the adds, but the only way to become wealthy from selling pillows on TV is by ripping somebody off. The pillows probably cost 25 cents each to make in China... Like I said, they are probably scraps of mattress making foam.
Oh, no - there're made "right here in America...." ....right. I just can't comprehend why he is involved the way he is.....plus he was in the White House...advising...it's sick and twisted thing.
Judge sends another trove of Eastman emails to Jan. 6 committee excerpt: "A federal judge Tuesday ordered John Eastman — the attorney who developed former President Donald Trump’s last-ditch strategy to overturn the election — to disclose a batch of 159 sensitive documents to the Jan. 6 select committee, including another email that the judge said presented evidence of a likely crime. In a 26-page ruling, U.S. District Court Judge David Carter also ordered Eastman to provide 10 documents about meetings Eastman held with a secretive pro-Trump group that included a “high-profile” leader discussing strategies for overturning the 2020 election. The 10 documents in question related to three December meetings held by the group. “Five documents include the agenda for a meeting on December 9, 2020,” the California-based judge indicated. “The agenda included a section entitled “GROUND GAME following Nov 4 Election Results,” during which a sitting Member of Congress discussed a “[p]lan to challenge the electors in the House of Representatives.” Other meetings of the group took place on Dec. 8 and Dec. 16, Carter noted. “The Select Committee has a substantial interest in these three meetings because the presentations furthered a critical objective of the January 6 plan: to have contested states certify alternate slates of electors for President Trump,” he ruled. “Dr. Eastman’s actions in these few weeks indicate that his and President Trump’s pressure campaign to stop the electoral count did not end with Vice President Pence — it targeted every tier of federal and state elected officials. Convincing state legislatures to certify competing electors was essential to stop the count and ensure President Trump’s reelection.”"
Trump supporter pleads guilty to rioting at Capitol. Sioux City, Iowa man pleads guilty to Jan. 6 capitol charges excerpt: "SIOUX CITY, Iowa — A Sioux City man, Kenneth Rader, pleads guilty to his involvement in the attack on the United States Capitol on Jan. 6. Rader pleaded guilty to count four of his indictment, parading, demonstrating or picketing in a capitol building. According to court records, that charge carries a maximum sentence of six months in prison followed by no more than five years probation. The charge also carries a fine of up to $5,000 and any other restitution. "No disrespect your honor, but I made peace with God before I left, so let's do this." Along with the plea agreement comes Rader's statement of offense that spells out his actions leading up to Jan. 6 and when he was part of the mob that stormed the capitol. Court documents show he traveled from Sioux City to D.C. to protest the certification of the Electoral College. As early as Nov. 7, 2020, according to court records, Rader began planning to take action to respond to the certification and inauguration of President Joe Biden. He posted on social media, according to court records, spelling out that the election was the "most corrupt election in history," and that he joined a militia."
Fox won't be carrying the televised Jan. 6 hearings on its main news channel. It will be on the Fox Business channel. excerpt from The Independent: "The channel has decided to not air the 6 January public hearings live and instead show only “as news warrants” during its prime time show, with full coverage relegated to its less-viewed sister channel Fox Business. This will make Fox News the only major news network in the US to not carry this Thursday’s hearing live."
