Trump rioter pleads guilty to felony. Richard Michetti of Delaware County Pleads Guilty to Felony Charge in U.S. Capitol Riot – NBC10 Philadelphia
Richard Michetti of Delaware County Pleads Guilty to Felony Charge in U.S. Capitol Riot – NBC10 Philadelphia excerpt: "A Delaware County, Pennsylvania, man has pleaded guilty to a felony count in relation to the January 2021 U.S. Capitol riot after his ex-girlfriend turned him in after he reportedly insulted her intelligence for not believing the election was stolen. Richard Michetti, 29, of Ridley Park, pleaded guilty Tuesday in federal court in Washington to a charge of aiding and abetting obstruction of an official proceeding. He was originally also charged with trespassing, violent entry and disorderly conduct. FBI authorities said a former romantic partner of Michetti alerted authorities about his presence a day after the Jan. 6, 2021, riot by supporters of then-President Donald Trump. Officials said photos showed him inside the Capitol Rotunda."
Still no prosecution of all the alleged Antifa infiltrators at Trump's riot. The world is still waiting for McCarthy to conduct his own investigation in Congress, like he said he would a year ago, and find out what (in his mind) really happened.

CNN Exclusive: Republicans who texted Meadows with urgent pleas on January 6 say Trump could have stopped the violence - CNNPolitics excerpt: "Washington CNN — Within minutes of the US Capitol breach on January 6, 2021, messages began pouring into the cell phone of White House chief of staff Mark Meadows. Among those texting were Republican members of Congress, former members of the Trump administration, GOP activists, Fox personalities – even the President’s son. Their texts all carried the same urgent plea: President Donald Trump needed to immediately denounce the violence and tell the mob to go home. “He’s got to condem (sic) this shit. Asap,” Donald Trump Jr. texted at 2:53 p.m. “POTUS needs to calm this shit down,” GOP Rep. Jeff Duncan of South Carolina wrote at 3:04 p.m. “TELL THEM TO GO HOME !!!” former White House chief of staff Reince Priebus messaged at 3:09 p.m. “POTUS should go on air and defuse this. Extremely important,” Tom Price, former Trump health and human services secretary and a former GOP representative from Georgia, texted at 3:13 p.m. “Fix this now,” wrote GOP Rep. Chip Roy of Texas at 3:15 p.m. One of the key questions the January 6 House committee is expected to raise in its June hearings is why Trump failed to publicly condemn the attack for hours, and whether that failure is proof of “dereliction of duty” and evidence that Trump tried to obstruct Congress’ certification of the election."
Wisconsin's partisan election review is over budget and costing taxpayers nearly $900,000 excerpt: "The review of the 2020 presidential election being conducted by former Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice Michael Gableman has surpassed the initial budget it was given from the Legislature last summer, the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reported Wednesday. Gableman was initially given a budget of $676,000 by Assembly Speaker Robin Vos (R-Rochester) to look into baseless Republican allegations that the election was stolen. Now, the review has missed several deadlines and, as of this week, spent $896,500. The review has surpassed its budget because of a number of legal battles. The ongoing lawsuits mean that the cost to the taxpayers will keep increasing — even though the review has been “on pause” for several weeks. A spokesperson for Vos told the Journal-Sentinel that Gableman isn’t over his budget because legal costs don’t count. “We had no idea the magnitude of obstruction through litigation by the Democrats when the budget was established for the investigation,” spokesperson Angela Joyce said. Gableman is currently involved in five lawsuits, one of which he filed himself. Three of the suits were brought by government watchdog group American Oversight which has sought to force Gableman and Vos to comply with the state’s open records laws and provide documents related to the review. The judges in those cases have repeatedly sided with American Oversight and expressed confusion at Vos and Gableman’s decisions to ignore the open records laws. One of the judges has even found Vos in contempt of court for not providing records."

How Trump's Team Conned Susan Collins Into Dooming Roe v. Wade excerpt: "When the Supreme Court’s draft decision to overturn Roe v. Wade leaked, Sen. Susan Collins said she was flabbergasted, deeply troubled, even shocked. After all, soon-to-be-Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh had promised her in 2018 that Roe was a matter of settled law — despite his deeply conservative track record on abortion. Turns out, Collins wasn’t just wrong about Kavanaugh. She was deliberately manipulated by Trump administration officials — and a future Supreme Court Justice — who viewed her as an easy mark. Two former senior Trump White House officials tell Rolling Stone that the pro-choice Collins wasn’t even considered a serious threat to the devoutly conservative Kavanaugh. Instead, the team predicted she’d need only a vague assurance that the nominee would uphold the half-century-old ruling defending abortion rights. And they were right. “The thinking from Trump … and everybody else who worked to make this happen was that, as long as his nominees didn’t say anything stupid [on abortion] and let the Susan Collins-es of the world think what they needed to think and hear what they needed to hear, then it would get done,” said one of the ex-officials, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss the team’s hearing preparations."
Opinion | Trump Is Finally Boring excerpt: "Trump’s signature 2016 boast of “I alone can fix it” has effectively become “I alone can fixate on it.” The candidate who brought relatively neglected issues that mattered to the average voter into the center of the political discussion in 2016, from immigration and trade to opioids, is now largely telling voters about the slights and ill treatment that matter to him in 2022. All that said, there’s no doubt that rally attendees still enthusiastically enjoy Trump’s lines. And the party’s identification with him may still be so strong that seeking retribution for all the wrongs that were done or allegedly done to him — most especially his loss in 2020 — will be a profound motivator for primary voters in 2024, should Trump go again."
They should have known that a partisan investigation by Gableman would elicit a legal response. Similar to Cyber Ninjas and the AZ audit, Gableman hasn't played by the rules of open records. He has subpoenaed various officials to try to make a backdrop for justifying the rescinding of the WI presidential electoral votes, which can't be done. Gableman himself has been involved in issuing lawsuits at Democrats.
Judge lets Gableman subpoenas of election officials stand for now excerpt: "The recent subpoenas also sought information about grants from the Center for Tech and Civic Life. The firm provided more than $10 million to about 200 Wisconsin communities, the vast majority of which went to the state's five largest cities. Republicans have called the grants unfair, particularly because so much of the money went to communities with large concentrations of Democratic voters. State and federal courts have ruled the grants were lawful in three separate challenges. Last month the Elections Commission reached the same conclusion. Those who challenged the grants last week appealed the commission's rulings to circuit courts — taking the issue to court for the fourth time. Those courts are expected to rule in the coming months. All the court challenges to the grants have been led by the Thomas More Society's Amistad Project, the Wisconsin Voters Alliance and the Minneapolis-headquartered law firm Mohrman, Kaardal & Erickson. Gableman has worked closely with all three. He shares office space in Brookfield with the Thomas More Society and the law firm and has hired the voters alliance's president as an investigator."
Gableman apparently thinks that officials in Madison and Green Bay are in cahoots with Dominion. Judge lets Gableman subpoenas of election officials stand for now excerpt: "Other recent subpoenas from Gableman sought voting machine serial numbers and communications with Dominion Voting Systems by Madison and Green Bay officials. Those cities do not use that company's voting machines and it was not clear why Gableman thought they might be communicating with the firm."
Time for Gableman to concoct another truther narrative, such as Dominion disguised its voting machines by giving them another name so that officials in Madison and Green Bay could use their machines undetected to rig the election in favor of Biden.
NY prosecutors moving closer to charging Steve Bannon in border wall effort Trump pardoned him for - CNNPolitics excerpt: "Several close allies of Steve Bannon have been subpoenaed to testify before a New York state grand jury investigating his fundraising for a private border wall effort, people familiar with the investigation tell CNN. The subpoenas were sent to several witnesses in recent weeks, requiring them to appear and provide testimony for the Manhattan district attorney’s probe, the people said. Among those who received subpoenas are people in Bannon’s “immediate circle,” according to one of the sources familiar with the matter. The subpoenas are the clearest indication that the Manhattan district attorney’s criminal investigation into Bannon’s fundraising efforts is intensifying and could lead to possible charges against former President Donald Trump’s onetime adviser. The district attorney’s office launched the criminal investigation into Bannon’s “We Build the Wall” crowd-fundraising activities early last year after Trump pardoned Bannon on federal fraud charges relating to the same alleged scheme. Presidential pardons do not apply to state investigations."
