Article from September 2020 about Trump's ongoing insults leveled at Omar, one of the three Muslim members of Congress.

‘She’s telling us how to run our country’: Trump again goes after Ilhan Omar’s Somali roots

    excerpt:

"Last year, Trump called for Omar and some of her progressive peers in Congress to “go back” to “the totally broken and crime-infested places from which they came.” Trump supporters also chanted “send her back” during a rally last year, a line that has become common among his base.

During a rally last week, Trump called Omar an “extremist” and said Democrats wanted to allow into the country Somali and Yemeni refugees who he said were coming from “Jihadist regions.” He also bragged about deporting Somali nationals during that rally, calling them “hardened criminals” who are “back in their country where they can do all the complaining they want.” He held the rally in Minnesota, the state with one of the largest ethnic Somali communities in the country."

After talking like he had a good chance of winning it, Trump lost Minnesota in 2020 by 233,000 votes (which he probably thinks were stolen from him).

Plus they cheered him!! All of the whack jobs are coming out of the woodwork to run. My favorite is Kelly Daughtry. "Good North Carolina Christian Values" then the first thing she blurts out in her sneering manner "Joe Biden is even worse than Obama and Hillary"....Then she goes on a rant about Biden causing inflation. How about policies? Look at her financials, One $150,000 loan from daddy and two $500 contributions. "I'm Kelly Daughtry. I'm from a family of wealth and privilege. My daddy pays for everything I have ever needed. Oh, I have no political experience, that doesn't really matter....you just have to be angry and say crazy things...."

Trump might be spending lots of his thinking time on the idea of serious prison time.

I wish the January 6th Committee would just shift into high gear and put his fat ass in prison.

Trump Tells Rally He's Seeking 'Justice' For Jan. 6 Rioters; He's Not Talking About Prison

    excerpt:

"Even though rioters stormed Pelosi’s office, she worked with some of Trump’s top military officials and others to help secure the building from a secure location. Pelosi shares some control of the Capitol Police with the Senate majority leader.

The District of Columbia mayor, meanwhile, was desperately trying to reach Trump that day, the Post reported.

As for Trump, he ignored entreaties to ask his supporters to leave the building for hours while they marauded through the building and called for then-Vice President Mike Pence to be hanged for refusing to overturn the election."

    excerpt:

"Despite his defense of his supporters who breached the Capitol, Trump said in an interview with The Washington Post published two days earlier that he thought the violence was “a shame.”

I thought it was a shame, and I kept asking why isn’t she doing something about it? Why isn’t [House Speaker] Nancy Pelosi doing something about it?” Trump said.

“And the mayor of D.C. also — the mayor of D.C. and Nancy Pelosi are in charge,” he added. “I hated seeing it. I hated seeing it. And I said, ‘It’s got to be taken care of,’ and I assumed they were taking care of it.’”"

Pelosi isn't in charge of the Capitol police.

The mayor of DC requested the DC national guard but the request had to flow up the chain of command at the Pentagon which took hours on Jan. 6.

Trump was in direct control of the DC national guard. He could have used it but sat for hours and did nothing while his riot ensued.

The House passed a version of the 2022 NDAA that would have given the mayor of DC control of the national guard similar to how governors of states control it. The Republicans in the Senate killed it.

Even if she had been (and if McConnell in the Senate had been), the police were overwhelmed by 3,000 of Trump's protesters and weren't sufficiently equipped (and never could be) to handle a riot of that magnitude.

The national guard eventually cleared out Trump's rioters in the evening of Jan. 6.

Video shows some of Trump's rioters defiant and still fighting a line of national guard in the evening as the Capitol was cleared.

Trump promptly used the police to clear Lafayette park of people protesting police brutality during the summer of 2020.

Trump flew into a rage after someone mentioned Ukraine – according to his former deputy national security adviser

    excerpt:

“He felt like our allies were screwing us, and he had no sense as to why these alliances benefited us or why you need a global footprint for military and strategic capabilities,” Kupperman said. “If one were to ask him to define ‘balance of power,’ he wouldn’t know what that concept was. He’d have no idea about the history of Ukraine and why it’s in the front pages today. He wouldn’t know that Stalin starved that country. Those are the contextual points one has to take into account in the making of foreign policy."

It's unlikely that Trump would be able to identify Ukraine on a map.

Trump wasn't sure if Finland was part of Russia.
