Trump was dumb enough to believe Putin's rhetoric that he wanted to use a 'special military operation' to liberate Ukraine of Nazis and be a peacekeeper for their new-found 'independence'.

Arizona Supreme Court dismisses GOP lawsuit aimed at eliminating early voting - CNNPolitics excerpt: "Arizona’s Supreme Court on Tuesday dismissed a lawsuit by state Republicans that aimed to eliminate the state’s early voting system, which is used by the vast majority of Arizona voters. The court said in its order that it didn’t have original jurisdiction in the case and declined to hear the lawsuit. The court also did not consider two other issues in the case – whether the state’s elections procedures manual should include guidelines on verifying voter signatures and whether the use of drop boxes for ballots are unconstitutional. Republicans filed the lawsuit in February, arguing that the Arizona Constitution does not allow for mail-in voting or other forms of early voting but specifically directs that votes be cast in person. The lawsuit said that “in-person voting at the polls on a fixed date is the only constitutionally permissible manner of voting.”"

I'm thinking of writing a report about the Donald. I think I'll call it The Angina Monologues. My husband loves him, so I hear all his stupid, self aggrandizing speeches. What a clown.
Trump rallies once had some pragmatic features, such as appealing to the working class left-behinders. Over the years, they have morphed into worship events. The Growing Religious Fervor in the American Right: 'This Is a Jesus Movement' excerpt: "Compared with 2016, Trump rallies are taking on the feel of worship events, from the stage to the audience. When Trump held his first rally of the year in Florence, Arizona, in January, he descended via helicopter into a jubilant crowd. “I lay the key of David upon you,” Anthony Kern, a candidate for the Arizona state Senate who was photographed on the Capitol steps on Jan. 6, 2021, proclaimed to the crowd from the stage, paraphrasing a biblical passage about power given by God. “That means the governmental authority is upon you, men and women.” Standing in the crowd, Kathy Stainbrook closed her eyes and raised her arms high in worship. She had come from Shasta County, California, with a group of Christian women involved in the Shasta County Freedom Coalition, a collection of right-wing groups that has included a militia, according to its website, and has supported an effort to recall a Republican county supervisor. The coalition also promotes “biblical citizenship” classes. A friend of Stainbrook’s, Tami Jackson, who was also in the crowd, said she had come to see politics as an inherently spiritual struggle. She said she wanted to be a part of “staking claim” to what God was doing. “This is a Jesus movement,” Jackson said. “I believe God removed Donald for a time so the church would wake up and have confidence in itself again to take our country back.”"
My husband has said that God sent Trump to save us. I certainly don't believe it, though, for many reasons. But I see the almost worshipful look in the eyes of his followers. It's just wrong.
Where I am here in North Dakota Trump has some heavy support. The common thread among them is that they are very ill informed, to the point of stupid. They know little of international issues, and do not understand the domestic issues which they have heard about on FOX news.
