Interesting couple of points came up in the UK Prime Ministers questions at a House Of Commons Liaison Committee today .

One things certain is that "lethal" aid is being ramped up , which is a further indication that Western Leaders are judging Russia by what it does and not what it says .

Donation of Armoured Land Rovers was mentioned to give the Ukrainians more mobility as this is clearly lacking from the pictures seen of Ukrainian troops foot slogging all of the time . Fine whilst defending but not ideal for counter attacking and going on the offensive .

I presume these will be the Snatch Land Rovers that the British Army withdrew from service whilst in Afghanistan . Many have been sold already .

Whilst "Armoured " these will only protect against small arms fire

The other mention was Armoured Ambulances under a white helmet scheme. Not sure on that one has Russian soldiers have been seen opening fire on Ambulances already .

This tank that has been captured by the Russians looks very suspect to me .

The Ukrainians do not have T72s of their own other than captured examples. They use T64s and T80/4s

This is in proper Ukrainian colours and is a type that the Poles have surplus .

    Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Guess the Russian Army didn't get the memo.

Prior to the invasion you needed special permission to enter the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone.

You were only allowed to remain in the area for short period of time, and were required to wear radiation detectors. If the radiation reached a certain level you were required to leave immediately.

The old Soviet doctrine (unofficial) was life is cheap . Losses are simply replaced . The High Command arn't concerned . It comes down to a low ranking unit officer to break the news to the fallen's family and often the truth is distorted .That attribute still seems to exist in the modern Russian army

There are signs that some Russian Troops in the Northern areas are moving back into Belarus .

But this could well be Putins April Fool joke on the West . So we will have to wait and see .

If Ukraine did attack that fuel depot, that doesn’t say much about the Russian air defense system.

Maybe the helos were posing as Russian birds, thus not becoming targets in the first place. From videos, they appeared to be Hind Ds (Mil MI-24), a venerable model of attack helicopter in use on both sides. I've also seen speculations that this could've been a Russian false flag.

Definite possibility, although would they fire on their own fuel supply?

A good example of that doctrine is highlighted in the movie "The Enemy at the Gate"
