I sure wouldn't want to be the one to try to blow a bogie wheel off of a T-90 with an RPG-7.
    A BTR-80, perhaps...

Whatever's at hand I would think. The air intake of a turbine or diesel might be an interesting place to start. But that's above my pay grade, Capt would know.

That my be happening now as the Ukrainians have been promised longer range Anti aircraft missiles by the US . These will be ideal as they will have night fighting capability .

If I was in a BTR80 ,I wouldnt hang around against any tank . Its only equipped with 2 machine guns which are useless against a tank. For a tank would provide a big juicy target for a tank . Its merely a troop transporter and carries an infantry squad into battle .

Using an RPG7 you would stand a chance against a tank but only to disable it unless you can get a rear short into the engine . These are better for destroying lighter vehicles and a very good helicopter killer .

My choice of infantry weapon is the US supplied Javelin . These are very effective tank killers. Point and shoot and then you can forget it whilst you move into cover. The missile does all the work and homes into the tank at an angle to penetrate the top where a tank is the most weakest . The Ukrainians luv these and account for most of the Russian Tank losses along with break downs .

For the first time I can honestly say ,I think Ukrainian defenders are turning the tide . The Russian Campaign in military terms despite what Putin claims has been abysmal so far and thankfully it has been that way. There appears to be no coordination between different units and making all the mistakes I have made on a wargames table when I was aged 10 . Tanks grouped together in an urban area unsupported by infantry is a case in point . The Ukrainians are just picking them off .

The Russian strategy has been very baffling to Military Experts .

Todays Bulletin confirms all the Russian attacks have stalled .

I feel confident Ukraine can win the war is given the tools and quickly without delay . If Ukraine lose this war I could place blame partially on the West for being too slow in supplying the tools.

No wonder Putin is open to peace talks . He knows he is losing .

The Ukrainians are being sent the SwitchBlade Drone by the USA to add to their Drones from Turkey . This is the first conflict I have seen with extensive use of Drones .

The AeroVironment Switchblade is a miniature loitering munition drone developed by AeroVironment. It is designed as a "kamikaze drone", being able to crash into its target with an explosive warhead to destroy it. The Switchblade is small enough to be carried in a backpack and can be launched from a variety of ground, maritime, and air platforms. Two variants exist, the Switchblade 300 and the Switchblade 600.

Apparently they can take out tanks

About 3 of those on a Russian unit of draftees will get them to re-consider their situation no matter what their commanders tell them.

    Things are getting deperate.

Its reported another Major General has been killed

Normally officers of this rank are no where near the front line as they tend to be at an age whereby combat is somewhat passed them by and are there to command and and make decisions . Another sign of how badly it is going for the Russians .

This Russian army is a lame duck but the Ukrainians just dont have the weapons to see it off for good

I heard that the Russians want to try Navalny on a more serious charge which could add another eleven years to his sentence.

In regards to the woman protester, the French, and Germans have offered her asylum in their embassy.

That was the most heart-breaking thing broadcast in days. Even Erin began to cry and tried to be professional and not show it. But had to stop once to collect herself. Her damn 'producer' wouldn't give her a break and she had to continue with smeared mascara. Good job, lady.

As I understand it, they charged her with a 'misdemeanor' with a fine of about $300. BUT, that leaves open their ability to charge her with a 'felony' of treason, and 15 yrs in prison. So the story is not yet over. We shall see.

BTW, her name, for all of us to see, is Marina Ovsyannikova.

We'll probably have another one of these with the Russian troops pretty soon. To quote Boris Pasternak..."once the boots wore out....."

They have no dog in this fight.
