Putin has been humiliated and frustrated for years that his installed leader in Ukraine was ousted in 2014 by the people of Ukraine and who fled to Russia. Putin invaded Crimea shortly afterwards.

Putin was likely already preparing for a future global invasion of Ukraine. It might have happened earlier if Trump hadn't been elected in 2016, which gave Putin even more opportunity to cultivate a favorable situation for him to take over Ukraine in its entirety.

 

Consider Trump's public claim that Montenegro might start World War III in the current context of Putin invading Ukraine.

Trump said Putin would be a peacemaker in Ukraine shortly before Putin's current invasion.

Trump rudely pushed the leader of Montenegro out of the way on stage in May 2017 during a summit at NATO headquarters in Brussels so that he could be in front of everyone for a photo-op.

Leader of Alabama Chapter of Oath Keepers Pleads Guilty to Seditious Conspiracy and Obstruction of Congress for Efforts to Stop Transfer of Power Following 2020 Presidential Election

Defendant Participated in Plot to Use Force to Oppose Execution of U.S. Laws, Including the Attack on the Capitol During the Certification Proceeding

A regional leader of the Oath Keepers pleaded guilty today to seditious conspiracy and obstruction of an official proceeding for his actions before, during and after the breach of the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021. His and others’ actions disrupted a joint session of the U.S. Congress convened to ascertain and count the electoral votes related to the presidential election.

Joshua James, 34, of Arab, Alabama, pleaded guilty to seditious conspiracy in connection with the Capitol breach. As part of the plea agreement, James has agreed to cooperate with the government’s ongoing investigation.

As described in court documents, James is the regional leader in charge of the Alabama chapter of the Oath Keepers. The Oath Keepers are a large but loosely organized collection of individuals, some of whom are associated with militias. Though the Oath Keepers will accept anyone as members, they explicitly focus on recruiting current and former military, law enforcement, and first-responder personnel.

In his guilty plea, James, a military veteran, admitted that, from November 2020 through January 2021, he conspired with other Oath Keeper members and affiliates to use force to prevent, hinder and delay the execution of the laws of the United States governing the transfer of presidential power. He used encrypted and private communications, equipped himself with a variety of weapons, donned combat and tactical gear, and was prepared to answer a call to take up arms.

According to court documents, on Jan. 4, 2021, James and others traveled to the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. He brought a semi-automatic handgun and stored multiple firearms at a Virginia hotel. On Jan. 6, after learning the Capitol had been breached, James and others traveled to the Capitol on golf carts, driving around multiple barricades, including marked law enforcement vehicles. James was wearing a backpack, a combat shirt, tactical gloves, boots, a paracord attachment, and an Oath Keepers hat and patches. He and others unlawfully entered the Capitol together through the East Rotunda doors. Inside the Rotunda, James assaulted a Metropolitan Police Department officer by grabbing the officer’s vest and pulling him towards the mob. While pulling the officer, James yelled, “Get out of my Capitol! This is not yours! This is my Capitol!” James was expelled by law enforcement, including at least one officer who aimed chemical spray at him.

Last year, Racine County Sheriff Christopher Schmaling accused five election commissioners of felony election fraud for their decision.

In the report, Gableman offers scant details about how exactly the law was broken, saying “in violation of its federal and state legal duties, Wisconsin election officials failed to prevent wards and incapacitated persons from voting in the 2020 Presidential election — casting doubt on the election result.”

But in his testimony, he presented a number of video interviews with senior citizens and their families, who were subjected to questions that apparently test if someone has the mental capacity to cast a ballot.

The videos, which were not presented with evidence that these nursing home residents had been declared incompetent by a judge and therefore had their voting rights revoked, are only supposed to give Republican voters and legislators the “feeling” that something bad happened."

"“Look no further than what Gableman does on the nursing home residents,” Rocco says. “These people are being asked questions in an absurd situation and they’re being asked questions that millions of voters in the United States might have trouble answering, and then this is evidence these people are not qualified to vote.”

“Leave aside the fact that this is not a decision that Gableman is allowed to make,” he continues. “Declaration of mental incompetence can only be made by a court after a thorough review of evidence, and he knows that, he’s a judge. And he knows the committee knows it and he knows they know he knows it. The only thing you can conclude from that is that this is intended to be a spectacle that, while there’s no credibility to the evidence that’s presented, creates the feeling that there’s some evidence there.”

The sense, no matter how vague or evidence-free, shared by many Republican voters that the 2020 election was stolen is only strengthened by reports such as Gableman’s, Milwaukee Elections Commission Director Claire Woodall-Vogg said in an online press conference on the Gableman report Wednesday."

 

Gableman wants to disband the Wisconsin Elections Commission and give control to the state legislature.
