The human brain is the reason we cant see the life cycle of organisms that is really there. It is our strength and is is our weakness.
Here we have FOX news, a Trump supporting network, and it has certainly blinded a lot of people. Do you have a Boris Johnson supporting news network in the UK?
I am in New England and abhor Faux News, which my Trump loving husband LOVES! It's on a lot. Tucker Carlson(I call him Fucker Quarrelsome), Sean Insanity, Judge Latrine Pee-Eww, and the rest are forever blathering on about Trump. I'd be willing to bet that the UK has a news outlet that's similar.
the funny thing is that no matter what he does, when I think of Donald Trump I think of a reactionary and revolutionary America. Is Donald Trump a force for good? No. Barrack Obama? Yes. Barrack Obama. The man is a legend, and to mention him here is only to contrast his genuine, articulate, and educated mode of delivery, and politcal intellect with the antihesis of that; President Trump. The point about Trump though is that his relentless approach has created an agitated, yet better-informed American public. People are on alert, and I like that because it's probably necessary. So, do I thank Trump for a January insurrection at the Capitol? No... but I equate his presidency with generating the necessary momentum to lift America. In a sense, I think Trump's presidency did make America great; though not the way he wanted to (by erecting a wall at the southern border, for example... ). The political climate is ripe for change now, and I feel like that will continue beyond 2024. I think it has momentum, and even if the next several presidents do nothing particularly special, and even if we see a 2024 Cruz presidency, or Janet Yellen, or Pete Buttigieg, or Andrew Yang, it will be okay for years to come. Even if we see a republican White House. So in a nutshell, I think Donald Trump's presidency will define the future for America simply by forcing it to restore factory settings.
Step back a second, take a breath. Ted Cruz? Seriously?! If Trump was Putin's puppet, Cruz would be Putin's bitch!
Ted Cruz can have a turn... What do you think he would do? He might try to ban elementary curriculum that teaches critical race theory. His state has that reputation. But they also have a lot of votes going to democratic candidates like Beto O'rourke. I don't like his leadership style, but I sort of think that's their point. The modern republican caucus has gone a little subliminal on us and seems to have a very low opinion of the direction of PC politics. Here is an article with Senator Cruz from CNN: Ted Cruz calls President Biden's promise to nominate first Black woman to Supreme Court 'offensive' and 'insulting' - CNNPolitics He seems to think the idea of letting an African American woman be a Supreme Court justice is affirmative action at its finest. I'm of the opinion that there is literally more to it than that... But for the sake of argument, even if President Biden were mistaken, I don't see any real harm in doing that. We have a stated direction with that move. We want to implement some kind of change. Senator Cruz would like to instruct your attention to the political bias in the selection process. The reality is not that cut and dried... President Biden may want to let the Supreme Court know that despite their conservative tone, they will become a complete spectacle if they try to dismantle the laws of America. Putting an African American justice in that position accomplishes his message on two fronts: it communicates to Joe Average that we are A-OK with African Americans in the democrat caucus. It also says something to the other justices; who may or may not take heed... and of course will resound in the chambers of the Supreme Court decisions for as long as she sits on the bench. It's a bold move, and Cruz wanted to discredit it, which he effectively did for anyone who tuned in to his podcast. ------ I like Joe Biden's moves better, and really I like an Andrew Yang presidency better than the other one's I mentioned. But Ted Cruz can have a go. He just needs to wipe that smirk off of his face. This is America.
I found a print of a black and white oil painting done by my friend Kristin, using a pre-fame photo of young John Lennon in Hamburg, Germany. The painting is called STRIKING HAMBURG. What do you think?
I also wanted to share a limerick I wrote about Trump: There once was a fellow named Trump As stubborn as any old stump; Seems he wanted a wall. When they asked him "how tall?" Said, " How high can a Mexican jump?" Peace, brothers and sisters!
