She also harassed people waiting in line for the vaccine and called for the execution of Fauci.

Whenever an anti-vaxxer who bothers people over getting the vaccine or a QAnon believer dies from the virus, absolutely nothing of value is lost.

*edited to add* You'd think all the anti-vax radio show and podcast hosts dying from it might be a sign, but of course the nutjobs are just going to point at those being part of a conspiracy. Because, you know, they don't believe in common sense.

In the OAN interview, Trump is still claiming he won AZ without giving details.

Misleading, inaccurate and false: Maricopa County says Cyber Ninjas election audit report was all wrong

    excerpt:

"Every claim made by Cyber Ninjas and other Arizona Senate contractors who reviewed Maricopa County's 2020 presidential election was either misleading, inaccurate or false, according to a point-by-point response by county officials issued on Wednesday.

The 93-page report, months in the making, studied every question the contractors raised about the election and analyzed thousands of individual voter records. It explained that the contractors made faulty assumptions and false accusations, in part because of mistakes they made during their analysis but also because they were inexperienced and misunderstood how the county and state's elections work.

“At the heart of these inaccuracies is a basic misunderstanding or ignorance of election laws and procedures,” county officials wrote in the report.

While Cyber Ninjas raised questions about more than 50,000 ballots cast in the election, a wider margin than Biden won in the state, the county's analysis of those claims found fewer than 100 instances of potential voter fraud or double-counted ballots. That's far fewer than it would have taken to impact the outcome of any race, and within the expectations of an election with nearly 2.1 million voters.

After analyzing each claim, the county is referring 37 cases of potential voter fraud to the Arizona Attorney General, including 26 potential deceased voters, six voters who may have voted twice, and five voters who may have voted in more than one county."

Trump is still saying that more people voted in MI than the number registered.

Fact check: Michigan townships had more registered voters than votes

    excerpt:

"Voter turnout data does not support claim

The statements likely originate from an affidavit filed Nov. 25 by cybersecurity analyst and former Republican congressional candidate Russell James Ramsland Jr. that includes a long list of false voter turnout statistics in Michigan townships.

The claim that Michigan's Zeeland Charter Township had voter turnout that exceeded 100% is false. The affidavit falsely claims turnout there was 460.51%, however, data from Ottawa County shows that Zeeland Charter Township's four precincts had turnout rates of 74.46%, 80.35%, 80.84% and 84.80%.

Spring Lake Township in Ottawa County, which is claimed in the affidavit to have 120% turnout, has six precincts that had turnout rates of 72.65%, 82.18%, 77.03%, 81.91%, 84.15% and 66.74%."

In the OAN interview, Trump says that the electoral vote results presented to Congress on Jan. 6 could have somehow been easily sent back to the state legislatures, and sent back based on his unsubstantiated claims of voter fraud.

Trump blamed Pence and McConnell for not trying to do more to overturn the election on Jan. 6.

Insufficient votes were available in the House and Senate on Jan. 6 to send the slates of swing states that Trump lost back to the state legislatures. That process happened on Jan. 6 and was interrupted by Trump's riot. Trump's riot caused a few of the objectors to change their minds, which further hurt his chances. No electoral slates went back to the states.

Outside of the Electoral Count Act of 1887 (which failed for Trump on Jan. 6), there isn't a formal, agreed-upon method for Congress to send electoral votes back to the states. It would require a highly unusual situation for Congress to even consider it, such as Congress receiving two or more conflicting electoral slates from the same state, making it impossible to record the result.

This is why Trump turned on GOP Sen. Thune of South Dakota in January 2021.

Thune said that he knew of no intent of any senator in SD to object to Biden's win on Jan. 6.

This infuriated Trump who shortly afterward called Thune a RINO and Mitch's boy and threatened to primary him out of existence in 2022.

Having states change their minds about their electoral slate before Congress records them in January would be very difficult in itself. Trying to have Congress send the slates back to states to change them retroactively, like Trump wanted to do on January 6, is even more difficult.

Could State Legislatures Pick Electors to Vote for Trump? Not Likely

    excerpt:

"Michigan’s attorney general, Dana Nessel, a Democrat, told reporters this week that it appeared the Trump lawsuits were aimed at stopping county and state boards from certifying the election, so that the Legislature could send “a faithless slate of electors” to support Mr. Trump.

A spokeswoman for Michigan’s Senate majority leader said that state law did not allow the Legislature to directly select electors or to award electors to anyone besides the winner of the popular vote. Mr. Biden won the state by nearly 150,000 votes.

In Pennsylvania, where Mr. Biden’s winning margin is currently more than 58,000 votes and the Trump campaign is in court asking for a delay in certifying the results, Republican leaders of the State Senate and House of Representatives said before Election Day that the General Assembly would have no role in choosing electors."

Trump thinks he should be president because he was a participant in the election.

Judge questions why Trump was quiet during the riot.

'Let's stick with the facts': A federal judge rebuked Trump's lawyer's claim that he urged his supporters to be peaceful on January 6

    excerpt:

"A federal judge on Monday forced lawyers for former President Donald Trump to reckon with his hours of silence during the January 6, 2021, attack on the Capitol, asking in court whether the president's initial inaction could be considered a tacit endorsement of the day's violence.

US District Judge Amit Mehta also rejected one lawyer's claim that Trump urged his supporters to be peaceful on that day, telling the attorney to "stick with the facts."

During a court hearing Monday, Mehta said that for a "two-hour period" on the day of the siege, Trump did not "take to Twitter or to any other type of communication and say, 'Stop. Get out of the Capitol. What you are doing is not what I wanted you to do.'""

Trump's lawyers met with Fulton County prosecutors in Georgia fraud case — and an unhinged statement followed

    excerpt:

"Maddow then connected the dots between the meeting between Trump's lawyers and Fulton County prosecutors with a Dec. 2021 statement in which Trump railed against unspecified "prosecutors."

"All the Democrats want to do is put people in jail. They are vicious, violent and Radical Left thugs," Trump said in his statement. "They are destroying people's lives, which is the only thing they are good at."

"This seemed particularly unhinged even for him," commented Maddow."

As expected, Trump attacks Mike Rounds.

Romney defends Biden's 2020 win after Trump attacks GOP's Rounds

    excerpt:

"True to form, Trump released a statement on Monday in which he went after Rounds for denying his election claims, saying the senator “just went woke on the Fraudulent Presidential Election of 2020.”

“Is he crazy or just stupid?” Trump continued about the remarks Rounds made on “This Week,” adding, “The only reason he did this is because he got my endorsement and easily won his state in 2020, so now he thinks he has time, and those are the only ones, the weak, who will break away. Even though his election will not be coming up for 5 years, I will never endorse this jerk again.”"

Trump challenges riot lawsuits, says fiery speech was official act

    excerpt:

"Jan 10 (Reuters) - Donald Trump's lawyer argued in court on Monday that the former president cannot be sued over his fiery speech before the deadly Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the Capitol because he was acting within the scope of his official presidential duties.

Trump's lawyer, Jesse Binnall, said during a court hearing that Trump was "immune," or shielded, from three lawsuits by Democratic members of Congress and two police officers.

"Executive immunity must be broad," Binnall said."

That means Trump's official presidential duties include inciting a riot at the Capitol to overthrow a legitimate election by threatening members of Congress and doing nothing about the ensuing violence for a few hours when he could have easily stopped it.

Mo Brooks tried this same ploy with the DOJ and lost.
