    Hey Joel.....ummmmmm

    Matthew 19:16:

21: Jesus told him, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven"

22: When the young man heard this, he went away in sorrow, because he had great wealth.

23: Then Jesus said to His disciples, “Truly I tell you, it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven.

Republicans' trust in medicine and science has been declining for decades. Trump has eroded their confidence in elections.

Republicans' trust in doctors is eroding. It's a symptom of a larger disease.

    excerpt:

"It's not an idle question. A new Gallup poll indicates that Republicans are feeling increasingly shaky about the medical profession: The number who say they are confident in their physician's medical advice has dropped 13 points since 2010. Twenty-two percent report they trust their doctor less than they did just a year ago.

Those numbers won't surprise Americans who have watched COVID vaccines take center stage in our partisan culture wars. Roughly 40 percent of self-identified Republicans remain unvaccinated against the coronavirus, egged on by hypocritical conservative "thought leaders" — like Fox News' Tucker Carlson — who have promoted anti-vax hysteria. (The results have been deadly: The death toll in counties that voted for Donald Trump is higher than in those that supported Joe Biden.) Conservatives have spent the last year being told they can't trust their doctor's advice on vaccines. Clearly they're listening.

The question now is whether the new Gallup poll is a blip, or if it reflects a wider, longer-term trend. The latter looks likely — Gallup reported in July that Republican confidence in science itself has declined from 72 percent in the mid-1970s to 45 percent this year, withering under decades-long conservative assaults on questions like climate change and the teaching of evolution. Doctor mistrust might be part of the same phenomenon."

I just saw an article which told Mark Meadows had an email indicating he supported the idea of having "Alternate" electors who could vote for Trump regardless of how voters in their state voted. That means Meadows and Gaetz and Boebert and Greene want Trump under any circumstance. In any other country, these Republican actions and words would be considered an attempt to overthrow the existing government.

So----Tuckkkker Karlson sides with Russia against Ukraine. Between Fox "news "and owners --the Murdoch family and all the "stars "on that channel---I have a question--Why are you trying to bring this country down? Why are the aforementioned and the republican party so vehemently against anything and everything that means progress for Biden and the democratic party? For the middle class workers in this country? I firmly now believe that if trump, the republican party and the 74 million dummies that voted for him were told that we should have a country styled on the Russian model---they would fall right in line with that thinking. Dog forbid that the repubs retake the majorities in the government in the coming elections-----democracy is dying here and the useful idiots --Boebert, Greene, Gaetz and others are hastening this trend along. Never thought I'd see a major party try and ruin this country like the republican party is now doing. Damn them them. Damn them all!!:mad::mad::mad:

    Regarding FOX News

Fox News Christmas tree in New York City set ablaze, man arrested

(Reuters) - New York police arrested a man on Wednesday on suspicion that he had set on fire a 50-foot-tall Christmas tree outside the Fox News headquarters in midtown Manhattan.

Fox News security personnel called police shortly after midnight when they saw a man climbing the tree located at Sixth Avenue and 48th Street, police said.

When officers arrived on the scene they saw a man, identified as Craig Tamanaha, 49, running from the tree and arrested him. He faces several charges, including arson, trespassing and disorderly conduct.

In what could be mistaken for an SNL sketch, Gaetz says he is going after the FBI for implementing Trump's riot at the Capitol.

Matt Gaetz Chills Critics With ‘Terrifying’ Prediction About GOP In 2022
It’s “a nightmare scenario that should send us all screaming to the polls,” one person hit back at the extremist Florida Republican on Twitter.

Matt Gaetz Chills Critics With ‘Terrifying’ Prediction About GOP In 2022

    excerpt:

“We are going to take power after this next election and when we do, it’s not going to be the days of Paul Ryan and Trey Gowdy and no real oversight and no real subpoenas,” Gaetz told a news conference highlighting District of Columbia jail conditions for accused U.S. Capitol rioters.

“It’s going to be the days of Jim Jordan and Marjorie Taylor Greene and Dr. [Paul] Gosar and myself doing everything” to get answers to claims about FBI involvement in the deadly violence on Jan. 6, he added. The conspiracy theory that insurrectionists were a “false flag” operation of anti-Trumpists, promoted by some Republican extremists and right-wing media personalities, has been debunked.

Trump’s 2022 Endorsements Are Earlier, Bolder And More Dangerous Than When He Was President

    excerpt:

"Finally, not only is Trump endorsing earlier in national races, but he’s also backing candidates in state-level elections, particularly for secretary of state.

Trump has endorsed candidates for secretary of state — a state’s top election official — in Arizona, Georgia and Michigan. This is an unusually niche endorsement for a president to make; Trump didn’t endorse in any secretary of state primaries in 2018, for instance. But the logic here is clear: These three secretaries of state in question refused to overturn the 2020 presidential result in their states, and Trump is now attempting to fill these positions with officials who baselessly think the 2020 presidential election was stolen from him."

Dismal new polling for Biden shows him neck-in-neck with Trump in hypothetical 2024 rematch

    excerpt:

"An overwhelming 63% of respondents, however, still believe the US is on the wrong track, with just 27% believing that the US is on the right track. And voters believe current issues like the state of the economy, inflation, crime, and political divisions in America will only continue to get worse, not better, by significant margins.

But while voters may be souring on Biden and the state of the country, their dissatisfaction isn't sending them back to Trump, the de facto leader of the GOP. In the hypothetical 2024 rematch between Biden and Trump, 46% of voters would back Biden and 45% would back Trump.

While polls of hypothetical election matches three years away offer little predictive value or insight, Trump lagging Biden by one point (within the poll's margin of error of 2.5 points) despite voters' negative views on Biden and his party speaks to his potential vulnerabilities in a 2024 rematch."

Curious as to why Fox is sayng tourists would be dismayed when seeing the burned tree.

In the mind of Trump and Fox hosts, the man who lit the tree on fire was just a tourist visiting Fox.

'Beyond tragic': 'Fox & Friends' hosts say the Christmas-tree fire outside their studio is proof of 'the crime surge in this country'

    excerpt:

"I mean, it's just part of the rampance that no city is safe, no person is safe, from the subway on down," Kilmeade said, later adding that the suspect was "tackled to the ground" by security "within two seconds."

Earhardt lamented that tourists would see security tape around the tree instead of its lights, music, and other seasonal elements.
