Trump Actively Seeking Vengeful Ouster of Alabama’s Republican Governor, Report Says

    excerpt:

"Former President Donald Trump has a vendetta against Alabama Gov. Kay Ivey and is trying to woo a Republican into opposing her run for re-election, all because the former president blames Ivey for the cancellation of one of his scheduled rallies in her state this summer.

Although Trump’s “Freedom Rally” planned for July 3 at the USS Alabama Battleship Memorial Park in Mobile was canceled by the Battleship Commission that oversees the park and not the governor, the former president is holding Ivey personally responsible. Trump has “privately blamed” Ivey for the cancellation, The Wall Street Journal reported Saturday, and now his heart is set on vengeance."

You miss the point Eric. This meme is directed at people who buy into this bullshit and vote accordingly. Politics has always been full of shit but not at this level. Trump's GOP and their minions will say and do anything to take back the House, Senate and White House, and then chip away at our rights and freedoms. And if they don't they'll continually claim election fraud.

    Followup.

Registered Republican Donald Hartle has pleaded guilty guilty to using his dead wife's name to vote twice in the 2020 election.

Another voter fraud accusation blows up in Republicans' faces - CNNPolitics

    excerpt:

"But Hartle had actually cast the phony ballot himself.

On Tuesday, Hartle pleaded guilty to the crime of voting more than once in the same election. The judge, 8 News Now reported, said Hartle had pulled what seemed like a "cheap political stunt that kind of backfired and shows that our voting system actually works because you were ultimately caught."

Indeed. And it isn't the first time something like this has happened.

In November 2020, the Trump campaign highlighted a case in which a ballot was cast in the name of a long-dead Pennsylvania woman. Her son later pleaded guilty to casting that ballot for Trump, saying, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer, he had "listened to too much propaganda and made a stupid mistake.""

In October Hartle said he looked forward to being in court to respond to the two felony charges against him for voting fraud.

    He pleaded guilty.

He was facing 8 years in prison for the felony charges.

He received a misdemeamor, no prison time, a $2000 fine, and a year probation.

Hartle is the CFO of a business that was fined twice for violating COVID restrictions while hosting Trump's rallies.

He's all for Trump, even committing voting fraud using his dead wife's name.

    Just a quick question...

Had this guy voted twice for a Democrat, what would his sentence be?

    Asking for a friend...

Judge Calls Vegas Man's Voter Fraud Claim 'a Cheap Political Stunt' That Backfired

Judge calls Vegas man's voter fraud claim "a cheap political stunt" that backfired

    excerpt:

"On Tuesday, Clark County District Court Judge Carli Kierny said a Las Vegas man's claim of voter fraud is "a cheap political stunt" that backfired.

Donald "Kirk" Hartle admitted that he voted twice in November 2020 in a case that Republicans used to allege voter irregularities, The Associated Press reported. Hartle appeared by videoconference from his defense attorney's office to plead guilty to a misdemeanor of voting more than once in the same election. He told Kierny he regrets his actions and accepted full responsibility for them.

David Chesnoff, Hartle's attorney, stopped Hartle from describing publicly how he voted early with a ballot mailed to his dead wife. Rosemarie Hartle died in 2017 but her name stayed on the voter rolls.

State Attorney General Aaron Ford's office agreed to reduce two felony charges against Hartle to the misdemeanor, Chesnoff told the judge.

Kierny accepted the deal but was unhappy with it. Hartle was fined $2,000 and has to stay out of trouble for a year. The judge set Nov. 17, 2022, as a date to review the result.

"This seems to me to be a cheap political stunt that kind of backfired," Kierny said, "and shows that our voting system actually works because you were ultimately caught."

"Not to follow the negotiations would be a political stunt of my own and I am not willing to do that," she said.

Hartle, 55, is a chief financial officer for companies owned by Republican party finance chairman Donald Ahern. If convicted of the two felonies, he could have received up to eight years in prison."

The GOP in WI was quiet about the nursing home issue until Trump lost in 2020.

Now, 20 months after the decision, they are claiming it was a felony.

Wisconsin Republicans Push to Take Over the State's Elections

    excerpt:

"Republicans have seized in particular on a March 2020 commission vote lifting a rule that required special voting deputies — trained and dispatched by municipal clerks’ offices — to visit nursing homes twice before issuing absentee ballots to residents. The special voting deputies, like most other visitors, were barred from entering nursing homes early in the pandemic, and the commission reasoned that there was not enough time before the April primary election to require them to be turned away before mailing absentee ballots.

The vote was relatively uncontroversial at the time: No lawsuits from Republicans or anyone else challenged the guidance. The procedure remained in place for the general election in November.

But after Joe Biden won Wisconsin by 20,682 votes out of 3.3 million cast, Republicans began making evidence-free claims of fraudulent votes cast from nursing homes across the state. Sheriff Christopher Schmaling of Racine County said the five state election commissioners who had voted to allow clerks to mail absentee ballots to nursing homes without the visit by special voting deputies — as is prescribed by state law — should face felony charges for election fraud and misconduct in office.

Robin Vos, the Republican speaker of the state Assembly, who represents Racine County, quickly concurred, saying that the five commissioners — including his own appointee to the panel — should “probably” face felony charges."

Hartle is another instance of an accuser who turned out to be the perpetrator.

There were no mitigating circumstances for Hartle's voting fraud to justify a reduction of the two felonies to a misdemeanor. His actions were premeditated and brazen.

Hartle deliberately used his dead wife's name to vote twice for Trump.

In a public proclamation, he lied to people by saying that he was outraged that someone used his deceased wife's name to illegally vote (presumably a Democrat voting illegally for Biden).

Only half of Iowans think that the storming of the Capitol by Trump's mob was an insurrection.

Iowa Poll: Half of Iowans say Jan. 6 riot at U.S. Capitol was 'an insurrection and a threat to democracy'

    excerpt:

"Half of Iowans say the mob that stormed the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6 in an effort to derail the election certification process was an insurrection and a threat to democracy, a new Des Moines Register/Mediacom Iowa Poll shows.

That includes 93% of Democrats, 50% of independents and 20% of Republicans.

Another 22% of Iowans say the event was unfortunate, but it's in the past so there’s no need to worry about it anymore. And 18% say what happened was a political protest protected under the First Amendment. Five percent of Iowans say none of the options best reflects their views, and 4% are not sure."

Lindell plans to do a 96-hour Thanksgiving telethon.

Mike Lindell gives Supreme Court choice to 'pull down' or 'do a new election' in Thanksgiving lawsuit

    excerpt:

"Lindell told Bannon that the new lawsuit asks the Supreme Court to "pull down the election" or "do a new election without machines."

"The Supreme Court will have a lot of decisions to make," the pillow executive opined. "For 96 hours, we're going to take apart the case, we're going to do a state-by-state how did we get here?"

Bannon interrupted: "The machine guys are saying -- Dominion and [Smartmatic] -- are saying Mike Lindell's crazy. There's no evidence."

But Lindell insisted that his telethon would "absolutely" refute Dominion's claims."

And now, …. a word from our sponsor:
“More than half of registered voters — 53 percent — disapprove of the job Biden is doing in office, according to survey aggregates, with only 42 percent who say they are in favor of it.”
    Seems high, doesn’t it?
How’s it feel to be in the lower 42%?
