British mass media is becoming as biased as American, and the Guardian is past its prime. The sad truth is, half of Donald Duck's supporters still claim the sun revolves around the earth, and they've been rejecting their own government for half a century, while congress and the supreme court have shredded our constitution, rigged our elections, and encouraged everyone to argue over the definition of stupid, because money is the only thing doing any driving around here! Right over the nearest cliff, repeatedly, and we're all just waiting for the economy to collapse again.

Of course, the Guardian is much too responsible to inspire fear, loathing, and panic in Wall Street's ability to contain the situation.

    Article from September 2020.

Trump could have at least waited until the body had cooled.

Kayleigh McEnany says Trump ‘very likely’ will nominate new Supreme Court Justice before Ruth Bader Ginsburg is buried

    excerpt:

"White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany says President Donald Trump will announce his nominee to the U.S. Supreme Court, mostly likely by Tuesday. The late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg will lie in repose at the Supreme Court. The date of her funeral, which will be a private ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery, has not even been announced yet.

Asked if the nomination would be announced "before Wednesday," she replied, "I think that's very likely.""

Trump in sentence fragments tried to say that there would be a peaceful continuation of his administration if he can get rid of the ballots.

"Unthinkable": Trump refuses to commit to peaceful transfer of power

    excerpt:

"Trump continued to push debunked conspiracy theories about voting by mail to sow doubt in the election during a news conference at the White House before suggesting that if we "get rid" of mail-in ballots there would not be a transfer of power.

"Well, we're going to have to see what happens," Trump told reporters. "You know that I've been complaining very strongly about the ballots, and the ballots are a disaster.

"We'll want to have — get rid of the ballots, and you'll have a very — we'll have a very peaceful — there won't be a transfer, frankly," he added. "There'll be a continuation.""

The more dramatic Donald Duck gets, the higher Wall Street stock soars, and the faster the SHIT will hit the fan!

Virus will magically disappear after election: Trumpʼs son

    excerpt:

"US president Donald Trump's son Eric Trump declared that Covid-19 social distancing measures are part of a “cognizant strategy” for Democrats to win the 2020 Presidential election, and that the novel coronavirus will “magically” disappear after Nov. 3. In an interview with Fox News, the vice president of Trump organisation claimed that the social distancing measures were being used to thwart the president's election rallies and on voting. Trump declared that Democrats are “trying to milk” the pandemic by temporarily closing businesses and that they aim to undermine President Trump’s ability to win re-election.":

The U.S. COVID death toll recently surpassed three-quarters of a million people.

The toll was near 400,000 when Trump left office. Another 350,000 have died since he left office.

The coronavirus has been impacting the unvaccinated particularly hard, many of whom are supporters of Trump and his botched approach to addressing it.

At a rally in Alabama on August 2021, Trump encouraged people to vaccinate, to the chagrin of his supporters at the event.

Trump seems to have come to realize the magnitude of the problem in the context of losing his constituents by death if they don't change their behavior and do what Fauci advised.

Alabama population on course to shrink for first time ever as Covid takes toll

    excerpt:

"Alabama is shrinking under the onslaught of Covid-19, its chief medical officer said, as deaths in the state outnumber births for the very first time.

Speaking to reporters in Montgomery on Friday, Dr Scott Harris said: “Here in Alabama, we continue to see deaths at a really high rate … 2020 is going to be the first year that we know of in the history of our state where we actually had more deaths than births.

“Our state literally shrunk in 2020, based on the numbers that we have managed to put together, and actually by quite a bit.”

Harris said Alabama had recorded a preliminary total of 64,714 deaths in 2020, compared with 57,641 births.

“We have data going back to the first decade of the 20th century, so more than 100 years, and that’s never happened before, nor has it ever even been close before. In world war two or during the flu pandemic of 1918, or world war one, we’ve never had a time where deaths exceed births until this past year.

“It’s certainly possible that could happen this year as well if we continue in the same rate that we’re seeing now.”"

In spite of that, 75% of Republicans think Fauci should resign.

Poll: Majority of voters say Fauci should resign

Alabama is a truck stop with live music. Their population goes up and down along with the traffic. They'll probably have to replace half the state troopers.

The case in Michigan is similar to the one in Colorado that involved Tina Peters who has been immersed in Trump's stolen election narrative.

Pro-QAnon Voting Clerk Under Investigation After Voting Equipment Goes Missing

    excerpt:

"A key piece of voting equipment has gone missing while under the supervision of a pro-QAnon clerk, prompting a Michigan State Police investigation.

The equipment’s disappearance came after a week of controversy for Stephanie Scott, a clerk in rural Adams Township who has clashed with Michigan’s Secretary of State over Scott’s bogus election fraud claims. It also marks the second time a piece of elections equipment under the control of a QAnon-tied elections official has been compromised.

Ahead of a special election on Tuesday, Scott refused to allow maintenance to be carried out on voting equipment. Instead, Scott told Michigan news site Bridge Michigan that she wanted to preserve data on the machines from previous elections—an apparent reference to the false idea that voting machines have been used to steal elections. That prompted Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson to revoke Scott’s ability to run the upcoming election, putting Hillsdale County Clerk Marney Kast, a fellow Republican, in her place.

But when Kast and her team arrived in Adams Township to inspect the voting equipment, they found a surprise. During the inspection, officials discovered that the voting machine’s tablet—a key part of its operations—was gone. Michigan State Police launched an investigation Thursday to uncover who took the tablet.

It’s not clear who took the tablet, and Scott didn’t respond to a request for comment. A spokesperson for Benson declined to comment on the ongoing tablet investigation."

Pro-QAnon Voting Clerk Under Investigation After Voting Equipment Goes Missing

    excerpt:

"But in remarks to Bridge Michigan made before the missing equipment was noticed, Scott seemed focused on protecting the equipment from other election officials.

“The county clerk’s office and now Secretary of State are demanding I drop off my machine for unfettered access, and God only knows doing what to it,” Scott told the publication. “When you have the fox guarding the henhouse, somebody’s got to stand up and guard those hens.”"

Consider election boards and other election-sensitive offices across the country that are eventually infiltrated with people like Stephanie Scott and Tina Peters who a year after the 2020 election are still in a stupor over Trump's stolen election narrative.

When your supposedly "political" party consists of a lynch mob, there's no point in having personal opinions about breaking the law.

Sometimes I feel like someone is using colloquial terminology but they have the roles reversed... on purpose? Maybe... but I'll leave the theoretical stuff to followers of Q-Anon. :rolleyes:o_O:eek:

'Red flags were everywhere': Bombshell report finds the Trump administration ignored warnings of 1/6 violence

    excerpt:

"A new report from the Washington Post published on Sunday detailed a deep dive into the extensive warnings the federal government received of potential violence and efforts to interfere with Congress's counting of the Electoral College votes on Jan. 6. Despite this ample foreshadowing, the administration and law enforcement agencies were still unable or unwilling to prepare adequate defenses to keep the mob from storming the Capitol that day.

The FBI, in particular, comes off looking inept — if not driven by politically inspired cowardice or indifference.

"The FBI received numerous warnings about Jan. 6 but felt many of the threatening statements were 'aspirational' and could not be pursued," the report found. "In one tip on Dec. 20, a caller told the bureau that Trump supporters were making plans online for violence against lawmakers in Washington, including a threat against Sen. Mitt Romney (R-Utah). The agency concluded the information did not merit further investigation and closed the case within 48 hours."

Donell Harvin, the head of intelligence at the homeland security office in Washington, D.C., did raise the alarm, according to the report. It explained how he "organized an unusual call for all of the nation's regional homeland security offices" — a call joined by hundreds of officials sharing their concerns. They were reportedly warning of an attack on Jan. 6 at 1 p.m. at the U.S. Capitol, just when the insurrection occurred. The planning was happening all over social media, after all — inspired by then-President Donald Trump's own tweets and rhetoric. Harvin reached out to the FBI and other agencies to warn them of what was coming, the report found.

He feared a "mass casualty event," according to the Post."

'Red flags were everywhere': Bombshell report finds the Trump administration ignored warnings of 1/6 violence

    excerpt:

""While the public may have been surprised by what happened on Jan. 6, the makings of the insurrection had been spotted at every level, from one side of the country to the other," it said. "The red flags were everywhere."

Despite specific warnings of the exact nature of the attack that was coming — the planning of which would certainly be illegal — it appears the FBI limited itself for fear of infringing on First Amendment-protected activity. The Post also suggested that FBI Director Christopher Wray, who was often under fire from Trump, feared angering the man who appointed him by speaking out about the potential for violence."
