Citizen investigators assisted the FBI in identifying and arresting Purse.

He Dressed As Press To Storm The Capitol. Now We Know He Runs A White Nationalist Website. - News Concerns

    excerpt:

"By May, the sleuths had collected evidence showing that “Marc” or “Mr. Extra Creepy” was really Purse, who public records show has mostly resided in Arizona and Florida, but now lives in southern California. He enlisted in the Navy in 1995 and served two years as a Damage Controlman Fireman Apprentice, a Navy spokesperson told HuffPost, receiving the National Defense Service Medal. The Navy spokesperson would not disclose the circumstances of his separation from the military.

In 2009 he was arrested and eventually pleaded guilty to federal charges of conspiracy, mail fraud, copyright infringement and forfeiture, according to court records, after he and an accomplice were caught selling $500,000 worth of counterfeit software.

He was arrested again this past July on federal charges related to his joining the mob that invaded the Capitol."

He Dressed As Press To Storm The Capitol. Now We Know He Runs A White Nationalist Website. - News Concerns

    excerpt:

"Television viewers across the world saw Purse’s zealotry that day. On Al Jazeera Balkans, he led a pack of Trump supporters as they charged into the part of the Capitol lawn designated for media, immediately harassing reporters. “This is the lying press!” Purse yelled into the Al Jazeera camera as the correspondent struggled to continue his broadcast.

In Denmark, viewers could see him heckle Danish Broadcasting Channel reporter Lillian Kretz. “Sorry, sir, I’m trying to do my job,” Kretz pleaded with Purse, attempting to calm him down.

“Well, you know what? I’m trying to do my job too,” Purse responded. “You know what part of my job is? Getting in your face!”

And in Israel, viewers could see Purse barge in front of the camera while harassing Channel 13 reporter Gil Tamary. “I’m gonna get in your face now and I’ll tell you why, yid,” Purse said, using a slur for Jew.

“What is a goy?” Purse continued, using a Hebrew term for a non-Jewish person that in recent years has been appropriated by white supremacists as a way of self-identifying.

When Tamary replied that he didn’t know what a goy was, Purse grew angrier, calling him a “lying Israeli” who was “playing the pilpul game.” The term “pilpul,” which refers a method of studying Jewish religious texts, has also been appropriated by anti-Semites as a way of referring to Jews as deceitful or conniving."

Purse certainly doesn't sound like Antifa, whom Trump supporters have accused of starting the riot and participating in it.

‘Almost schizophrenic’: Judge rips DOJ approach to Jan. 6 prosecutions

    excerpt:

“The rioters attacking the Capitol on Jan. 6 were not mere trespassers engaging in protected First Amendment conduct or protests,” Howell added. “They were not merely disorderly, as countless videos show the mob that attacked the Capitol was violent. Everyone participating in the mob contributed to that violence.”

Jack Jesse Griffith: Tennessee man sentenced for role in Capitol riot

    excerpt:

"Tennessee man Jack Jesse Griffith was sentenced to three years of probation, including 90 days of home detention, by a federal judge on Thursday for his role in the U.S. Capitol riot on Jan. 6.

Griffith, 26, of Gallatin, must also pay a $500 restitution to the United States. He was arrested Jan. 16 in Gallatin and appeared in person before Chief Judge Beryl A. Howell on Thursday morning.

Griffith is one of 18 people with Tennessee connections arrested in the Jan. 6 riot. In July, he pleaded guilty to one misdemeanor count of parading, demonstrating or picketing inside the Capitol. As a result of a plea agreement, the government dismissed four other misdemeanor charges he faced in connection with the riot."

Trump to do a tele-rally for candidate Youngkin who has been avoiding being seen with Trump in person during the campaign for VA governor.

Trump plans tele-rally to support Republican Youngkin’s governor bid

    excerpt:

"Biden at that event goaded the Republicans over Trump's absence from the state.
"Think about it: He won't allow Donald Trump to campaign for him in this state," Biden said of Youngkin. "Is there a problem with Trump being here? Is he embarrassed?""

Former lawmakers urge court to reject Trump effort to stymie Jan. 6 committee

    excerpt:

"Sixty-six former lawmakers, including two dozen Republicans, have signed on to a legal brief urging a federal judge to reject former President Donald Trump’s effort to block Jan. 6 investigators from accessing his White House’s records.

The brief, which is slated to hit the docket in the D.C. federal District Court on Friday, contends that no possible argument about executive privilege could overcome Congress’ need for documents to probe the violent attack on the Capitol — one fueled by Trump’s false claim that the 2020 election was stolen.

“From what is publicly known, it is clear that Donald Trump played an outsized — and likely central — role in orchestrating the events that gave rise to the January 6th attack,” the lawmakers say in the 21-page brief, signed by 24 Republicans and 42 Democrats. “And many, and perhaps most, of the various means he used or contemplated are documented in the records the Committee seeks and are still not known.”

Though many of the lawmakers who signed the brief retired long before Trump’s tenure in office, the signatories include Carlos Curbelo (R-Fla.), who lost reelection in 2018 and had been an outspoken Trump critic. They also include Reid Ribble, the Wisconsin Republican who announced his retirement amid Trump’s 2016 campaign for office, and Charles Boustany, the Louisiana Republican defeated in a Senate bid the same year."

Conservative Pundit Points Out Where Real Blame For GOP’s ‘Descent Into Madness’ Lies

    excerpt:

"Conservative commentator Max Boot pinned the blame for the GOP’s “descent into madness and sedition” firmly on its leadership “or lack thereof” in his latest column for The Washington Post.

Boot torched prominent Donald Trump-adoring Republicans — including House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (Calif.), Texas Gov. Greg Abbott and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis — as “unprincipled opportunists” who have embraced the “lunatic fringe” of their party and allowed it to “be captured by the crazies.”

“In the past, Republican leaders stood up to the zealots in their midst. Today, they stoke the flames of extremism — and wonder why they keep getting burned,” wrote Boot, who left the GOP in 2016 in protest of Trump.

“Mock the Republican grassroots all you like. But the real problem is the complete abdication of responsibility by Republican leaders,” Boot wrote.

“Rather than trying to restrain the zeal of their most fanatical followers, they are amplifying it,” he said. “Blame the party’s elites, not its rank and file, for its descent into madness and sedition.”"

You can bet your ass the CIA is paying close attention to the Justice Dept and the judges. Somebody around here has to keep their shit together, and its definitely not the American people, Donald Duck, or the democrats who are still holding the country together. If you want rule of law these days, you need people who are above the fucking law owned by Wall Street and the mindless mob.

U.S Rep. Kinzinger of Illinois has decided that he won't run for reelection.

He has been a vocal critic of Trump and is a member of the Jan. 6 select committee.

GOP Rep. Adam Kinzinger not running for reelection: ‘This isn’t the end of my political future, but the beginning"

    excerpt:

"WASHINGTON — Rep. Adam Kinzinger, the Illinois Republican who has made a crusade against Trumpism and is one of two GOP House members on the Jan. 6 investigation committee, announced Friday he will not seek another term.

“I want to make it clear. This isn’t the end of my political future, but the beginning,” Kinzinger said in a video released Friday titled “The Next Chapter.”

Instead, he will use his national platform to try to reclaim the Republican Party, now under the iron grip of former President Donald Trump and his lies, conspiracy theories and attacks on political norms. He voted to impeach Trump after the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol."

The act of Boot leaving the GOP in frustration, along with other members of the GOP, leaves a void that can be filled by Trump's fringe elements. It can be argued that he contributed to the demise of the GOP that he cites.

GOP Rep. Adam Kinzinger not running for reelection: ‘This isn’t the end of my political future, but the beginning"

    excerpt:

"Kinzinger said in the video, “America is facing an incredibly perilous time. I have always been optimistic, looking to our history to show how we would overcome any obstacle. In bad moments, someone has always stepped up to lead. Government for, of, and by the people always prevails. Right now, that government is the problem. And few have risen to do anything about it, because in this day to prevail or survive you must belong to a tribe.

“I’ve witnessed how division is so heavily rooted in this country. There’s little to no desire to bridge our differences, and unity is no longer a word we use. It has also become increasingly obvious that in order to break the narrative, I cannot focus on both a reelection to Congress and a broader fight nationwide."

Trump said he would unite the country.

Op-Ed: Trump says he’ll unite the country. Yeah, right

Op-Ed: Trump says he'll unite the country. Yeah, right

    excerpt:

"There’s an almost literary quality to Trump’s insecurities; he craves respect more than almost anything else and yet respect remains agonizingly elusive — in part because he takes everything too personally.

The presidency, normally a job for people with thick skins and a nose for insincere flattery, promises to only heighten Trump’s sense of entitlement to respect and exacerbate his inevitable resentment when he doesn’t receive it. So we’ll continue on divided, angry and untrusting."

I'm waiting for the GOP to declare the Tea Party traitors. Right after they beg democrats to tar and feather them, set them on fire, and push them in the Boston harbor. Casual wear is suggested, Big Macs will be served, and the fireworks will begin right after the ceremony.
