Hey CandyGal! Nice day for flying a kite over there! Stay warm!

Miles Davis, eh? Saw him live in college back in '71. A brilliant artist indeed!

Here are the local weather headlines:

About 570,000 homes and businesses in New England were without power early Wednesday as a powerful nor'easter continued to batter the East Coast.

About 480,076 of the outages were in Massachusetts, the state’s Emergency Management Agency said just before 1 p.m.

And more than 93,000 customers in Connecticut and Rhode Island were without power, according to PowerOutage.US, as the National Weather Service in Boston warned of a "dangerous situation" near and southeast of I-95, the East Coast's main highway.

“Winds gusting over hurricane force across southeast Massachusetts. Numerous downed trees,” “TRAVEL IS NOT RECOMMENDED early this morning in southeast MA.”

    Highest wind gusts:

    94 mph Vineyard Haven
    87 mph Scituate
    84 mph Duxbury
    83 mph Wellfleet
    82 mph Dennis
    80 mph Truro

    The wind was unrelenting

If we had astronomically high tides or for that matter normal high tides instead of astronomically low tides, there would have been catastrophic damage
with hundreds of homes along the shoreline completely destroyed

Fall weather had arrived. Running and seeing all the trees changing keeps it interesting to be outside :)

Yes the weather does get more intense ...

I also think the weather spokespeople get together and say
“There there is a group of storms coming in , this is our news moment ! Let’s name the storms something like ....’a parade of cyclone bomb storms moving at a rapid pace’ yes yes and maybe we can even break into their favorite programs and radio to relay the weather news of these satanic horn blowing storms brewing “
“Ohh wow bob you will make the news chair someday with these titles.”
