Cyber Ninjas is behaving similar to Tina Peter in CO. Both don't have evidence of significant fraud but are throwing dog bones to Trump's supporters and to themselves to try to save face.

Peters' story has an added dimension. She is subject to being charged with criminal offenses for her involvement in election-related information being stolen. The report she published (at a church) looks like an attempt to defend her actions by claiming that there really was fraud in Mesa County.

The deputy of Peters has already been arrested.

Warnock who won the special election the day before Trump's riot at the Capitol and returned control of the Senate to Democrats. Mitch McConnell believes Trump's hold on the Republican Party is slowly fading while his hold on his base is fading faster. There is nothing he'd like more than for Trump to go away altogether, but for now Trump's grip is still strong and The GOP still has to tow his line.

Judge slams Gov. Abbott "shamelessly taking his orders" from Trump on Texas election audits

"Following the announcement, some Texas county judges expressed frustration, saying they do not know what the audits entail and that they learned about them through a press release from the office of the secretary of state, The Texas Tribune reported.

"This is a weak Governor openly and shamelessly taking his orders from a disgraced former President. Governor Abbott is wasting taxpayer funds to trample on Texans' freedom to vote, all in order to appease his puppeteer," Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins, a Democrat, told the Tribune.

Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo, a Democrat, also criticized the audit as "politically motivated," telling the Tribune: "Every time we engage in a conversation about these false allegations, we're lending credence to the lie."

Tarrant County Judge Glen Whitley, a Republican, also told the same outlet "it's time to move on," criticizing "conspiracy theorists who want to come up with all these ways" to doubt the election results.

Biden easily won Dallas County with 65 percent of the vote and Harris County with 56 percent. He flipped Tarrant County, winning 49.3 percent to Trump's 49.1 percent. Trump won Collin County with over 51 percent of the vote."

 

Biden flipping Tarrant County is making the GOP nervous. The last time Tarrant went to a Democratic presidential candidate was Lyndon B. Johnson, and he was a native Texan and the 1964 election was in the wake of Kennedy's assassination..

Abbott is auditing Tarrant and trying to 'find' for Trump 0.2% of the votes, the margin by which Biden beat Trump, to psychologically please Trump. It's another potential excuse to implement more restrictions to voting in the hope that it disenfranchises Democrats more than Republicans to eke GOP wins next time in counties like Tarrant.

Those are cheapskate approaches that may temporarily impede the voting effects of the general demographic trends in Texas (and other states like AZ and GA) that aren't going the way of the GOP. It doesn't seem like a sustainable plan.
