Michael Cohen's assessments a couple years ago seem to have been accurate. The Trump Organization people he anticipated being charged have been indicted (Weisseberg) or are ongoing suspects (Calamari).

Trump Org Prosecutors Find New Evidence—in a Basement

    excerpt:

"Prosecutors have discovered a tranche of evidence in the basement of a co-conspirator in the Trump Organization tax fraud case, a defense lawyer for indicted chief financial officer Allen Weisselberg revealed in court on Monday, with the attorney also signaling that more shoes are yet to drop in New York’s ongoing investigation.

“We have strong reason to believe there could be other indictments coming,” Weisselberg’s lawyer, Bryan C. Skarlatos, said in Manhattan criminal court on Monday.

Skarlatos also referenced a private conversation that Weisselberg—along with his defense lawyers and prosecutors—had with the judge before proceedings were open to the public, revealing that prosecutors had discovered tax documents related to Donald Trump’s company in the basement of an unnamed co-conspirator.

It’s unclear who that co-conspirator might be, but according to two sources close to the investigation, prosecutors have been more closely scrutinizing Matthew Calamari, a Trump bodyguard who rose through the ranks to become the company’s chief operating officer. Others have theorized that it might be Jeff McConney, the company comptroller who has long served as Weisselberg’s deputy—and who has already testified before the grand jury."

The Trump Organization is back in court fighting fraud charges.

The Trump Organization Is Back In Court To Fight Tax Fraud Charges In New York

    excerpt:

"With multiple investigations still underway, attorneys involved with the tax fraud case against former President Donald Trump's family business and its longtime chief financial officer, Allen Weisselberg, returned to court Monday for a hearing in New York City.

Their appearance at the New York state Supreme Court in Manhattan came almost three months after Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance Jr. unsealed a bevy of criminal charges that alleged the Trump Organization and Weisselberg took part in a more than 15-year scheme to defraud taxpayers by paying company executives with untaxed benefits.

The Trump Organization and Weisselberg, who has been employed by the Trump family since 1973, have pleaded not guilty to the allegations. The former president has said the case is politically motivated."

Trump, who has said repeatedly in the past that he knows more about taxes than anyone, downplayed the Vance investigation and asked his followers at a rally if anyone knows if the Trump Organization did something illegal by avoiding paying taxes by paying people with fringe benefits. "Does anyone know?", asked Trump.

Graham wants all the financial and rebel-rousing benefits of Trump but without the problems caused by his demented behavior, such as the insurrection at the Capitol.

After the riot, Graham said 'count me out' but later visited Trump at Mar-a-Lago.

It's akin to the political cartoon that shows Trump on a liquor bottle with a Republican taking another swig while saying, "I can quit anytime I want."

Lindsey Graham and Mike Lee personally vetted Trump’s fraud claims, new book says. They were unpersuaded.

    excerpt:

"But it wasn’t until after a pro-Trump mob ransacked the Capitol that Graham, speaking on the Senate floor, said, “Count me out. Enough is enough. I’ve tried to be helpful.”

He has since tacked back, visiting Trump at Mar-a-Lago, speaking to him regularly and saying the GOP “can’t grow” without the former president. Still, he has continued to deliver criticism directly to Trump, according to the book. In a phone call this summer, he bemoaned Trump’s volatility and focus on voter fraud, telling the former president, “You f---ed your presidency up.” Trump abruptly hung up on him. A spokesman for Graham declined to comment."

The best way to fix Haiti is simple. We should round up all the Republicans and send them over so they can teach the Haitians how to live in a capitalist system and be self sufficient.

Republicans are taking a lesson from televangelism and reality TV. The Tea Party can be considered a disposable party, a throwaway bogus political party, that can easily be replaced by merely tweaking their rhetoric. A Kinder-Gentler republican party, will inevitably produce another Tea Party, because they organize like chickens. They have no choice, but to attack the government, because cooperation is a foreign concept, and their entire culture and teachers enforce that it remain foreign.

Trump $100 million loan on watch list.

Trump Tower debt added to watch list as vacancies rise

    excerpt:

"A $100 million loan on Trump Tower in midtown Manhattan was placed on a watch list Monday as vacancies in the building increase.

Occupancy has decreased to 78.9 percent from 85.9 percent at the end of 2020, Bloomberg News reported, citing Wells Fargo, the master servicer of the loan.

The loan was ultimately moved to the list because of “lower average occupancy,” according to information from Wells Fargo.

The Manhattan property had $7.5 million in revenue during the first quarter of 2021, according to loan documents. For last year as a whole, revenue was $33.7 million.

The debt — which is secured by 244,482 square feet of office and retail space in Trump Tower — is sponsored by former President Trump, according to Bloomberg.

The loan is set to mature next year, according to Bloomberg. It is reportedly part of the more than $590 million in debt that the Trump Organization has that is due within the next four years."

Trump isn't expected to obtain any help from his coal miners renting the increasingly vacant space.

LIST: Pennsylvanians, Midstate residents arrested for Jan 6. Capitol riots

    excerpt:

"With 52 arrests thus far, Pennsylvania is ranked 3rd among the 50 states “in terms of the number of people accused of participating in the Jan 6. riot at the U.S. Capitol” behind Florida and Texas. This number reflects the number of arrests made in the state, not the number of individuals from Pennsylvania arrested

In those arrests, there are quite a few Midstate residents. Check out, by county, which Central Pa. residents and which Pennsylvanians state-wide have been arrested so far and on what charges."

Memo shows Trump lawyer's six-step plan for Pence to overturn the election - CNNPolitics

    excerpt:

"The scheme put forward by controversial lawyer John Eastman was outlined in a two-page memo obtained by the authors for "Peril," and which was subsequently obtained by CNN. The memo, which has not previously been made public, provides new detail showing how Trump and his team tried to persuade Pence to subvert the Constitution and throw out the election results on January 6.

The effort to sway Pence was just one of several behind-the-scenes attempts that Trump's team undertook ahead of January 6 in a desperate bid to overturn the 2020 election loss, after dozens of lawsuits were thrown out of the courts. "Peril," which will be released Tuesday, details how Eastman's memo was sent to GOP Sen. Mike Lee of Utah and how Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani tried to convince fellow Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina of election fraud. But both Lee and Graham scoffed at the arguments and found they had no merit.

"You might as well make your case to Queen Elizabeth II. Congress can't do this. You're wasting your time," Lee said to Trump's lawyers trying to overturn the results in Georgia, according to the book."

"Justice for J6" rallygoers slam Republican absence after organizer said some would speak

    excerpt:

""It's going to be huge... We're going to push back against the phony narrative that there was an insurrection," Braynard said in a July 30 interview with the right-leaning media outlet Real America's Voice. "We're going to have some very high-profile speakers there. We're going to have members of Congress speak."

No congressional lawmakers spoke at the Saturday rally. Three House Republican candidates—Joe Kent of Washington state, Mike Collins of Georgia, and Jeff Zink of Arizona—spoke at the event, Spectrum News reported. None of them are elected officials."

Mike Lee is the person Trump dialed in error when trying to reach former football coach Tommy Tuberville during the Capitol riot.

How President Trump misdialed Utah Sen. Mike Lee while the Capitol was under siege

    excerpt:

"With a mob of election protesters laying siege to the U.S. Capitol, Sen. Mike Lee had just ended a prayer with some of his colleagues in the Senate chamber when his cellphone rang.

Caller ID showed the call originated from the White House. Lee thought it might be national security adviser Robert O’Brien, with whom he’d been playing phone tag on an unrelated issue. It wasn’t O’Brien. It was President Donald Trump.

“How’s it going, Tommy?” the president asked.

Taken a little aback, Lee said this isn’t Tommy.

“Well, who is this? Trump asked. “It’s Mike Lee,” the senator replied. “Oh, hi Mike. I called Tommy.”

Lee told the Deseret News he realized Trump was trying to call Sen. Tommy Tuberville, the newly elected Republican from Alabama and former Auburn University football coach. Lee walked his phone over to Tuberville who was talking to some colleagues.

“Hey, Tommy, I hate to interrupt but the president wants to speak with you,” Lee said.

Tuberville and Trump talked for about five to 10 minutes, Lee said, adding that he stood nearby because he didn’t want to lose his cellphone in the commotion. The two were still talking when panicked police ordered the Capitol to be evacuated because people had breached security.

As police were getting anxious for senators to leave, Lee walked over to retrieve his phone.

“I don’t want to interrupt your call with the president, but we’re being evacuated and I need my phone,” he said.

Tuberville said, “OK, Mr. President. I gotta go.”"

How President Trump misdialed Utah Sen. Mike Lee while the Capitol was under siege

    excerpt:

"Rep. Blake Moore, R-Utah, said he could see the crowd rising outside the Capitol through a House chamber window.

“It starts to get a little bit more loud and you start hearing, I guess they were pipe bombs, but you hear things going off. It seems like, ‘OK, it’s getting a little bit closer,’” he said Thursday on KSL Newsradio’s “Dave and Dujanovic.”

As he listened to the debate, he saw security lock down the double doors to the chamber. He said he received text messages from his staff that there had been a breach. Moore said some of his colleagues barricaded the door.

“I think the most eerie time was when you started hearing banging on the House chamber doors. They were literally just right outside and you could hear them banging on it. That’s when they told us to get our gas masks,” he said.

At that point, police evacuated the chamber."

How President Trump misdialed Utah Sen. Mike Lee while the Capitol was under siege

    excerpt:

"Moore said he saw images of protesters on Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s seat while he was still in the House.

“We thought if they can get there, they can get in here, so we all rushed out,” he said. “We just had to barricade ourselves into each of the offices.”

Lee said he heard yelling and some of his colleagues heard shots fired outside the Senate chamber. Police ordered them to stay at their desks.

“People were a little bit scared, but everybody had their game-day face on,” he recalled.

Lee said the 100 senators were eventually escorted through tunnels to Room 216 in the Hart Building, the largest Senate hearing room. He saw a parliamentarian carrying boxes of electoral votes submitted by the states."

Quick thinking by a lady to take the mahogany boxes that contained all of the electoral vote results before Trump's rioters could take them.

The women who saved the boxes of electoral votes during a riot in the Capitol

Senate aides rescued boxes containing the electoral votes as a mob besieged the Capitol. Without them, Congress may not have been able to affirm Biden's win as quickly.
