Trump is still claiming fraud after all this time.

I can't imagine anyone so fucked in the head they can't accept the results of an election 10 months after the fact

Wonder if the republicans are going to hold another rally in DC (as pathetic as this recent one, was) on Nov 3rd.

I just saw an article which told Trump is purging the Republican Party. I said five years ago that he would ruin the Republican Party. Now I don't see how they will recover from all the Trump damage. Here in North Dakota there are lots of Republicans. Half of them are very nice but the other half are under the influence of constant Evangelical Christian radio programs. Trump still has support here.

Trump will claim that until the end of time. I hope they do have more fizzled-out rallies so that I can just laugh and shake my head.

Trump says US a 'cesspool of humanity' amid border crisis

Former President Donald Trump said the country is becoming a “cesspool of humanity” as the Biden administration scrambles to handle the more than 14,000 mainly Haitian migrants living in a makeshift camp under a bridge in Texas.

“The largest number of illegal aliens in the history of our Country are pouring in by the millions. They are totally unchecked and unvetted, can do whatever they want, and go wherever they want,” Trump said in an emailed statement on Sunday.

Gov. Abbott signs nearly $2 billion border security bill funding Texas border wall construction

FORT WORTH — Gov. Greg Abbott signed a bill into law Friday that provides nearly $2 billion in additional funds to increase immigration jail capacity and to build Texas’ version of a border wall with Mexico.

The $1.8 billion bill will nearly triple what Texas spends on border security over the next two years, which Abbott said is necessary due to what he described as failed policies by the federal government.

“These funds are needed because the Biden administration’s open border policies have opened the floodgates to illegal immigration, to crime, to human trafficking, to drug smuggling,” he said.

Anti-Trump group TV ad blasting Texas Gov. Greg Abbott pulled before start of UT-Rice football game

A national television ad blasting Texas Gov. Greg Abbott’s handling of the coronavirus pandemic that was slated to air during Saturday’s University of Texas vs. Rice University football game was pulled minutes before the contest started, according to the group that produced the television spot.

Members of the Lincoln Project, a group of former and current members of the Republican Party who resist the policies of former President Donald Trump, are asking why the ad they produced and paid for didn’t air. The $25,000 spot was approved by ESPN’s legal department, a Lincoln Project spokesman said.

I would think it's occurred to people that the reason the results have yet to be issued is because Cyber-Ninjas calculated the totals months ago and found that Biden won the election. Naturally, this is not the desired outcome of an audit financed by conservatives, pushed for by Republican lawmakers, and tainted by the executive of the company being squarely in the 'Stop the Steal' camp before his company even got the job.

So, we have all these delays, Covid cases springing up among Cyber-Ninja employees & a myriad of procedural problems. Presumably, all this will last until the company comes up with the result the audit was designed to produce in the first place.

When (and if) the news of Trump's miraculous victory is announced, the millions of Trump supporters will take the crooked, totally irregular and disputed methods used by Cyber-Ninjas, and tell us:

See? Trump won! We knew it all along!

Horse Shit. They can not go where they want, or do as they wish, as your Trump tripe-ed out. And they cannot vote as your FOX news radio talk show assholes claim. Biden just put a big bunch of the on a plane to be sent back to Haiti.

Arizona ballot review: Maricopa County and Arizona GOP-led Senate reach agreement after months of partisan sparring

Arizona's Maricopa County and the Republican-controlled state Senate have reached an agreement after a months-long dispute relating to a problem-plagued, partisan review of 2020 ballots. The local government had refused to hand over electronic voting equipment logs related to the November 2020 election.

The state Senate has been sparring with Maricopa County officials who didn't comply with subpoenas to release certain information related its voting system following the presidential election.

    Not yet,

Biden administration to aid in deportation of Haitians amid Texas border chaos

The Biden administration is planning to send thousands of migrants who have gathered under a bridge near a Texas border crossing back to their home nation of Haiti beginning Sunday, the Associated Press reported Friday night.

The AP cited an official who said that between five and eight flights per day would depart from various cities in an effort to relieve the pressure on local and federal officials in the city of Del Rio. It was not immediately clear which cities would be used for the departure flights.

In a time when Joe Biden's approval ratings are at their lowest, Trump still can't drum up the kind of support he used to have. Republican voters want someone besides Biden, but not Trump, as more and more of them realize his time has come and gone. Sadly for them, Trump won't realize it, or at least acknowledge it and step aside to let the GOP regroup. He's obsessed with the Presidency he lost and as long as he retains his grip on the party he will try to get it back, no matter how long the odds.

Yes Trump needs to back off. Feuding with McConnell will only lose him more support among Republicans. It will also create further divisions in the party, which they can't afford.

Seems Trump is trying to purge the GOP of those who don't fully support him. In the end he's the one who will be purged.

Charting a decade of US coal company bankruptcies and plant retirements

The past decade has seen more than 50 US coal companies fall into bankruptcy and over 100 gigawatts (GW) of coal capacity either retired or slated for closure.

This comes as a drop in natural gas prices and a surge in renewables has inflicted a devastating blow on the fossil fuel’s future.

Data from the US Energy Information Administration (EIA) shows that between 2010 and the first quarter of 2019, US power firms announced the retirement of more than 546 coal-fired power units — representing about 102GW of generating capacity and roughly a third of the coal fleet that was operating in 2010.

Following a drop in demand for the fuel, the number of coal mines plummeted from 1,435 in 2008 to 671 mines in 2017, according to the EIA.

Dennis Wamsted, an analyst at the US-based Institute for Energy Economics and Financial Analysis (IEEFA), said coal’s importance will “continue to decline, as market erosion gains momentum across the industry”.

“Short-term economic uncertainty caused by the coronavirus pandemic and the recent collapse in oil prices may slow the transition slightly — but the trend is clear, coal is being driven to the brink by continued low gas prices and steady additions of wind and solar,” he added.

Trump needs to remain relevant. Let’s see if he can do it for the next three years.
