In 2020 he lost Orange County by 9% and San Diego County by 23% (worse than his 2016 losses of 8% and 20%, respectively).

Arizona Supreme Court denies state Senate's appeal to avoid releasing election audit records

"The Arizona Supreme Court on Tuesday denied an attempt by the Republican-led state Senate to evade compliance with public records requests for documents related to its audit of the 2020 election in Maricopa County.

The court declined to overrule lower court decisions affirming the Senate's responsibility under state law to provide requested records and ordering the documents to be released to left-leaning watchdog group American Oversight. The ruling on Tuesday also dissolved a stay the high court issued on Aug. 24 that paused enforcement of the order demanding the records be released.

American Oversight sued the state Senate and Republican Senate President Karen Fann in May, seeking access to communications and other records between the Senate and Cyber Ninjas, the lead contractor overseeing the controversial audit."

 

The courts didn't agree with the GOP members of the AZ senate that the records shouldn't be allowed to go public because a private firm is involved in the audit.

Trump used a similar tactic by using his personal attorney Giuliani as an unofficial government agent and claiming attorney-client privilege gave him absolute privacy.

 

In 2018 four Orange County seats, which had been reliably red, flipped to blue. In 2020, 3 of the four flipped back to red.
In the recall, Newsom was winning those districts with more votes than he won with in 2018.

 

Newsom lost in the Central Valley, and in counties that border Oregon. Those counties want to secede from California.

Calls for Milley's ouster stem from a Washington Post article on Tuesday about two phone calls the general reportedly made to General Li Zuocheng of China on October 30, 2020, and January 8, 2021.

According to the article, Milley wanted to reassure Li that the U.S. was not going to attack China amid concerns about former President Donald Trump. He told Li he would inform him if there were to be an attack.
