Pennsylvania governor recalls nominee due to 'Donald Trump's fantasy' about 2020 voting irregularities

    excerpt:

"Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf said he would recall his Senate nomination for secretary of the commonwealth due to the "bad faith" actions by Republicans attempting to audit the 2020 presidential election results.

Wolf decided to pull Veronica Degraffenreid's nomination as a result of the Senate Republicans' "capitulat[ing] to Donald Trump's fantasy that the 2020 election experienced irregularities that changed the outcome in Pennsylvania," arguing the chamber is incapable of holding impartial hearings on the nominee.

"It is clear that instead of providing advice and consent on my nominee for Secretary of the Commonwealth, they instead plan on using her confirmation as an opportunity to descend further into conspiracy theories and work to please the former president [Donald Trump] by spreading lies about last year's election, instead of working together to address real issues facing Pennsylvanians," Wolf said in a statement on Monday."

LOL, I'm brain damaged, mentally deranged, and anyone I know will vouch for me. The only reason I'm good with words, is because I don't tell my words what to say.

Trump won NC and its 15 electoral votes by about 74,000 votes in the 2020 election, a margin similar to his loss in PA.

Democrats could counter his stolen election truther narratives by mounting a selective audit in NC that targets counties where Trump had a large win margin.

Former Trump advisers used private emails to warn of 'critical mistakes' in pandemic response

Former Trump advisers used private emails to warn of 'critical mistakes' in pandemic response

    excerpt:

"Steven Hatfill, a virologist who worked as an outside consultant for the administration, privately warned White House trade director Peter Navarro at the end of February 2020 that the U.S. did not have any accurate sense of just how many people were infected with the virus.

"In truth we do not have a clue how many are infected in the USA. We are expecting the first wave to spread in the US within the next 7 days," Hatfill wrote to Navarro on Feb. 29.

"This will be accompanied by a massive loss of credibility, and the Democratic accusations are just now beginning. This must be countered with frank honesty about the situation and decisive direct actions that are being taken and can be seen in the broadcast news.""

Former Trump advisers used private emails to warn of 'critical mistakes' in pandemic response

    excerpt:

"Hatfill also recommended the administration use the National Guard to assist overwhelmed state public health teams with testing.

The next day, Navarro sent a memo to Trump, warning of a "significant global pandemic," and that the federal government was not moving fast enough to combat the virus.

"There is NO downside risk to taking swift action as an insurance policy against what may be a very serious public health emergency,” Navarro wrote.

But rather than heed the warnings, President Trump downplayed the seriousness of the situation.

“[W]e’re prepared, and we’re doing a great job with it. And it will go away. Just stay calm. It will go away," Trump said on March 10, less than two weeks later."

I was one of those kids who got the polio vaccine years ago. No protests, no "doubters", no idiotic, morally EMPTY politicians or morons on TV and radio telling people to "reject the vax", etc. And guess what?? NO POLIO after those days.

Some of these recent Covid deaths by radio flapping lips, cops, politicians, rabid citizen-anti-vaxxers, and even ministers ............ have demonstrated that THEY WERE WRONG.

Let me see if I get this right .............. ignore life-long infectious disease experts' advice ............... but buy into what REPUBLICAN POLITICIANS and other bullshit artists are pushing with Ivermectin??? Maybe inject some bleach .... a-la T****'s advice from his child's mind????? Or maybe shine an intense light up your ass ................. also a T**** idea.

And many people vote for ASSHOLES that preach such bullshit. But hey ................ they're gonna keep my taxes low ............................ o_O o_O

Only if you are in the 0.1%....the rest of us got screwed. My fave was changing all the withholding rates, yet, not reducing the taxes - so most of us ended up owing where at least it was close before - plus he wiped out all the small business tax breaks, office, mileage, etc, gone.

DeSantis is more unhinged than Trump on the vaccine issue.

Florida Gov. DeSantis threatens heavy fines for local governments that impose vaccine mandates

    excerpt:

"WASHINGTON — Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis is threatening to impose hefty fines on city and county governments that require their employees be vaccinated against Covid.

DeSantis said Monday that his state would fine the local governments $5,000 for each employee that is forced to get a vaccine in order to continue working.

The threat stems from a law DeSantis signed in May that bans “governmental entities in Florida from requiring proof of vaccination or post-infection recovery to gain access to, entry upon, or service from their operations," his office said. "Additionally, the law imposes a $5,000 fine per violation for any entity, including government entities, that asks to see proof of vaccination in Florida.”"

Trump endorses Finchem for Arizona secretary of state.

Finchem was seen outside the Capitol at Trump's riot and has propagated Trump's truther narratives about the alleged stolen election.

Trump gives endorsement in Arizona secretary of state race

    excerpt:

"PHOENIX (AP) — Former President Donald Trump put his mark on the race for Arizona’s top election official Monday, giving his influential endorsement to a state lawmaker who was at the Jan. 6 insurrection and worked to overturn Trump’s 2020 loss.

Trump’s endorsement of Tucson-area Rep. Mark Finchem is likely to be crucial in the crowded Republican primary for Arizona secretary of state. The seat is open as Democratic incumbent Katie Hobbs runs for governor.

Finchem brought Trump attorneys, including Rudy Giuliani, to Phoenix after the election to air bogus allegations that the former president’s narrow loss in Arizona was marred by fraud. Though he’s in the state House, he’s been a mainstay in conservative media promoting Senate Republicans’ partisan review of the 2020 vote count in Maricopa County, the state’s most populous.

“He is a patriot who has fought for our Country right from his earliest moments in government,” Trump said in a statement of Finchem. “Mark was willing to say what few others had the courage to say.”

He called Finchem “a true warrior” and cited the lawmaker’s promotion of Trump’s discredited claims of election fraud. Trump also said Finchem is strong on crime, the border and gun rights “and loves our Military and our Vets.”

Democrats pushed unsuccessfully to expel Finchem from the House earlier this year after he was photographed outside the Capitol during the rally that turned violent as Trump supporters forced their way into the building, disrupting the certification of President Joe Biden’s victory."
