Trump went as far as having the DOJ access phone records of journalists to try to stop leaks. Yet McCarthy and other GOP members of Congress are upset about the Capitol riot investigation requesting media companies to retain communications records of Trump and his associates to determined their involvement in the riot. They have gone as far as making threats to the media companies that involve unspecified retaliatory action that may be implemented if the GOP takes control of the House in 2022.
Like mafia members making veiled threats (it would be terrible if something happened to your business and your daughter).
Fortunately----everything you post is true. Unfortunately, getting through to right wingers is like trying to open a coconut with a spoon!
Sounds suspicious to me, McCarthy definitely has something to hide and so do the rest of the GOP. I can’t wait to see what they discover.
Fuck em all. I still vividly remember the pigs pepper spraying an 80 year old grandmother, who protested at Occupy Wall Street. I remember the pigs pepper spraying women who were already in their custody, and did nothing. These bastards may die in prison, and nobody will mourn them. The only reason the country didn't break in civil war long ago, is money is the only thing motivating anyone anymore. The pigs are now killing each other, in the name of low taxes, while my job is to automate instant karma, and encourage them to kill each other faster.
The Democrats may have only about a year and four months remaining to investigate Trump's insurrection. A GOP takeover of the House in early 2023 would end such investigations and replaced them with inquiries about the fall of Afghanistan to the Taliban. It will be like the Benghazi investigations on steroids. They will also conduct a campaign of blaming Pelosi for not protecting members of Congress from Trump's rioters. Newly passed voter restriction legislation (courtesy Trump's election fraud narratives) and redistricting in the wake of the 2020 census improve the chance of the GOP regaining control of the House which the Democrats currently control by a margin of about eight seats.. Trump's and the RNC's mega-cash trove (also courtesy of election fraud narratives) is available for dispensing to pro-Trump candidates. Trump's post-2020 election rallies have been in states where he is promoting candidates for Congress and other positions, often ones who are running against GOP members who are on his retaliation list related to his two impeachments.
The U.S. Senate is currently evenly split. At least five GOP U.S. Senate seats are up for grabs in 2022 due to members leaving their positions. It's an opportunity for Trump to fill them with people like pro-Trump loyalist and former football coach Tommy Tuberville who, with Trump's help, was elected to the U.S. Senate in 2020 and who had no political experience. Ten U.S. Senate seats are vulnerable to flipping in 2022. The 10 Senate seats most likely to flip in 2022
https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2021/03/09/senate-seats-up-2022/ excerpt: "Retaining both the Senate and the House in 2022, though, will be a tough task. The Democrats’ majorities are among the slimmest in modern history — with a 50-50 Senate and an effective nine-seat House majority — and midterms are usually very tough on a president’s party. Republican retirements are the early story of the 2022 battle for the Senate. The retirement announcement from Sen. Roy Blunt (R-Mo.) this month is already the fifth among the 20 GOP senators facing reelection — fully one-fourth of all GOP incumbents who are up — with some of the seats in competitive states. No Democratic senators have yet announced their retirements. Those exits have reinforced the Democrats’ structural advantage. Every two years, one-third of Senate seats are up, and where those seats lie is hugely important. For now, Democrats have slightly more opportunities to win seats."
HEY EVERYONE! There's a planned right-wing rally in D.C. on September 18, next Saturday, in support of those who've been arrested for their part in the January 6 riot. Security is bracing for it, they're considering bringing back the fencing that was around the Capitol building. Capitol riot: Ex-FBI official says law enforcement needs to take upcoming 'Justice for J6' rally in DC 'very seriously' - CNNPolitics
Egger, I hate the news with a passion, but your headlines always get me, and these all indicate the US government didn't kill Donald Duck already, because they've been delaying for time, and gathering support. They don't want all hell to break loose, but there's no fucking way conservatives can steal our government, without getting stomped on.
Who could have imagined that needed protection tactics for the Capitol that are now greater than those in the wake of 9/11 against foreign terrorists would be implemented because of the behavior of someone like Trump as president.
Moreover, Trump handed Afghanistan to the Taliban who were accused of harboring the terrorists who implemented the 9/11 attack.
Trump also praised and defended his insurrectionists at the Capitol as patriots and complimented the Taliban as smart and tough fighters.
There will be plenty of security in D.C. that weekend. I could be wrong but I predict the rally won't be all that big. A couple thousand, maybe more if they start promoting it as an anti-Biden rally. If there are counter-protests things could get ugly. Anyway it's a week and a half away, time to start looking ahead to it.
Florida Councilman Who Mocked Dr. ‘Falsey’ Fauci Is Hospitalized With Severe COVID excerpt: "Fred Lowry, a councilman for Florida’s Volusia County and a loud COVID-19 denier, is in the hospital with a severe case of COVID-19, according to the County Chair Jeff Brower. “He is in the hospital wrestling with COVID-19. It’s been about three weeks now,” Brower said on Tuesday as Lowry, 66, missed a county council meeting for the second time. Lowry, a Republican halfway through his second term on the Volusia County Council, spread COVID-19 disinformation and conspiracy theories, going so far as to say the pandemic was a hoax. “We were lied to,” he said in a sermon at Denton’s Lakes Baptist Church. Lowry often criticized Dr. Anthony Fauci, whom he nicknamed “Dr. Falsey,” and insisted the top health official was a liar and pervert. Other conspiracies Lowry promoted had to do with media coverage of hydroxychloroquine and the Wuhan lab-leak theory."
