Trump's pardoned cohort Roger Stone (who spoke at Trump's pep rally right before the riot at the Capitol) had been convicted of tampering with witnesses.

Stone's bodyguards at Trump's rally on January 6 were members of the Proud Boys who were involved in an organized effort to breach the Capitol during the riot. They were seen with military style gear moving in formation when breaching the Capitol. Some of the Proud Boys noticed the staircases in the scaffold erected for Inauguration Day with few police guarding it. They overran it which allowed many of Trump's rioters to access the upper level of the Capitol, smash windows, and enter the Capitol.

Florida Department of Health’s new rule: $5,000 fines for some vaccine mandates

"On Aug. 27, the department filed a rule that lays out how it will enforce the measure. Businesses, governments, and schools will be fined $5,000 “per individual and separate violation,” the rule states. That’s the maximum penalty allowed by law.

Violators will be issued a notice of their infraction, and they’ll have a chance to appeal their fines, the rule says. Once a fine is finalized, entities will have 30 days to pay it.

The rule will go into effect Sept. 16.

The course of the pandemic has changed considerably since DeSantis signed the bill banning vaccine passports. The delta variant has proven more transmissible and harder to combat than past iterations of COVID-19. Thousands of Floridians — the vast majority of whom were unvaccinated — have become seriously ill from the virus this summer. The state is not finished counting its dead, but the surge looks to be the worst on record."

 

Considering the orders he has implemented recently, DeSantis might want to start considering his personal safety. It's not like he has the full Secret Service detail protecting him like the president of the U.S.

Maryland man arrested in assault on officers during Jan. 6 Capitol riot

"WASHINGTON (7News) — A Maryland man was arrested Monday for an assault on law enforcement during the Jan. 6 Capitol riot. Uliyahu Hayah, 45, of Silver Spring was charged with assaulting, resisting or impeding certain officers as well as other charges. Hayah was also charged with engaging in physical violence in a restricted building or grounds and civil disorder. He made his initial appearance in court Monday afternoon.

According to court documents, Hayah was seen on video entering the U.S. Capitol building wearing a camouflage backpack, a black head covering, and a gas mask while carrying an American flag, Hayah was among the group walking against the U.S. Capitol Police officers line toward the House chamber. He was in the area of the Speaker's lobby moments after Ashli Babbitt was shot. He was allegedly seen on video in a physical confrontation as law enforcement tried to escort the rioters out of the building. He allegedly put his hands on a Metropolitan Police Department officer and pushed him 10 feet into the crowd. He then left the building by 2:57 p.m."

 

Trump has a knack for attracting previous offenders.

Christopher Michael Cunningham has been charged with knowingly entering or remaining in any restricted building or grounds without lawful authority; disorderly and disruptive conduct in a restricted building; violent entry and disorderly conduct in capitol building or grounds; and parading, demonstrating, or picketing in a capitol building.

Investigators looked through social media posts and video footage after witnessed tipped them off about an account in Cunningham's name. Included in the criminal complaint is a selfie Cunningham took inside the Capitol building."
