One look at the idiots they're rounding up and its obvious that, like Donald Duck, they should have all been thrown in a rubber room a long time ago, but they closed most of the mental hospitals.

Trump rioter Barnhart was upset in 1999 that MSU lost to Duke University, so he incited a riot. He could have alleged that the MSU's 'win' was viciously stolen by Duke.

In the 1999 case, the prosecutor said that Barnhart thinks the laws don't apply to him.

Barnhart isn't any different in 2021 than he was in 1999.

I wonder if his felony was erased from his record? Oh well, looks like he will have another one.

Haslett man charged in connection with Jan. 6 attack at U.S. Capitol

    excerpt:

"Early that year, he was charged with inciting a riot in connection with a melee in East Lansing that caused about $145,000 in damages to the city and the Michigan State University campus, according to State Journal archives. Police said he helped tip over a car.

Barnhart pleaded guilty to unlawful assembly, a maximum five-year felony, and was sentenced to 45 days in jail, 2 years' probation and 100 hours of community service. He also was ordered to pay $5,500 in restitution and fees."

I think they bank on the possibility that most Americans can't remember more than a week or two back. They forgot half of Trump's bull shit by now.

Description of riot in which Barnhart participated in 1999.

MSU lost, couches burned: How the 1999 East Lansing riot unfolded

    excerpt:

"Burkett had a front row seat to the most destructive event in East Lansing's history, the March 27, 1999, riot that followed the Michigan State University men’s basketball team’s loss to Duke in the NCAA Final Four.

That night, a crowd of a few hundred swelled to 10,000 and raged through the streets, propelled by a volatile mix of alcohol, disappointment and youth.

Arsonists and vandals destroyed eight cars, among them a DeWitt Township police cruiser. They broke store windows and parking meters, tossed frozen beer cans from balconies and raided a Taco Bell, fleeing with stolen tacos.

Two dozen people were arrested that night, and more than 100 more in the days and weeks that followed. The property damage exceeded $500,000. With 230 officers from 12 Michigan police agencies, enforcement costs topped $200,000.

As her car burned, Burkett phoned her brother, a cop in Pennsylvania. His advice: Stay put.

But, when the tear gas reached her apartment, she and her friends tried to leave. Police shuttled them back inside.

"The mentality of everything that night went from celebratory to craziness very quickly,” she said.

Nothing in East Lansing since has matched the destruction."

My main concern now is telling the Democrats to hurry up and serve the poor so they can hang on to majorities in House and Senate. I don't want Republicans in control again. The Democrats need to give some treats to the retired people like us. We are a big chunk of the vote nationally and in states like Florida and California.

    https://www.usnews.com/news/us/arti...o-mypillow-ceo-incident-says-it-was-no-attack

    excerpt:

"Buongiorno, a Republican congressional candidate in Florida, said he and two other conference attendees were “shooting the breeze” at the hotel bar late Wednesday when they spotted Lindell making his way through the lobby. They approached him and asked if they could take a photo with Lindell, a businessman who has become an ally of former President Donald Trump.

As Buongiorno finished taking the photos, another man Buongiorno did not know approached the group and asked if he too could have a photo with Lindell. Buongiorno offered to snap the photos with the man's phone.

Lindell's recounting of the incident last week matched much of Buongiorno's description, except that Lindell said the second man wrapped his arm around him and shoved an object into his side. He pointed to a photo that showed the man had a yellow object in his hands.

“It happened pretty fast, but the guy knew what he was doing,” Lindell said, adding that it was “one of the worst attacks on me I’ve ever had."

However, it appeared Lindell waited until Thursday to file a police report after the Sioux Falls Police Department sent an officer to meet with Lindell. He told the conservative talk show FlashPoint last week that he believed the man used his finger. But this week he also said he was checked by medics for puncture wounds.

Buongiorno said nothing he saw could be described as an attack that would leave Lindell in pain. He added Lindell showed no indication anything was amiss as he walked to the glass elevator and rode it to the 6th floor.

Lindell defended his account, saying Buongiorno would not have seen the assault from where he was standing to take the photo. Lindell added that he was scared that saying anything would have escalated the situation and that he doubled over in pain as soon as the elevator doors closed."

Trump praises Taliban leaders and criticizes Afghan leader.

Trump Praises the Taliban as 'Smart' and 'Good Fighters' in Bonkers 'Hannity' Interview

    excerpt:

"Up until around a month ago, former President Donald Trump was taking credit for the withdrawal of American troops in Afghanistan after 20 years of war that cost hundreds of thousands of lives and nearly a trillion dollars.

As he did with brutal leaders like North Korea's Kim Jong Un and Russia's Vladimir Putin, the Trump administration extended unprecedented goodwill toward the Taliban, the radical fundamentalist group that harbored al-Qaeda after the September 11 Attacks. The Trump administration freed thousands of Taliban prisoners and even invited its leaders to Camp David for talks during the week of September 11".

    https://africa.businessinsider.com/news/trump-calls-the-taliban-good-fighters-who-are-really-smart-and-erroneously-claims-the/n77sx4m

    excerpt:

"During the show , Trump also had strong words for Afghanistan's former president Ashraf Ghani - who fled Afghanistan this weekend - calling him a "total crook" who "got away with murder."

"I wanted (the Taliban) to get a deal done with the Afghan government," Trump said. "Now, I never had a lot of confidence, frankly, in Ghani. I said that openly and plainly I thought he was a total crook."

The former president added that Ghani also "spent all his time wining and dining our senators" but did not name particular politicians during the interview.

"The senators were in his pocket. That was one of the problems that we had. But I never liked him, and I guess based on his escape with cash, I don't know, maybe that's a true story. I would suspect it is. All you have to do is look at his lifestyle, study his houses, where he lives. He got away with murder in many, many different ways," Trump said."
