"The FBI arrested a Texas man this week who was recorded ripping the gas mask off a Washington, D.C., police officer, taking his baton and beating him with it during an especially violent push by insurrectionists to breach the western side of the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6.

Steve Cappuccio, identified by online sleuths as #StripesGuy due to the pattern of his clothing recorded during the riot, was recently included in a superseding indictment that has eight other defendants facing criminal action for participating in the assault on police in the Capitol tunnel.

A judge signed an arrest warrant for Cappuccio and several other rioters on Aug. 4. The FBI arrested Cappuccio on Tuesday, and he had his initial court appearance Wednesday. Cappuccio was listed as “123-AFO” on the FBI’s Capitol wanted list, which means he was suspected in the assault of a federal officer, identified by initials in the document."

Kettering man charged in U.S. Capitol riot

"A Kettering man has been arrested in connection with the Jan. 6 Capitol riot, according to federal authorities.

The U.S. Department of Justice said David Mehaffie, 62, made an initial appearance Thursday in court. A phone message left for him by the Dayton Daily News wasn’t returned. An attorney for Mehaffie wasn’t listed in the case docket.

Mehaffie faces charges that include assaulting, resisting or impeding certain officers and aiding and abetting, according to a court record filed Thursday in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio."

 

A big redistricting fight is coming down the pike. I think the DOJ needs to start paying attention, because Trump supporters might cook something up and turn to more violence if they don't get their way.

 

The Dayton, Ohio area seems to be a hot spot for Trump rioters.

Columbus is another hot spot.

Donald Trump, Remorseless Asshole, Apparently Won’t Encourage People to Get Vaccinated Because It Would Be Doing Biden a “Favor”

 

Trump's favorable/unfavorable rating has been about 42/53 for the past few months after recovering from a temporary drop after his insurrection at the Capitol.

He hasn't suffered any long term damage from the riot in terms of his RCP favorable rating.

Trump RCP favorable/unfavorable rating was 37/58 on November 8, 2016, the date of the election, lower than it is today. It was near that number for the month leading up to the 2016 election when people were voting early and worse in the months before that.
